Bad Betrayal

Sometime ago, Respected Celebrity (RC) and Non-showbiz Friend (NF) developed a friendship based on the same political and sexuality agenda. NF was elated, as RC was supportive and even sharing his networks to help various groups. Meanwhile, RC continued using his influence to develop the trustworthiness and popularity of NF.

As RC saw NF as someone who seems to be full of trust, not to mention wit and charm, RC had NF as an assistant to ensure that his Significant Project (SP) would be successful. After all, other than the advocacy with NF, RC had always wanted to pursue a project that truly had his mark. Thus, he entrusted the responsibility, including money matters to NF.

Soon NF was moving in the circles with RC, who started to present his advocacy, SP. As RC is highly credible and has a wonderful SP, friends and supporters started to donate cash. RC was happy that funds were raised, which meant, he can move on to making the advocacy worthwhile.

Over the years, RC and NF bonded until that day when RC noticed something seemed to be wrong and NF could not be found. Thus, began the investigation, RC had a hunch. As soon as he saw the bank records and other financial documents, a huge seven-digit figure was missing. Being cool, RC kept quiet. He refused the idea of talking to the press, as a financial scandal would have been all over the papers and cause embarrassment to the advocacy of RC and NF. What worried RC more is that most of the missing money were from donations coming from showbiz and non-showbiz friends.

The grapevine among the NGOs indicated shock, as NF seemed to be incapable of dishonesty, but the deed was done and rumors have it that NF has a passion for high-end items, such as designer bags.

Unkind Decision

Even before the pandemic of covid-19, high-end residences have been imposing strict measures on people who enter their premises. A non-resident would need to go through many layers before allowed entry. IDs of drivers are necessary. Guards at the gate would sometimes have a list of guests allowed to enter and even require an additional checking by calling the resident. Regardless of the strictness of rules, guests must follow.

With Extended Community Quarantine (ECQ) implemented, every citizen is expected to follow guidelines. People who are not part the essential personnel must remain indoors. Celebrities are often looked up to as models and of course, they are expected to obey the ECQ plus the measures sent by the administration of their residence.

Imagine the shock of residents when Network Celebrity (NC) posted a photo that initially looked innocent. The said photo showed NC with non-residents working with her. While nothing wrong seems to be in the said photo, as NC has to work as well, her residence had just implemented strict rules. No non-resident will be allowed to enter the residence. Home to many famous and opulent people, the administration imposed the exclusive rule to protect its residents.

With the proof uploaded by NC in social media, the administration had to do actions, lest earn the ire of other residents. The security personnel who allowed the entry of the non-residents for NC were suspended. Imagine losing workhours, which might even be under a no-work, no-pay scheme, just because a resident violated the rules for her interest.

Presenting the Alleged Facts

The location of the scenes of their project, placed the cast far away from the city and into a back-to-basics situation. The schedule was tight, as they start early and end as soon as darkness came up, which was the time people are socializing in cities (pre-covid 19, of course).

Actors 1, 2, and 3 and staff were assigned to one tent. Only a curtain gave the occupants privacy. As there was nothing to do and Internet access was unavailable, Actor 1 and the staff rested, while Actors 2 and 3 drank a few beers and started exchanging stories to pass the night. Soon, the stories of Actors 2 and 3 started to be personal and sexual. They talked about how they were discovered and soon, Actor 2 was talking about his experience before he had a career.

Growing up in the province, Actor 2 knew poverty and coping ways. He said he had to cling to gays in the province. He had to hook up with the beauty parlor workers to live, and the other young male teens did the same. Good looks would save one from hunger. Actor 3 was hesitant, but decided to open as well. He revealed he was approached by a talent scout in a mall, where his crew spent time as well. He started modeling, but he just could not get a lift in his career. Then, he was taught that if he wants to climb the career ladder, he must give in to gay executives. He did just that, and now, he indeed has a career.

Meanwhile, Actor 1 was eavesdropping and was shocked that the two suddenly became silent. He stood up and went to the two. He saw that the two were jerking off, as they were turned on by their sexual encounters. They stopped when Actor 1 asked what they were doing. The two said that they were just going tripping. Actor 1 then asked who between them was gay. The two denied and insisted, it was just for fun.

Actor 1 started laughing and revealed that he was listening to the stories of the two. As Actor 1 was laughing, Actor 2 blurted a question that stopped Actor 1. He asked Actor 1 about having gay experiences when he was still living in the province and before he became an actor. Actor 1 had humble beginnings and that was part of how he was built up by his handlers. Expectedly, Actor 1 denied the claim. However, Actor 2 insisted that stories about Actor 1’s pre-career encounters with gays were hot topics in social media. Actor 1 remained quiet and told the two to sleep, as they had an early call time the following day.
