Repost: 'Liway' and 'Signal Rock' Lead Nominees of Luna Awards

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) announced the nominees for the 37th Luna Awards happening on November 30 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater.
Nominees of the Luna Awards are determined by members of the Film Academy of the Philippines, similar to the Academy Awards in the US.
Chito Roño's Signal Rock and Kip Oebanda's Liway lead this year's nominations with 9 each in various categories.
Also in the list is Erik Matti's Buy Bust, starring Anne Curtis, and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, starring Pauo Avelino.
A Nominees' Night is scheduled on November 20, where the stars and members of the production team will gather together before the awards night.

A Very Disappointing Journey

When TA saw LL, he was smitten. At that time, TA already has a name, while LL was a struggling nobody. Although she is already part of the same network, her breaks were few, but still she persisted. TA supported LL in her journey, while he continued with his career. Never did he waver because of love.
What TA could not figure out is that LL had strict rules when it came to photos. LL requested TA not to upload any of their sweet photos. Even if they go out of town or just go on dates, no proof can be found in social media sites. TA was too much in love with LL and thus, he followed her request. Despite being together for a while, they were never intimate and TA respected that. Every time LL would express her frustration at the lack of break or disappointments, TA was the shoulder to cry on.
One day, LL decided to try her luck in a project. These days, production teams hold auditions to find talents and such practices add credibility in choosing actors or actresses. Besides, when talents come for auditions, the production team knows that they will cooperate without any prima donna attitude because they came to the audition and were not merely assigned by the management. LL did her best and she only wanted to join the supporting cast. Lady Luck smiled and she was in.
TA was very happy for the success of LL and knowing her disappointments, he knew how much she yearned for a role. As days passed, TA noticed their communication dwindling. His calls were not returned and text replies were scarce. LL said that she was just busy, as she had to ensure that she will not be a disappointment. The day came that TA dreaded – LL called and broke up with him. He even bargained that he will adjust for her, but she was firm in her decision. A relationship would hinder her movement.
After he realized the pain breaking up came with, TA was inconsolable and he cried in private. He was very hurt, as he stood for LL during her low moments and in her triumph, she dumped him. However, he had to move on. A few weeks passed and TA was in for more heartbreak. Thinking that LL was true to her word of choosing career over love, TA found out that it was not so. These days, LL has allegedly been seeing a Young Businessman (YB), who happens to be a scion of a political family. Even if YB has ties with public figures, he has remained in the background and focused on his endeavors. Consequently, TA realized LL was not going back to him anymore.
