Moving on is one tough decision to make for young artists, as the future holds no certainty. Fans might not even give the same reception for someone who goes solo after coming from a successful group act. Moreover, the management might not be supportive of such plan, which could contradict its own career path for the artist.
Sometime ago, the production team noticed that Young Singer (YS) seemed no longer uninterested in performing with her teammates. Her group is among the most well-received numbers every time they performed in the network’s prime programs. The group’s concerts were sold-out and their management was very proud of their accomplishment as a team. However, during rehearsals, YS would not be around. Excuses, such as having a gig a night before, became rampant. By contrast, when she has solo or a duet, she would come in early for rehearsals. She wants to sing with the seasoned male singers of the show as well. Finally, YS told the producer of her show that she wants to become a solo artist to grow in her career. She thinks that being in a group would not elevate her status. Unfortunately, the producer decided to dissolve their group, as one unhappy member can ruin chemistry.
As YS has vocal prowess, the producer suggested a number with Famous Belter (FB). YS admitted she was not interested at all. The producer was shocked as YS should consider FB her mentor and turning down a number meant something must be deeply wrong. However, the production head could not take more of the demands of YS, and thus the decision is to lessen the numbers of YS in the show.
Incidentally, YS rejected FB because she has not yet moved on from being left out in the cold. FB made a decision that relegated YS to the sidelights. YS believes that had she been the one chosen, she could have won in the finals hands down. Thus, whenever FB would have a reunion gig with her group, only YS would be missing. In addition, a family member wants YS to achieve more than FB did, and the former is indeed a dutiful daughter.

Must Show Courage

Established Celebrity (EC) had to choose between humility and hunger. Hence, EC approached a Powerful Personality (PP) if she could have a project with the station. PP thought hard and consulted the higher ups for the decision.
Over the years, EC has worked in various projects that showcased her versatility in various talents. EC is a convincing actress in drama and comedy. She can even slay the competition in dance numbers and sometime ago, EC was synonymous to the latest dance craze. Although she practically grew up in showbiz, many of her life choices had an impact on her career as well as personal life. Her life is even more complex than the characters she has played in her projects.
As time passed, most of her earnings had been spent on a lifestyle that was hard to maintain. Later on, the projects stopped coming because EC preferred to have a private life. With no money coming in and a habit that needed to be supported, things spiraled for EC.
Friends tried to help EC get by. Famous Performer (FP) paid for her rent for a year and the money she earned for special appearances, such as showing up in campaigns, was gone. She could no longer approach FP, who has done much for her.
One way or another, EC would make rare appearances that were always savored, but such came with a price for the production. EC did not have the discipline that was expected from seniors, and thus, her lack of professionalism during certain moments affected the production. Consequently, the financial side of her projects suffered. That memory was still fresh in the mind of PP. In the middle of production, EC came to the set allegedly under the influence of a certain substance. Her behavior was noticeable, and the station would not tolerate such. The production had to adjust without EC.
Time flies and EC seemed to be in her best element when she communicated with PP. PP has had a soft spot for EC. As EC has gone through ways to rid of her habits, PP took her in and decided to offer EC a long contract. The terms would ensure that EC had income and would no longer resort to borrowing from friends.
EC was excited at the possibility of work. As read her contract terms, she paused for a few moments. A stipulation indicated that she would be sued if she gets back to her old habit or even if she gets associated with such. EC could not believe what she was reading, but between nothing and something, she signed the contract.
