She Comes and Just Goes

Spunky Media Personality (MP) is turning out to be as talented as or even more versatile than her contemporaries. Within a few months, her network has given her projects that tested her hosting and acting talents. MP, having been honed in another network, did not waste time as she showed her glib and spontaneity. While at times, the audience could not grasp her humor, she managed to settle down and eventually won the viewers to her side because of her candor that sometimes bordered on tactlessness. In terms of acting, MP has shown that she can tackle drama and comedy.
However, prior to MP’s relaunch in her current network, she has already been the subject of certain rumors about her personality. In short, while she projects fun on cam, she can be quite rude when cameras are no longer rolling.
When a celebrity is rude off cam, he/she sometimes requires understanding as he/she could be undergoing a bad day or is suffering from fatigue. Sometimes, fans can be pushy, and celebrities, being only human, can sometimes react with surprisingly negative reactions or words.
In the case of MP’s story, people are surprised at how unfriendly she can be. For instance, when she goes for treatment that requires her to take injection shots, she enters the clinic, walks in, and stretches her arms. She does not say anything, not even a brief greeting to her doctors. After her injection, she leaves, and not even a simple “thank you” comes out of her mouth. With all her blessings and her fame, MP could do better by extending a bit of sincere friendliness with the ordinary people she deals with everyday.

A Sad Christmas

Media Personality MP has always been controversial. Observers note that MP’s not-so-ordinary look is what makes people take a second look. To industry watchers, MP is just hype, for he has no relevant talent to speak of, except perhaps for his “masa” appeal brought about by his image. MP is like an everyday guy you meet randomly who dishes out street language aka ‘salitang-kalye,’ which of course the general public identifies with.
Anyway, MP has been in the industry long enough and has attained some degree of status. In his network, MP heads a business unit composed of several Staff Members SM who help him run his tasks in the organization. During the holidays, MP tasked SM to organize their Christmas party and everything in it like the party theme, food, games, etc. Highlight of any Christmas party is of course the raffle, which can never stand without a budget for the prizes. Thus MP reportedly took charge of it, calling on Businessmen Clients BC for solicitation. Talking to MP, BC promised substantial raffle prizes, assuring him that the raffle prizes would be appreciated by SM.
Days before the party, MP dispatched his SM to collect the raffle prizes that included boxes of grocery packages, food hampers, gift certificates, even gadgets and appliances. SM’s were so happy seeing them.
On the day of the party, everyone was very excited knowing of the huge raffle prizes that awaited them. But at the party venue, they noticed that the prizes they collected from BC were nowhere. They were shocked that what remained were just GC’s or gift certificates. SM’s looked at each other as if asking themselves where did MP keep the big items? And so during the raffle, all that they got were GC’s – everyone was disheartened.
It was quite a sorrowful holiday party the SM had for they expected much from it. After all, those were solicited gifts that were intended for them. Where indeed, have those many gifts gone? Well, only and only MP has the answer.
