Junking What's Lovely

So many stories and labels have been said about Actor Model AM, many of which were unfavorable. From his style with women down to his hygiene practices, his devil-may-care attitude adds spice to his eccentric personality. There is nothing that he will not do. To a great extent, AM's attention-grabbing stunts often get him his much-desired attention.

AM's lovelife is never wanting, he seems to thrive on it. Yet, all the girls he had loved before do not have good words for him even years after the conclusion of their relationship. For reasons of his own, AM can easily move on and get on with his life after each break up – something no woman would find amusing.

Yet he loves women, beautiful women, and he easily gets attracted to them. His showbiz relationships attest to it, that AM settles for nothing less.

Women and his love for drinking kind of compliment each other.

Lately 'though, he is often seen in a high-end bar dating different girls, as in a different girl each time. AM is a familiar face there and club habitués are in awe each time they see him being sweet with girls one wouldn't think he would even like to be seen with. These girls are a far-cry from the glamour girls he used to date before – plain, unattractive, generally drab and uninteresting.

Seems like AM's latest hobby is collecting these Jane's of all shapes and sizes to go with his favorite booze. After all, variety is the spice of life.

" Beauty is everywhere -- on the campus, in the office, living next door ... Nice girls like sex too -- it's a natural part of life. Don't be ashamed of it." ~ Hugh Hefner

Tell-tale Dudes on Blooming Babes

Two hot hunks (H1 and H2) were heard trading stories about their experience with two younger actresses (A1 and A2) from their network. Sometime ago, A1 was quite vocal about her wish to be paired with H1, who still has his following despite the ups and downs of his career. Eyebrows rose at this public pronouncement of A1, as her image is comparatively innocent to that of the worldly image of H1. Other than the obvious gap in age, H1 and A1 do not have screen chemistry.

Meanwhile, A2, who started in the business earlier than A1, has always had a dual image. On the one hand, she’s this talented girl next door, who has an on and off real and reel partner. On the other hand, her name and reputation are dragged in scandalous incidents that the network has opted to be silent about. H2 is a homegrown talent of their network. He has the looks, the voice, and the physique, but somehow, he really has yet to overcome his reputation of being a bad actor. Definitely, H2 and A2 also do not have that onscreen chemistry.

So, what were H1 and H2 talking about? Well, the hunks were comparing bedroom notes about their alleged trysts with A1 and A2, respectively. What was disturbing was that H2 has a relationship with another network talent, and the public is aware of what the family of his girlfriend can do if he breaks her heart. By contrast, after several consecutive relationships that seemed to have happened one after the other, H1 is not committed to anyone now. Boys will be boys, but A1 and A2 can’t seem to wait to grow up.

Sen. Lito Lapid and Pork Barrel

Has anyone else noticed that we have a lot of former action stars in public office? That aside, we've heard about pigs, parrots, and (female) llamas. Now, for more animal metaphors, fish. Senator Lito Lapid gave a rare interview and as reported by GMANetwork.com, and shared with us that he feels the loss now that the PDAF has been ruled unconstitutional.

We're not sure how the tuyo-loving public will appreciate this seeming putdown of a breakfast favorite. Cheer up, Senator Lapid. The vegan movement is upon us. Soon, most of us will feel iffy about eating fish.

DSWD Hoards Foreign Aid Inside Aquino Stadium

UN, UK START PROBE ON DIVERSION OF RELIEF GOODS

The United Nations said yesterday it would launch an investigation into foreign relief goods not reaching their intended destinations in the Visayas region devastated by typhoon Yolanda. It may start at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila where packages of relief goods are stacked several feet high almost filling the entire basketball court-size arena and which the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) had declared off limits to media.

The United Nations and the United Kingdom are now investigating reports that aid has yet to reach remote parts of the Philippines a month after a devastating typhoon.

The Tribune, acting on a tip that the foreign relief packages are being hoarded inside the arena, sent its photographer to take photos of the stored relief goods. The photographer who managed to enter the stadium was accosted by DSWD staff barring her to do her job of taking news photos and was told that the DSWD does not allow photographs of the relief items since “DSWD has been getting bad press lately about relief distribution.” The Tribune photographer tried to reason with the DSWD staff that it was her job to take pictures since it was her assignment but the DSWD personnel adamantly turned her away.

Nonetheless, The Tribune news photographer said that what she saw were sacks and cartons of foreign aid being guarded by two female personnel wearing T-shirts with DSWD printed on them and four young assistants inside the stadium guarding the relief goods from the stands.

The Ninoy Aquino Stadium is one of indoor sporting arenas in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, the other being the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. The difference between the two is that the Ninoy Aquino Stadium has airconditioning being the more modern between the two.

The source who tipped off the Tribune on the aid being hoarded inside the stadium was wondering about the DSWD’s intention in keeping all purely foreign donations being kept in Manila when the disaster areas are all in the Visayas.

Observations from the field also indicated that most of the relief items distributed to the survivors of the widespread disaster were without exception local products even if foreign donations kept flowing into the disaster-hit regions.

The DSWD had earlier required all donations to be repacked before these are distributed to the typhoon-hit areas.

According to the government’s Foreign Aid Transparency Hub (Faith) which supposedly gives an updated count of the foreign assistance that flowed to victims of typhoon Yolanda a total of P21.2 billion in aid has been committed thus far broken down into P3.73 billion in cash and P17.5 billion in relief goods.

Thus far, the government acknowledged receiving P531 million as cash aid.

London publication Daily Mail said in a recent article called “Philippines aid scandal: Food flown in from Britain ends up in shops hundreds of miles from typhoon” said relief goods from the United Kingdom had turned up “on shelves of shops in the capital Manila; equipment bought with UK donations have been locked up in warehouses; and rice and other food is being stockpiled and not given to needy.”

It added that “shelter equipment purchased using British donations has been locked up in government warehouses and stockpiled alongside rice and other food intended for victims of last month’s catastrophe.”
The report said that the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) – an umbrella group representing 14 UK charities – expressed concern about evidence that suggests not all the 60-million UK pounds worth of aid given by Britain is reaching those most in need.

“Alarming evidence of the thefts has been provided by expat Keb Darge, 56, who says he faces death threats for stopping local officials stealing aid in Eastern Samar, one of the worst-hit areas. Darge, a disc jockey originally from Scotland, said: ‘The aid isn’t getting through to where it’s needed. I’ve seen the deliveries arrive and I’ve seen them disappear,” according to the newspaper.

It said that only a tiny percentage of the aid is getting through. The situation isn’t going to improve unless there’s an investigation. Someone needs to go and find out exactly what is happening. It is British aid coming in. Why give it to untrustworthy officials to steal? It is ludicrous.’

Darge supposedly photographed supplies being locked up rather than distributed in Eastern Samar, where he used to live with his Filipino wife and their nine-year-old daughter.

“Now he has gone into hiding in Manila, fearing reprisals after receiving threats from the corrupt officials he has been trying to expose.

There are also concerns that supplies are simply being wasted. Mr Darge described finding 800 beef-burgers – apparently flown in from the US aircraft carrier George Washington were dumped by the roadside.

Valerie Amos, U.N. Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, said she had expected that aid had been delivered by helicopter to survivors in even the most remote outlying islands following the Nov. 8 disaster.

“Although we’ve got significant aid now coming in to the major centers, we still have a little bit of a worry that in a couple of the smaller islands that there may be needs there that we haven’t managed to meet yet,” she said.

“I’m still hearing worrying reports in the media — indeed I heard one this morning — where people said they hadn’t received any aid as yet, and we’re looking into that,” she said.

Typhoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan) and its tsunami-like storm surge plowed through Tacloban and other coastal areas, leaving more than 5,700 dead and more than 1,700 missing throughout the region. About 4 million people were displaced.

The United Kingdom government said it is working closely with the Philippine government and international aid agencies to check on reports that needed humanitarian aid is being diverted, the British Embassy in Manila said.

The British Embassy in Manila issued the statement following reports of missing relief goods from international donors that have generated rage and concern over social media recently, its regional office here said on Monday.

“We have no evidence of British aid being used for anything other than the relief effort, which is helping hundreds of thousands of Filipinos rebuild their lives,” the British Embassy said in a statement on its website.

DSWD officer-in-charge for Eastern Visayas Nestor Ramos said they will seek clarification from their workers on the ground to address this concern.

“Usually, when there are donations from the international organizations, we just make an inventory of it by box, but we are not opening that box. We immediately dispatch them to the different municipalities. We have a list of distribution plan as to who will be given priority. We do not repack (these relief goods) in our offices,” Ramos explained.

Ramos also encouraged members of media to visit their relief hubs to see for themselves whether the DSWD has been indeed keeping these goods inside cadaver bags just to hide them from the public.

He also addressed complaints raised by some volunteers who were displeased with DSWD’s “rotational policy” in line with its food-for-work program. He said rotating the volunteers was necessary so they could give equal opportunity to everyone.

Fielding questions from media, DSWD officer-in-charge for Eastern Visayas Nestor Ramos said they have not yet received information regarding the matter but they will seek clarification from their workers on the ground to address this concern.

“The reality on the ground is there are NGOs (non-government organizations) directly distributing relief goods to LGUs (local government units)… (In) every municipality, we have already deployed (teams) to assess whether commodities are being received by our people in the villages,” Ramos said.

Ramos said they will investigate the Daily Mail report, as well as the alleged hoarding of imported relief goods from international organizations by corrupt local officials to be swapped with local ones hidden inside cadaver bags.

Ramos also encouraged members of the media to visit their relief hubs to see for themselves whether the DSWD was indeed keeping these goods inside cadaver bags just to hide them from the public. If so, why was the Tribune photographer barred by the DSWD from taking pictures of the stored relief goods?

Art Sale Plagued by Forgery Rumors

"It’s a copy." -- National Artist Benedicto “BenCab” Cabrera on Lot 7, a drawing offered by Art Gallery Asia

Source: www.bworldonline.com

National Artist Benedicto “BenCab” Cabrera has denied the authenticity of Lot 7, a Mother-and-Child drawing offered at Mga Obra sa Santuario: An Art Exhibit of Filipino Masters and Contemporary Artists. Organized by Makati-based Art Gallery Asia in partnership with the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Forbes Park, the ongoing art sale at the Pasilyo de San Antonio is supposed to benefit the Friars’ Health Fund and victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

Based on an image of the offered work, Mr. Cabrera determined that the drawing was a forgery. In a phone interview with BusinessWorld on Dec. 3, Mr. Cabrera said Art Gallery Asia was in possession of a copy of one of his Madonna series drawings. He has seen this drawing before, he added, and he is sure that it is a forgery because the original is currently in his personal collection.

The work, which was never exhibited, was reproduced on a postcard some 10 years ago. Mr. Cabrera believes that forgers have used the postcard, which was sold at The BenCab Museum in Baguio, as a reference image for fakes. “Mukhang tunay (It looks real),” he said.

“They don’t even change it, they just copy it.”

Art Gallery Asia owner Bong Versoza stands by the drawing, saying that it is from a friend -- a “reputable collector” -- who has given him other artworks in the past. “I did not verify [the BenCab piece] because I trust [this person],” Mr. Versoza said in a phone interview with BusinessWorld on Dec. 3. He added that the drawing came with a certificate of authenticity from Mr. Cabrera.

Rumors have been swirling around the sale since it opened on Nov. 15. “We believe that there is a group trying to discredit the exhibit out of jealousy,” the Art Gallery Asia owner continued. “At first they said everything was fake.”

These claims are unsubstantiated, according to Mr. Versoza. “It’s been a week, and no one has spoken to us,” he said, referring to recognized experts and authorities. Mr. Versoza did say he received a phone call from a competing gallery owner, who, he added, has also been badgering the priests of Santuario de San Antonio Parish into taking down the exhibit.

The owner of the alleged BenCab forgery, who spoke to BusinessWorld on Dec. 3 on the condition of anonymity, said that he purchased the drawing from Dino Miranda, a broker, who acquired it from sculptor Mike Immatong, who, in turn, got it from BenCab’s nephew Bobby Cabrera. The collector added that he had no intentions of selling the piece until a friend persuaded him to join the charitable sale for the sake of Yolanda victims.

Mr. Versoza said that this “controversy” is ruining a good cause. “The ones really affected by these rumors are the beneficiaries,” he added.

Despite allegations of forgery, the gallery still makes at least one sale every day. “Watch out for Mga Obra sa Santuario 2,” Mr. Versoza said, adding that he is already planning another sale at the church next year.

Mga Obra sa Santuario: An Art Exhibit of Filipino Masters and Contemporary Artists is ongoing until Dec. 8 at Pasilyo de San Antonio, Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Forbes Park, Makati City.

KC Concepcion on Phil Younghusband: I Don't Know Him

Source: www.abs-cbnnews.com

KC Concepcion is clueless as to how rumors romantically linking him to Phil Younghusband started, saying the only instance they ever spoke was during a televised interview more than a year ago.

The 28-year-old actress addressed the rumor in an interview with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe, shortly after a press conference held Thursday for upcoming film, "Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story."

"Honestly, ang tagal ko na ring naririnig 'yan," Concepcion said, when asked to explain her supposed ties with Younghusband. "Ayoko na nga mag-comment about it, kasi nakakapagod na rin 'yung tsismis na wala namang pinaggagalingan."

She continued, "Ako, unang-una, wala akong... Hindi ko siya kilala. I mean, once ko lang siya nakausap siguro, which is 'yung interview pa with 'yung girlfriend niya at the time."

Concepcion was referring to the defunct ABS-CBN talk show "The Buzz," which she co-hosted from 2010 to 2011. Younghusband's girlfriend at the time was actress Angel Locsin, who confirmed her breakup with the football player in October this year.

In denying rumors linking him to Concepcion last week, Younghusband similarly mentioned the interview, saying it was the only time he ever met the "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" actress.

Publicity stunt?

As to how the rumor about her and Younghusband surfaced, Concepcion mentioned the possibility of it being a supposed publicity stunt for Locsin's upcoming series.

The "One More Try" star is set to make her drama series comeback via "The Legal Wife," which also stars Maja Salvador, Jericho Rosales and JC de Vera.

"Ang hindi ko rin alam kung part 'to ng promo ng magiging teleserye ng ex-girlfriend niya," Concepcion said, referring to Younghusband and Locsin. "Pero sana naman, huwag na nila ako idawit or isama sa gano'n kasi may mga iba namang nangyayari sa buhay ko."

"Parang hindi ko na kailangang bigyan pansin 'yung ibang bagay na... Napaka-busy ko rin. Ang dami kong ginagawa, bakit ako tsinitsismis?"

Concepcion clarified, however, that she bears no ill feelings toward Locsin or Younghusband. "I have nothing against him. Pero hindi ko siya... Pati si Angel, hindi ko naman siya... Hindi kami magkaaway, hindi rin kami close, so hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling."

"Baka naman may mga tao sa paligid na gusto kaming i-connect, o gusto kaming sirain, or siraan," she added. "Pero wala talaga kaming konek, so hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit kailangan akong isama sa ganyan. Alam naman nilang wala."

In a separate interview early this week, Younghusband was asked on the possibility of having a romantic relationship with Concepcion. The Azkals striker brushed off the question, saying he is "still in love" with Locsin.

Strikingly Talentless

A Television Network TN has decided to put up a special concert for the benefit of those who were hit by the deadly calamity. Performing in the said concert were all of TN's talents and some invited guest artists. Acclaimed Performer AP was one of those guests.

Every sane artist knows how passionate and fastidious AP is of her craft. Being a multi-awarded artist, no one can question what this industry veteran is all about. AP has long earned her unique status in the industry, has every right to critique anyone and her words stick like glue.

At the TN concert rehearsal, AP learned that due to the huge number of performers, each production/musical number would be a group number. During her rehearsal break, something caught AP's attention. She noticed that a Stiff Performer SP would be doing a solo number. Intrigued, she quipped, " Why, what's the big deal? " No one attempted to reply.

AP then decided to watch SP's number during its rehearsal to see for herself. Reportedly, her reaction was one of disbelief. She was apparently annoyed and bothered, far from being convinced. After SP's number, AP allegedly said, "Uh oh, so she (SP) and another Annoying Singer AS are in the same league? Hmmm, they look good together. Next time they may want to do a duet together. "

Notably, AP's reaction was not new as far as SP is concerned. Her opinion echoes those of the others for the longest time. But the novel part was her mention of SP and AS having a thing in common. But those in the know will add that there's one more that SP and AS have in abundance – confidence.

The saying – the best accessory is confidence – does not sound so pleasant in this case.

Is That Bakla after You?

NO EXIT. You're not really afraid of gay men. You're afraid that a man will treat you the way you treat women. “Sexual Discrimination of the Mind” by Andy Singer

Source: www.rappler.com

For every gay man there is a straight man who has feared him. In Filipino culture it isn't unusual to hear, "Pare, bading ba yan? Baka hipuan ka n'yan! (Is he gay? He might fondle you!)" in reference to a gay acquaintance.

Whenever these men know they will be in contact with a gay man - be it a doctor, a friend, ateacher, or a classmate - they are on high alert, as if this bakla just has to satisfy himself on them and will not be stopped.

Why are straight men compelled to believe that gay men are out to molest them?

It is not rare for straight men to give proud statements of how they would physically attack a gay man should they feel threatened by them sexually. "'Pag may bading na tumingin sakin sa CR, uumbagin ko(I'm going to hit any gay man who looks at me in the bathroom)." Men seem to be so on guard about thebakla's advances to the point of violence, as if gay men are compelled to force themselves on them.

The threat of a male body

Many men fear that the bakla will come on to them as if gay men have no control of their desires. They believe that men are wired with strong sexual urges, but unlike a female admirer, a gay man might actually be able to physically overpower them. But bearing this view is an admission that all men are helpless to their sexuality. Or does it become okay if the objects of their uncontrollable urges are women? Does it make it "normal" when men harass women instead of men?

The fear of the predatory gay man is the closest men will get to the fear constantly felt by women who have to fight off unwanted advances daily. It's true what they say that you're not really afraid of gay men, but just afraid a man will treat you the way you treat women. You're afraid that a man who has the physical ability to force himself on you will do so on a whim. Congratulations! You’ve just described the fear women face in their daily lives.

False generalizations

Of course, there are gay men who are overly pushy about their desires and enjoy teasing men about wanting them sexually, just like there are many straight men who do this to women. Men constantly chase women, harass them and sexually assault them, but this is not a reason to fear all men in general, right? Just like there are many straight men who respect women and would never force them against their wishes, most gay men pursue romantic and sexual prospects in a mature and sensitive manner.

Majority of sex offenders are heterosexual men, and yet gay men are often blamed for instances of pedophilia and molestation. It's fairly common for a female victim of sexual abuse to be told to keep quiet or to be blamed for the assault, but an aggressive gay man is treated as if he needs to be exposed. A straight man is also never blamed for his outfit or his actions if he is ever assaulted. Why the double standard? Men who chase women relentlessly are referred to as "lalake lang (simply being men)," but a man who chases other men is suddenly an aberration - a sick person who must be stopped with violence - when the only difference is their object of affection. Is it because it's not "normal" the way chasing women is?

Do unto others

The next time you encounter a gay man and fear that this person (who has never wronged you) will pursue you sexually, ask yourself the following things:

1. How would you feel if every woman you meet feels you will rape them? When you are suspicious of every bakla you meet, this is how you're treating them.

2. What qualities make you completely irresistible that gay men have to pursue you? Are you that incredibly hot that they would risk a violent reaction just to touch you? It might be time for a mirror.

3. As a straight man, do you have some taste in women and practice restraint, or do you fondle each one you see? Gay men are just as picky, reserved, and as hesitant as you are when it comes to women, unless of course you do not have these qualities.

4. Are you afraid that being flattered by a man's attention instead of reacting violently to it makes you gay? You are not gay until you enjoy sex with men, and assaulting men doesn’t mean you’re not. Is it absolutely impossible to simply decline politely, the way you would if you were pursued by a woman who isn't your type?

5. How would you feel if women had a plan of violence against you if you simply looked their way? You are right - it's incredibly paranoid, baseless, and an outright obsession. Check who actually has a physical need to hurt someone, because it might just be you.

Things seem to drastically shift when one places themselves in the shoes of others, or when one reverses the roles and treats homosexuals as people just like you with valid desires and needs. Gay men exist all around you, and they're not just the ones you can pinpoint and avoid. Contrary to popular opinion, gay people actually know where to find consensual sex. We are not these sex-starved uncontrollable perverts in your mind.

So the next time you think gay people keep coming on to you, try not to flatter yourself. We do have some taste, and we get what we need without much effort from other consenting adults, and mostly from our kind. Consider too that your paranoia may be a reflection of your secret desires. That bakla is not out to get you, no more than you are out to force yourself on every woman around.

Vilma Santos is among the 422 Officials Asked to Leave Their Posts

Source: www.rappler.com

At least 422 local officials, including 20 congressmen, have been asked by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to vacate their posts for failing to submit on time and properly filing their election contributions and expenses to the poll body.

In a press conference, Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr said these officials either failed to submit their Statement of Election Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE), did not personally sign the SOCE, or did not use the prescribed SOCE form.

Among those that have been asked to step down are Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Muntinlupa Representative Rodolfo Biazon, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, Pasay City Mayor Tony Calixto, and Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino.

"We are just complying with the law," said Brillantes.

"Alam na naman nila ito, pero hindi naman sila sumusunod," added Brilantes. (They are aware of this, but they do not follow the law.)

In defense of Vilma

In a statement, Senator Ralph Recto defended his wife and Governor Vilma Santos, saying that the Batangas Comelec officer was "shocked and surprised" by the Comelec order. Recto said the Batangas governor filed her SOCE on June 6, earlier than the deadline, using the Comelec prescribed form. "We followed all laws, rules and regulations," he said.

Recto also said they have a "certificate of compliance dated June 6 from Comelec Batangas that we complied."

Recto said they reviewed "just now all the documents we filed and we do not see any mistakes." If there were mistakes spotted, the Comelec should have informed them, Recto argued, so that they could have rectified any error, "if there’s any."

Comelec breakdown

The Comelec's list includes 169 officials from the Liberal Party and 44 from the National Unity Party allied with the ruling party, according to a report by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ).

In addition, there are 39 candidates from the Nacionalista Party, 31 from the Nationalist People's Coalition, 29 from the opposition United Nationalist Alliance, and 17 from Lakas-CMD. 33 of the violators were independent candidates.

The order has been sent to the House of Representatives and the Department of the Interior and Local Government for implementation.

According to Republic Act 7166, all candidates, winning or losing, have to submit their Statement of Election Contributions and Expenses 30 days after the polls. Section 14 states that, "No person elected to any public office shall enter upon the duties of his office until he has filed the statement of contributions and expenditures herein required."

Once they comply with the proper filing of SOCEs, they will be reinstated to their respective offices.

The composition of non-compliant elected officials are as follows:
4 governors
1 vice governor
12 provincial board members
20 House representatives
26 city and municipal vice mayors
35 city and municipal vice governors
324 city and municipal councilors

PCIJ's report listed 1 assemblyman from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) who was not included in the Comelec's breakdown.

GMA7 Issues 'Fat Notice' to Unfit Talents

Just how important is fitness among actors in the industry? Looks like in both television and movies, actors under network management do not have a choice regarding decisions about their bodies.

While a friend was having dinner yesterday, she saw and had small talk with actor Sid Lucero. She asked him about his projects and what is keeping him busy lately. He intimated to her that he is not as busy as he used to be. Right now, he is bent on working to lose the extra poundage to stay relevant and visible in the industry.

He told her that he was issued a memo by his GMA7 Management that he had to lose weight and be fit or else he would not be given projects. No sane actor would challenge such an order if he wants to survive, literally and figuratively.

If I remember it right, his cousin, Geoff Eigenmann was also given the same order by the management when he looked like he could no longer control himself getting big horizontally. He just had to do it - or he would be jobless.

A few months after, Geoff emerged and surprised everyone with his new buff and muscled body – plus a more handsome look, to boot. Not long after, he gets visible on television again.

Looks like Sid is next in line to hit the gym, too. Good for him, this is a win-win challenge. You get to be fit and look good – then happy all the way to the bank.

Having fun while having funds, so they say. Cheers!

Jessy Mendiola's Maria Mercedes Not Doing As Well

After all the controversies and heavy promotion, the much-hyped teleserye, Maria Mercedes is reportedly not doing well in the ratings game months after its pilot airing. Allegedly, production team is in the doldrums for failing to hit the target numbers. As we all know, low ratings results in poor advertising placements - the nightmare of any producer.

The show which stars pretty and hot actress, Jessy Mendiola, opposite hunk actors Jake Cuenca and Jason Abalos, has been having a rough time sailing and proving itself among the other successful teleseryes of ABS-CBN network. Critics say that casting seems to be one of the show's major dilemmas – pointing out that there is just no chemistry among the players. Viewers quip that cast are mismatched in the roles assigned to them.

People behind the show's publicity, one of them, Eric John Salut, has supposedly been trying to give the show more oomph and excitement through various gimmicks possible – or publicity stunt, to be more accurate.

Hence the Jessy Mendiola video with ace UAAP cagers, Jeric and Jeron Teng, has started going viral. The video, recorded inside a popular fast food restaurant, (with Jeron introducing what the video was all about) shows Mendiola clad in a red figure-hugging, sexy outfit walking towards the direction of the shocked Jeric who was eating, sat down in front of him and tried to tease the cager.

Jessy, who is the current endorser of the fast food giant, became the hot topic that trended online for a day after the video, produced by the fast food chain went viral.

We hope that this gimmick, for all its worth, can help alleviate the disappointing showing of Maria Mercedes.
