This October, we’re bound to celebrate the thriving Filipino youth of today who love to break barriers, grind for a better living, and hustle in spite of the daily challenges. A reason why Universal Records Philippines, co-presented with Maya and in partnership with Robinsons Malls is proud to announce this event aptly called “Young Blood”, a really rad mall event that caters to the young, relentless, and solid Filipino music fans.
This event will be headlined by some of the most sought-after OPM hip-hop act artists of today, taking place this October 8, 2022 at Robinsons Manila. "Young Blood" will also showcase some really fun activities for fans. There will be interactive games on stage before the show proper and expect a tattoo and piercing booths.
Of course, gracing the event is a solid line-up of entertaining hip-hop artists the local youth look up to nowadays.
Expect explosive performances from Hero, Yuridope, and the Rap Phenom himself Shanti Dope, who recently dropped the anthemic song “Maya” that depicts the angst of the young generation who’s never shy to hustle all day. Starting the Rumor

When people start noticing behavior out of the ordinary, they would tend to speculate the reason for such actions. No one can control what others would think, especially if they have a reputation.
Some time ago, Versatile Actor (VA) and Stern Talent (ST) were matched in a project that promised to show certain areas yet to be familiar to the local audience. Like a few of his contemporaries, VA has a reputation that was known to the production and of course, ST. However, such character was dismissed, as VA seemed to have changed for the better.
Then the rumors started. Allegedly, VA made sure ST would not be able to resist his charm. The rumor reached VA, who denied other than professionalism happened while the project was going on. ST laughed at the idea as well.
How then did the rumor start? Apparently, VA and ST were seen locking themselves in one room during the lull. Their actions did not go unnoticed and observers worried VA might be doing something that would make his camp nervous. Whether their actions went beyond professional conduct, only the walls of the locked room would know. VA and ST had shot down the rumor and therefore, no more of such stories will be circulated.

Girl group Blackpink’s agency YG Entertainment said Monday it requested the police to begin an investigation to find who first leaked member Jennie’s personal photos.
“We have officially requested the police to investigate who first circulated Blackpink Jennie’s personal photos,” reads a statement by YG issued on the same day.
“YG has been consistently monitoring the matter and filed a lawsuit in September after collecting information. We have refrained from mentioning the matter or making an official statement in order to minimize any further damage. However, there have been indiscriminate rumors, criticism, personal attacks, sexual harassment and violations of personal life sparked by those private photographs. We are now announcing that we will take legal action and correct the situation.”
While the agency did not specify which incident it is referring to, Jennie and V of BTS have been embroiled in dating rumors in recent months, with photographs that people claim to be the two stars together circulating on the internet.
“YG takes strong legal action against [online] posts that damage our artists’ character or reputation,” the statement continues. “Regarding this matter, we announce that we have also sued those making malicious posts, or those which repeatedly upload unconfirmed claims, for defamation, distribution of illegal information and “obscene acts by using means of communication.”
“We will also take all possible legal actions against any additional damages caused without any leniency. The photos [of Jennie] distributed online were made public illegally, without Jennie’s consent. Sharing those images is an act of secondary victimization and can be subject to legal penalty. Please refrain from indiscriminately sharing those images. YG Entertainment will continue to work to protect our artists' rights and interests.”

Jay Garche Gives Heart-Rending Stripped Back Version Of Hit Love Song 'Mahal Na Mahal'
Jay Garche releases his own version of “Mahal Na Mahal”, the hit love song that made lots of hearts melt with its profoundly romantic lyrics. (WATCH OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO HERE)
The song, which was originally popularized by Archie D in 1991 revived its pop stardom when Sam Concepcion did his lovable rendition back in 2013 as part of his Infinite album under Universal Records. This 2022, you will surely love to hear Jay Garche’s own take of this song which features a simple yet compelling stripped-back piano arrangement. It injects such a bittersweet flavor to the already known love song.
The Voice Teens Season 2 runner-up turned UR artist already finished recording the song in August and believes that it’s perfect to release the song right away. He’s also set to unveil an official music video for “Mahal Na Mahal” later this year. It follows the release of his debut original single “Hayaan Lang” last June.

Unrequited Love

The tension could have been real. However, things moved slowly and the feelings might have dissipated. Talented Female (TF) shot into fame because of her talents in several aspects that could make one a household name. Having a popular former lover added to her recognition as well. Alas, that relationship did not last, but TF persevered with her career and moved on.
When Eligible Lad (EL) met TF, they realized they had many things in common. Both were well-educated, articulate, and service-oriented. TF was smitten with EL, and signs were there that he might be interested in her, too. However, as time passed, their directions were moving away from each other.
EL and TF found themselves targets in the eyes of observers. Thus, any moment they were seen together in public resulted in a social media explosion. The attention was overwhelming. Consequently, while many were in favor with them as each other’s forever, such notion remained fleeting. At least, on EL’s part.
EL chose his path and as a man of honor, geared his life towards his promise. Pursuing love became secondary. This decision thus placed TF in the non-priority list. However, TF remained visible, making some observers start to label her as trying hard to win EL’s attention and affection. Apparently, TF made sure her endeavors were aligned with EL’s plans.
The question now is if TF will succeed in winning over EL. But then, his focus is too firm to be distracted by anything that is not part of his plan. Will love win over ambition later?
