Goodbye Expectations

Attractive Actress (AA) managed to fit the criteria and after receiving breaks, she can look back and say that she has a successful career. Like previously mentioned, AA entered the business to help her family. Although AA has managed to keep her family away from the public eye, helping them was her priority when she was starting out. Consequently, her family fully depended on her.
After sometime, AA realized that enough is enough. Given that competition is hard these days and projects are scarce, AA might not be as financially viable these days. Besides, her partner, who belongs to a well-off family, is not giving her money, as they are not yet married. Feeling the pinch, AA had to be smart with her money and thus, she no longer sent money to her family as often as before.
One day, a relative called AA and asked if she could send financial help. AA freaked out and told the relative that they should start working and stop relying on her for their survival. As AA was no longer sending support, the family had to dispose of early investments, such as land and apartments. This time, they had nothing more to sell and AA was contacted. The conversation was not pleasant, and from then on, no one from her family bothered to call her again.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and racecar driver Marlon Stockinger have broken up and "will never get back together," sources close to the couple exclusively told Philstar.com.
The sources, who requested to stay private, claimed that Pia finally lost her patience with Marlon. The actress' private messages to the sources revealed that she was allegedly so upset with Marlon that she avowed to "never" return to his arms again.
"The only reason why their relationship lasted this long is because Pia is always busy and out of the country," the sources told Philstar.com.
"If she was not busy, she would have wanted to get rid of that guy a long time ago."
The sources, however, did not confirm or deny rumors that Pia supported Marlon financially and his family since the latter allegedly does not earn anything from being a racecar driver.
The sources said Pia and Marlon had been allegedly fighting a lot. They claimed that whenever the couple would see each other after Pia had been abroad for quite some time, the two would allegedly spend their little time together fighting.
Pia and Marlon are yet to confirm these claims.
The two had been in an on-and-off relationship for almost three years.
Pia shared in a 2017 makeup tutorial video by Filipino-American beauty vlogger PatrickStarrr how she met Marlon.
“I feel like I find everyone on Instagram. I found my boyfriend on Instagram," she said, recalling that after winning Miss Universe, she began following Marlon on the social media platform.
After liking some of Marlon's pictures, the Filipino-Swiss model began noticing the beauty titlist.
She had a big crush on the racecar driver even before she won. “At that time, I kept on losing Miss Philippines, and I’m thinking, ‘He’s never gonna notice me'," she told PatrickStarrr .
During the Philippines' hosting of Miss Universe 2016 in January to February that year, rumors that Pia and Marlon were dating began to circulate as they were spotted in photo shoots and red carpet events together.
Marlon then admitted that they were an item when he told reporters at the 2016 Star Magic Ball red carpet: “The truth? Let’s put it this way, if Pia was here tonight she’d be my date here, so yeah, obviously we see each other but we just want to keep it down low pretty much but yeah, I’ve been seeing Pia.”
After that, the two have been posting more and more photos of them together, even cuddling in the beach to show their amazing bodies and abs.
But rumors that the two were headed to Splitsville began in March 2017, when Pia was asked by reporters to react on the news that Marlon has twins with a former model.
“Huh? I don’t know anything about it,” she said.
Last July 2018, the couple was rumored to have called it quits again when the two unfollowed each other on Instagram because Marlon allegedly got jealous of Pia's meeting with Choi Siwon of Korean pop group Super Junior. But days after, they followed each other again and many dismissed what happened as a normal misunderstanding between lovers.
Early this year, sources confirmed to The STAR's Ricky Lo that the two have broken up, only to be dismissed by the couple by posting a new photo together days after.
Will they do the same after this story has been published? Let's wait and see.

Being a Great Pal

Sometime ago, Network Actor (NA) was overheard to say that a Female Celebrity (FC) with whom he had a relationship was hard to deal with. Although he tried to work for the success of their relationship, FC was too immature to take things as they were. Even if they spent years as a couple, they ended their relationship and within weeks, he was already replaced.
Thus, FC seems to have a history of being difficult. Being an artist would always be a safe excuse, as artists are supposed to be emotional and passionate. However, FC’s people skills, especially toward ones who have crossed the line, can be horrible. In other words, FC can be a toxic friend at her worst. By contrast, she can be the most lovable at her best.
Despite having her nice side, when her toxic side takes over, she can be manipulative and not give room for her lover. Thus, former lovers would complain about how she can be too clingy to the point of suffocating them. Even her female friends have noticed that FC can be toxic. Lucky for FC, one of inner circle friends, Versatile Talent (VT) has understood her moods. So as not to be irritated at the negativity of FC, VT allegedly has devised her way of staying away from FC. VT keeps herself busy. Even if VT is between projects, she makes sure she is doing something productive, which can be a legitimate excuse not to be with FC during her moments of negativity. FC cannot fault VT for not being around, as she has her responsibilities beyond showbiz commitments.
With VT busy with her own activities, FC struck a friendship anew with Popular Personality (PP). As they move in the same field, FC and PP found many things in common and thus, formed the foundation of their friendship. Similarly, FC and PP have had their hearts broken many times and misery was also something they shared. Thus, kibitzers are saying that the cliché, ‘Misery loves company,’ is true.

A day after President Rodrigo Duterte's fresh tirades against ABS-CBN Corporation, the House of Representatives will continue to sit on the bills seeking to renew the franchise given to the media network.
On Wednesday, December 4, House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, a Duterte ally, said lawmakers have "more than enough time" to tackle the measure in January and February next year. ABS-CBN's legislative franchise, however, expires by March 30, 2020.
"I reiterate that Congress would be fair. We'll always have a fair hearing. Alam naman 'to din ng management ng ABS-CBN na inuna namin 'yung budget at saka mga revenue bills (ABS-CBN's management knows we prioritized the budget and the revenue bills)," Cayetano said in an ambush interview.
"Pero we have more than enough time, more than enough time to tackle it in January, February, dahil March pa naman 'yung expiration ng franchise (But we have more than enough time to tackle it in January, February because the expiration of the franchise is still in March)," added the Taguig City-Pateros congressman.
House committee on legislative franchises chairperson Franz Alvarez told CNN Philippines that his panel has no committee hearings scheduled anymore until December 20, when the 18th Congress adjourns session for the holidays.
"Wala nang hearing for the year (There are no more hearings for the year)," the Palawan 1st District congressman said in a quick phone interview.
This means there will be no committee deliberations this month for at least 5 bills in the House seeking to renew ABS-CBN's legislative franchise for another 25 years.
This goes against Cayetano's earlier pronouncement that the House would begin tackling the bills by end-2019.
On Tuesday night, December 3, Duterte once again vowed to block the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN, which he previously accused of "swindling" him for supposedly not airing his paid political advertisements during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Cayetano, Duterte's running mate in 2016, earlier said he has a "personal complaint" against ABS-CBN, citing the alleged unfair airtime given by the network to vice presidential candidates.
Still, the Speaker assured ABS-CBN of "fair" deliberations in the House and said Duterte "respects" the legislative process.
"As you know, he's the President at mayroon siyang stand sa mga issues so nirerespeto natin 'yan. Having said that, nirerespeto rin ng ating Pangulo 'yung proseso so hintayin na lang natin 'yung proseso na 'yun. But even the President admits that there has to be a fair process," Cayetano said.

In a separate press conference, House Minority Leader Bienvenido Abante Jr said lawmakers have not yet received any marching orders from Cayetano regarding how to proceed with the bill.
But he believes that if members of the House majority decide to take their cue from Duterte, ABS-CBN's franchise would not be renewed.
"Sa minority po (In the minority), we are free to decide whether we grant the franchise or not. Of course, hindi ko masasabi sa majority congressmen (I can't say the same for the majority congressmen). They might perhaps toe the line with President," said Abante.
"So kung halimbawa i-to-toe po ng maraming congressman [ang gusto ng Pangulo], of course it's almost next to impossible to actually renew the franchise (So if for example many congressmen would toe the line and follow the President, of course it's almost next to impossible to actually renew the franchise)," added the Manila 6th District congressman.
ABS-CBN's current franchise, which was approved through Republic Act No. 7966 on March 30, 1995, is set to expire on March 30, 2020. If the bill renewing the franchise does not get signed into law, ABS-CBN would have to close down its radio and television operations. – Rappler.com
