A Cold Lie

When Vain Celebrity (VC) found out that an Actress Friend (AF) was going overseas, he immediately asked her to buy him beauty products. As AF was nicely asked by VC, she saw no reason why she should not accommodate his request. Thus, she agreed without even knowing what VC wanted. When AF saw the long list of items VC gave her, she asked what he will do with so many face masks, lotions, moisturizers, etc.… AF said that VC has more requests than what she planned to buy for her personal needs. VC said that he will surprise His Girlfriend (HG). VC added that HG will love those imported products.
As AF is close to HG, she thought VC was very kind to consider HG. However, AF knew that HG was into specific brands and is under the care of a renowned skin clinic. Nonetheless, she obliged and during her trip, she sacrificed her personal shopping time just to find the brands VC wanted.
After her trip, AF dropped off the box at VC’s and was happy to have done a good deed for HG. Weeks later, AF and HG met. AF asked HG how she found the beauty products VC asked on her behalf. HG was clueless, as VC never gave her any item from AF. Then, she repeated what AF already knew, that is, she was not fond of such overseas products and she has a doctor to take care of her skin. AF was shocked and posed the question on what VC was going to do with so many products. AF said that the only reason she agreed to go out of her itinerary to find those products was VC’s insistence that the items were for HG. HG said that VC might have thought of reselling the said products.
When HG visited VC and went over to his room, she found out the answer to the question of AF. The products VC asked for AF to buy were neatly arranged in his room. She also noticed that he was wearing a face mask, which he did not bother to remove even when she was there with him. HG remained quiet and did no bring up the matter that he used her name to make AF agree to buy the items. HG did not want an awkward situation.
The next day, HG visited VC on the set of a project he was working on. The production was on break and HG proceeded to the accommodation of VC. She was not surprised at what she saw. VC was once again wearing a face mask and putting layers of cream on his skin. HG reminded him to just do his beauty regimen at home, as his practice might raise questions on his gender. VC gave a cold response and said that he does not care and people can think what they want to think about him. HG did not take his indifference to her advice kindly and she walked away, leaving VC to his vanity.

A Lot of Babble

During small talk with her groupies, Female Celebrity (FC) gave her views on a controversy and said that the series of events enveloping Another Talent (AT) was karma into play. AT deserves what she reaps and FC started to explain.
According to FC, when she and Male Celebrity 1 (MC1) were starting out in their careers, they were also establishing a bond. Eventually, they started to develop feelings for each other. The management saw their chemistry, but as they were newbies, they had to wait for their breaks even if fan clubs for their partnership have been formed.
As soon as AT learned that MC1 had a crush on her, talks were made to persuade the management to give the two of them a chance to work with each other. FC was then left out, as she did not have as much clout as AT then. After one project to the next, AT and MC1 became successful and even if AT knew about MC1 and FC being the original team, she formalized the relationship with MC1. Fans got into social media arguments, but everything was forgotten, as the only choice was to move on.
Lingering in the midst was Male Celebrity 2 (MC2), who found his way to FC. They hit it off and became a reel couple. Officially, they became an item, too. Then, MC2 was taken as a third wheel to AT and MC1. While FC was working on her own projects, she found out that AT allegedly took a liking for MC2. Word reached her that MC2 was unfaithful to her; after all, he is much experienced unlike MC1. So, when FC was told that the trysts happened more than once, a silent war once again transpired between her and AT. MC2 begged to be forgiven and FC softened up.
FC added that AT seems to like making a mess and once the mess is discovered, she likes playing the ‘victim’ and lets the management do damage control. Thus, FC thinks that AT deserves what is happening to her life.

Julia Barretto on Thursday clarified her ties with her “Between Maybes” co-star Gerald Anderson, a month after the actor’s former girlfriend, Bea Alonzo, hinted at infidelity in her relationship while appearing to agree with Instagram posts alleging an affair between her fellow Star Magic artists.
Following Alonzo’s cryptic post, she then revealed in an interview that Anderson, her boyfriend of three years, did not accord her a formal breakup and “just started not talking to me.”
Anderson, in his own interview two weeks after Alonzo’s “enough” statement, said that the end of the relationship was caused by a series of fights and disagreements, and cleared Barretto as a factor in the separation, contrary to rumors.
Barretto has also denied being involved in the breakup, saying Anderson and Alonzo’s “issues are entirely their own.” She then accused Alonzo of inciting “bullying” against her by purposely liking Instagram posts accusing her of having an affair with Anderson.
On Thursday, Barretto said she is “in the process of healing and moving forward from everything that happened in the past month, because hindi biro ‘yung pinagdaanan naming lahat.”
“Hindi biro ‘yung pinagdaanan ko, ng pamilya ko, ng pamilya naming lahat,” she told ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe.
Barretto was speaking on the sidelines of a volleyball training ahead of the August 25 All-Star Games, where she will lead a team against Kim Chiu in the women’s volleyball category.
‘WALA AKONG INAHAS’
When asked directly about the real score between her and Anderson, Barretto said: “Tapusin na lang natin ‘to. Let’s clear this whole issue, so we can put this whole issue to rest.
“Hindi ko siya naging boyfriend and hindi ko siya boyfriend ngayon. Therefore, wala akong inagawan ng boyfriend, wala akong inahas, at wala din akong nilandi.”
Amid the controversy, Anderson was also rumored to be courting Barretto, but the actress denied this.
“Hindi ako nililigawan. Naniniwala ako na may tamang panahon at oras para sa mga bagay na ganiyan. Pero nanatili siyang matalik kong kaibigan ngayon,” she said.
Barretto also reiterated that Anderson was never a reason behind her own breakup with Joshua Garcia, her former real-life and onscreen partner. She pointed out that she and Garcia made an earlier denial about the same rumor in June, a month before the issue involving Alonzo erupted.
“It’s always been our own issues,” she said, referring to Garcia. “We’re also very young, so we’re still trying to figure out ourselves, our direction in life, what we really want.”
“I think the decision that we made was a mutual decision because we knew ‘yung makakabuti sa isa’t-isa. At the end of the day, pinili namin ang makakabuti sa isa’t-isa. Ayaw na naming i-damage ang isa’t isa, so we protected each other, because there is love,” she said.
‘EVERYONE IS HURTING’
Asked where she stands now and intends to go after this tumultuous chapter, Barretto answered: “Like I said, hindi biro ‘yung pinagdadaanan naming lahat. Ayokong i-angkin ‘yung mga nangyayari. Lahat kami, nasasaktan.
“We all have our own story. We’re all dealing with our own pain. Ang pinaka masakit pa doon, nadamay ang mga pamilya namin. I’m in the process of moving forward, healing.”
Barretto added that “this is not the right time anymore to point fingers.”
Referring to Alonzo and Anderson, she went on: “She’s hurting, he’s hurting, but so am I. I’m really in so much pain right now. But kailangan magpakatatag, e. We have to get back on our feet, and move forward, and heal from this.”
“Wala kaming choice. We just have to respect each other’s pain. Everyone is hurting. Hindi madali ‘yung pinagdadaanan naming tatlo,” she said.

Knocked Down

Sometimes, people cannot believe how celebrities who are vocal in public about certain beliefs can act the opposite when no one seems to be watching. While celebrities know that their behaviour in events, especially the public ones, are watched, some seem to forget how to behave properly.
A couple of netizens were running late for an event. However, they felt confident that they will not lose their seats, as they have procured legit special tickets. Tickets, these days, are pricey and sometimes, paying is the easiest part compared to being first in line to ensure one does not run out tickets.
As the netizens were making their way to their seats, they were surprised that Assuming Celebrity (AC) was already comfortably seated in their area. Naturally, the netizens asked AC if they could have their seats. To their shock, AC refused to budge and said that since she and her friends came early, they have the privilege to take those places. The netizens, however, did not buy the haughty attitude of AC and insisted that they were right.
Unfortunately, the discussion on the seats became irritating when AC had the gall to ask for their tickets to check if the netizens were telling the truth. To end the fiasco, someone called the security. When the security personnel came over, they sided with the netizens. AC and her posses had to leave in embarrassment. Their seats were at the back of the area. The netizens did feel that AC tried to take advantage of her celebrity status and relations with a famous celebrity.
