Cannot Get Away with Actions

Given the success of using social media to increase fame and fan base, many celebrities have opted to open their own channels and sites. Merchants have recognized the endorsement reach of celebrity sites and thus have tapped many celebrities to feature their products. The situation works for both parties, as the celebrity can earn with a few words and visual representation and the merchant is assured of a wide reach.
However, these days, networks have noticed that certain celebrities are no longer mindful of ethics between working for a network and for oneself. Although Unmindful Celebrity (UC) might have many followers and wide popularity, her network has decided to clamp down on her operations.
UC is online savvy and has mastered how to make the Internet work for her. Her work has resulted in many followers and high popularity. Her followers love her posts, regardless of being photos or videos. Her online presence makes them entertained. One day, UC received a warning from the network, as her frequent posts have preempted their shows. Moreover, her feeds were done during work time, which means that while she is being paid for network work, she’s busy making posts for her sites, which generate income as well. When higher management received word from the production head about UC’s antics, a summons was issued.
When UC showed up to meet the higher bosses, she was cordial and jovial. She initially humored her way to the bosses in an attempt to charm them. First, she claimed that she was actually promoting the shows. Second, she said her clout can result in more viewers for the network. Unfortunately, her excuses did not budge the executives, as they told her that the network does not need her clout. Rather, she’s the one using the clout of being part of the network. Hence, she was given a memo. If UC will not be around in her shows, then the memo might have included certain sanctions that limited her presence.

Vague Confusing Statements

Perhaps to fast-track the careers of YP1 and YP2, the management decided to pair them together. At this time, the followers of YP2 were not even half of the followers of YP1. However, the network had a potential set of talents waiting in YP1 and YP2.
As having a social media channel is important, YP1 and YP2 would post their performances to delight their fans. When they did a cover, the followers increased. A performance of the two was uploaded in YP2’s social media account. The camp of YP2 promised the camp of YP1 that they would post the next performance in YP1. Months passed and the promise was not being fulfilled. Follow ups were done, but to no avail.
Then, YP2 made a cover in time for a famous movie. The camp of YP1 hoped that the said cover would be uploaded in their channel. Thus, they asked the other camp if they could post it. The shock came when YP2’s camp asked for a hefty fee, which was preposterous. YP1 performed without thinking of compensation from YP2 and yet, they were treated shabbily when they were merely asking for a promise to be fulfilled.
These days, the two are still performing but with caution, YP1’s camp feel that YP2’s camp merely used their fame to gain a broader base of fans. Incidentally, since YP2 started to perform with YP1, his followers increased.
