Couldn’t Care Less

When people are determined to enter showbusiness, they often land in the hands of handlers who will do everything to make sure they find their niche among the famous. As visibility is key, appearing in any opportunity to showcase one’s talents is often grabbed. At the point, future reactions and consequences are not often talked about.
The wannabees who catch the attention of major players in the industry are lucky. Any wannabee who gets to be managed by a network or a reputable celebrity manager is assured of a project or two and the chance to become a household name. Not everyone is a good investment, as others learn the hard way that one project is not enough to sustain a career. In other words, a celebrity is really only as good as his/her last project, especially now that competition is tougher.
Attitude plays an important role if a wannabee wants to make it big. Unfortunately, many have succumbed to arrogance and rudeness only after one major hit, thinking that their quick fame is enough. When Female Talent (FT) became part of a project, the initial reaction was non-recognition. FT is not homegrown nor is a familiar name and face on screen. Nonetheless, FT was still included.
With good marketing and storytelling, the project became a hit and FT became famous. Fame was just within her reach. After, a few months, fans noticed the attitude change in FT. In one instance, she dismissed any deep bond with a Co-Actress (CA) with whom she has worked with for several months. This response was surprising as many talents would admit to developing great bonds with co-stars. As far as CA is concerned, FT sees nothing beyond being co-workers. Incidentally, CA might actually be grateful that no deep friendship evolved between her and FT. Allegedly, she does not want to have any association with someone who has a dubious past.

When Versatile Actor (VA) and Female Celebrity (FC) got together, people were happy for them, as they seem to complement each other’s talents and looks. VA and FC were a good-looking couple and together, they would make heads turn. Although they kept a low profile, they were seen in important occasions, especially the ones that needed the public presence of VA.
Their relationship seemed to be a typical relationship until eyebrows were raised when their alleged pasts were subject of rumors. Allegedly, the two shared a secret in terms of their preferences, which was not an open subject that could just be freely talked about. The environment of the local entertainment industry and the public can be harsh when it comes to talks about sexuality. Moreover, VA has kept an acceptable image and talks about his alleged secrets can tarnish his reputation.
Although they seemed to be a perfect match, reality exposed the truth and soon, they outgrew their relationship and moved on to other matters. After the end of their relationship, other alleged secrets started to move around the grapevine. Mostly, the main one involved the value of their relationship to VA. The relationship happened to help boost the popularity of VA, as having a relationship is a topic that gains publicity.
The more interesting one, however, was how they were when they were together. Their relationship worked for a time because they recognized that they could swing with other partners, which was dangerous to the image of VA if the public got wind of such. Lucky for VA, no one exposed such arrangement then. When they were with each other, not only did they enjoy each other’s company then, but they also invited others to get into a threesome to spice up their encounters.
The past is past. As to VA and FC having a reconciliation in the future, the idea seems far-fetched. Many things have transpired since then and the two seems happier away from each other.
