Projecting a Mirage

Fans were shocked and disappointed at the way Harsh Celebrity (HC) reacted to their request for a selfie. HC was rude and unaccommodating even if the fans approached her politely. The alleged incident happened in a public place, where the fans thought it was okay to make the request. Sadly, HC was very different from what they had expected.
As the fans were walking in the mall, they chanced upon HC, who stood out because of her looks. HC could be lined up along with the best-looking actresses in the industry and she would not disappoint. Thus, she was really noticeable and radiant. The fans then bravely approached HC, who was looking over at some stuff. In other words, she was her usual self.
When the fans asked if they could have a photo with her, HC snapped at them. Then, HC said that they were in a mall and she needed privacy. The fans were embarrassed, but nonetheless, relieved, as they finally know for themselves that rumors about HC’s personality are true indeed.
These days, HC seems to be having difficulty in finding the right material for the audience to patronize her projects. While she has tried various avenues to connect with the masses, such as having several social media accounts that make her visible in the Internet, most of her efforts still cannot elevate her from negative perception. With such incident with fans, HC might be giving the impression that everything that is visible about her is just a mirage. The true test of a celebrity is his/her reaction in unguarded moments or when no cameras are around.

A Lost Opportunity

Actions often result in rewards or consequences. Often, when one thinks before acting, he/she will reap the prize for well-thought out behavior. By contrast, one who acts impulsively might face consequences later on even if he/she might have gotten away from such misdeed at the moment of action.
Just as when things were going well for Young Talent (YT), a past mischief catches up with her. At first, YT denied that she was involved in the incident when asked about it by her superiors. However, the resemblance was undeniable and YT admitted to the action after deeper interrogation. YT claimed that it was done during the time when she was still exploring things. Her disposition did not remain unnoticed, as the higher-ups seemed to notice something was not right in her at that time. YT apologized but, as always, such was too late.
The next day, advertisers started calling up her management asking for an explanation. YT is no longer a struggling talent, as she has various projects, endorsements for products and societal concerns, etc. The management thought it was time for her big break. Then, everything went blank, as some advertisers threatened to pull out, demanded refunds, and even hinted at filing a breach of contract. As a consequence, most projects of YT are on hold until the aftermath subsides. Although talks about the incident may die down, such silence will not erase that such a thing with YT exists.
