Painful Escapade

Wanting to recharge before working on his projects, Network Celebrity (NC) went out of town with a Trusted Pal (TP) and his Personal Assistant (PA). NC felt he needed to excuse himself from his acting and singing commitments for a few weeks to be able to relax and reflect on where he wants to go with his career. As NC knows, the staying power is to discover ways of keeping fans interested without what they liked in him to change.
Prior to the get-away, TP has always held NC in high admiration. To deepen their relationship, she would initiate trips so that NC can take a breather and that meant, they would have sometime together. Unfortunately, NC is not interested in TP more than her being a colleague. Even if NC were having issues with an aspect of his professional life, which has made TP happy, the actor still would prioritize his career. Rumors have it that TP was the one telling things about a female talent that made NC lose interest.
As NC, TP, and PA were at a hotel during the escapade, NC said that he would like to take a walk and explore the place a bit. He needed something from the convenience store. TP and PA did not go with him, as they sensed he wanted to be alone. Three hours passed and NC had not returned. The two were worried and they started to look for him in the nearby store, but he was not around. Thus, they went back to the hotel.
While at the hotel, the two looked out of the window and were surprised at seeing NC step out of the bar across their hotel. NC’s hair was a bit untidy and he looked a bit worn down. The two asked what happened and NC said he just drank wine and needed time to unwind. Then, he left and went straight to bed. Out of curiosity, PA noticed that patrons coming out of the bar were in drag. Early morning, PA verified from the hotel personnel was kind of bar NC spent hours in.
When TP and PA saw that NC was still in bed and not ready for the day’s activity, they asked if he were feeling anything. He said that he could not stand up and complained of lower back pain. PA kept quiet but TP pressed on and asked NC what he did, as he could not even walk straight toward their hotel. Out of irritation, NC told TP to shut up.
The next day, NC moved like nothing happened the day before and the three of them continued their trip. PA kept quiet, as he found out that the bar in front of their hotel was a famous gay bar in the area. That did not matter to TP, as her hidden desire for NC is deep and unconditional.

The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) has approved the amicable settlement for the P152 million in tax debts of television network ABS-CBN with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
The two parties sued for the out-of-court settlement of the case to avoid long and expensive court litigation.
The assessed liabilities covered 40 percent of the basic deficiency income, value-added and documentary stamp taxes
It also included 100 percent of the basic expanded withholding tax and withholding tax on compensation.
In approving the amicable settlement. CTA stated that both the Civil Code and the Revised Rules of Court instruct the courts to persuade litigants to enter into a compromise.
The agreement was signed by BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay and the network’s chief finance officer Aldrin Cerrado.
