Sometime ago, the rift between Movie Actress 1 (MA1) and Movie Actress 2 (MA2) worsened when they did a couple of short-term projects together. The projects, which were considered achievements at that time, brought together on one screen the most beautiful faces of the entertainment industry. Although MA1 and MA2 can be considered contemporaries, both traversed different paths to gain fame, but did enter showbiz for similar reasons.
Likewise, their past love lives were as colorful as their careers. MA1 got involved in a long-term relationship, whereas MA2 had high profile relationships with male celebrities until she found the right one. After spending many years in the industry, the two eventually settled down, but the rivalry seem to have lingered even outside showbiz, as the two managed to enter the society circles. During that moment, they both stayed away from the limelight and opted to raise their families quietly.
However, when MA1 and MA2 did their projects, controversy was raised when blind items spoke about how someone behaved and flaunted what she had. According to a story, MA1 told the staff to remove the things in the tent assigned to her, as the items she needed for the project needed space. MA2 was infuriated, but later calmed down as MA1 said she did not know the things brought out were hers. MA1 added that the things were unbranded and looked like the stuff of the crew. The atmosphere lightened up as MA1 and MA2 started kidding around. Then, MA1 said that MA2 owned non-designer things because she’s not rich. MA2 fired back when she spoke of a painful truth about MA1. That statement created awkward silence among the people who were around. Subsequently, MA1 and MA2 would rather avoid each other even if they are in the same events.
Years later, MA2 threw a party and everyone important attended except for a couple who had prior engagements. Fans noticed that MA1 was missing. According to the grapevine, MA2 did not really invite MA1, as she did not want the party to be tainted with controversy. Besides, she could not take the way MA1 had been projecting herself in social media, which she thinks is cheap behavior. The other guests could only smile back. As always, the one absent will always be talked about. At the end of the party, knowing that their photos might be uploaded, they agreed to just say that attempts were made to invite MA1 but she could not be contacted.

Repost: Miss Universe Organization Releases Official Statement Confirming Partnership with the Araneta Group

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) finally put an end to speculations that the Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) franchise has been awarded to the group of Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis Chavit Singson.
In an official statement released to the Manila Bulletin, the MUO said that it will continue working with the Araneta Group on Binibining Pilipinas.
The MUO praised the leadership of Jorge Araneta, CEO, chairman and president of the Araneta Group; and his wife Stella Marquez Araneta, chair, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), for the success of their national pageant for many years now.
The MUO also admitted that the group of Singson is supporting the efforts of MUO and the BPCI “in seeking to modernize and grow the brand into more than a one day special and LCS (Luis Chavit Singson) has agreed to support us in our efforts to do so.”
“In our continuing efforts to build and evolve the Miss Universe brand in the Philippines, the Miss Universe Organization has explored many options and opportunities to enhance Binibining and grow it into a dynamic, multi-faceted platform. While exploring these opportunities, we sought the input of all of our partners and will continue to do so.”
Previous reports alleged that the MUO has offered the local franchise to Singson.
The MUO said that before the finals of 2019 Bb. Pilipinas beauty contest in June, Governor Chavit Singson will welcome all of the Binibining contestants in historic Vigan, just as he did with the Miss Universe contestants in 2017.
“We look forward to the collaboration and innovation to bring an exciting future to Miss Universe Philippines and our beloved fans in the country,” the statement added.
The official statement was obtained by the Manila Bulletin after this writer e-mailed the MUO to comment on the issue surrounding the ownership of MUP franchise.

Excitement is in the air as rumors of a Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards movie are in the works. The pairing combines two major stars of Kapamilya and Kapuso, a combination seemingly impossible years ago, as the two have their respective partners, namely, Daniel Padilla and Maine Mendoza.
In a risky move of separating the two from their partners, the project is expected to create anticipation from fans as well as comments from bashers, who refuse to acknowledge new partnerships for their idols. Such rumor comes at a time when talks about trouble in the KathNiel camp refuse to die down. Similarly, hopes for a real-life relationship between Alden and Maine have been dashed with the closeness of the latter with Kapamilya’s Arjo Atayde.
The rumored project will be under Star Cinema and to be directed by box-office director, Cathy Garcia Molina. Molina has said that she will soon be retiring and has set her last five directorial assignments. If the Kathryn and Alden movie is indeed in the offing, then that would be part of Molina’s last few movies before retirement.

Product of Jealousy

Whenever Media Sensation (MS) has a new relationship, followers become excited knowing that their idol is once again experiencing love and moving toward happiness. MS is not selfish in showing off expressions of love. Photos of gifts, love notes, promises, and silhouettes of the love interest lord over social media accounts of MS. Sometimes, MS even posts photos with the love interests and followers are happy for the couple. Then, in a few months, MS turns from bloom to gloom. MS is single again.
What went wrong? This question is always in the mind of followers. Why can’t MS be in a happy, lasting relationship and who do all the lovers seem to move away even if MS has shown devotion.
While blame can be easily pinpointed at the lost lovers, who are mostly non-celebrities, others believe MS might be the one who has a problem. Despite fame and fortune, MS might not have changed from the personality that has been associated early in life.
During the time MS was still a struggling newbie, MS would give everything, time and gifts, to the chosen one. The love of MS is passionate and often, nothing is left for him. He can be clingy. Subsequently, MS expects the same from the lovers who have reached his heart. Thus, people who knew him then think that he has not really changed from demanding that his chosen one be as devoted as him. Jealousy might even be a consideration. These days, such a lover might be hard to come by, given that MS is already an established celebrity and busy with work.
