Everything was going well for Laid-back Celebrity (LC) in her network. Her decision to sign up with the network proved right, as she was treated like royalty. She was given shows that rated well and she had freedom to contribute ideas as well. The programs were well-thought out and offered innovative entertainment.
One day, Versatile Personality (VP) was signed up by the network as well. Although LC and VP had done projects, it took several before LC had her right to be elevated at the same level as VP. She used to play support to VP, but years of hard work and right choices of roles developed LC into a highly respected individual. What happened next was unexpected.
LC started acting up even though her shows were not in competition with the projects of VP. However, the ratings dipped a bit and her co-workers noticed the change in LC. She became easily irritated and displayed diva-like behavior on the set. She would allegedly make the production wait and upon her arrival, instead of starting work asap, she would take time to rest. Of course, delaying the project incurs production cost, and LC was oblivious to the effect her behavior had on her shows. Worse, she started calling out and embarrassing members of the crew for the minor mistakes they make. LC would call them “bobo.”
Someone had enough and reported the behavior to the bosses. The network would not tolerate such treatment of the production. Hence, the decision was for LC to take time off from her projects. The rationale was that the creative team was going to plan for something bigger while LC went on vacation. As her shows folded, the crew did not feel sad, rather, they were relieved as they would no longer have to deal with the erratic behavior of LC.
Apparently, LC feels resentment toward VP and even think of her as the reason for the turnout of her projects. VP, meanwhile, has no idea about the effect she has on LC. For VP, whatever work is assigned to her, she just gives her best and focus on her professionalism. Nonetheless, kibitzers think that karma got LC.
