Conflict between career and personal life can reach the climax whereby parties must decide between two options. On the one hand, the career break is a long-awaited opportunity. On the other hand, the passion given to work has resulted in discomfort for parties involved. The dilemma is real and did not spare a young couple who found themselves in such a situation.
Sometime ago, the network decided to give Sultry Newcomer (SN) the biggest break in her career. As this offer was a major career move, Ardent Actor (AA) supported the new endeavor. SN and AA have undergone many trials that tested their love for each other and thus, were confident that the project would not affect their personal lives.
As SN kept herself busy with work, AA was in between jobs and had all the time to watch SN and her Onscreen Lead (OL) in their project. Watching SN and OL engage in teasing scenes made AA uncomfortable and made him think. While talking to SN, AA expressed his discomfort at her scenes with OL and raised the point of the extent of the unedited scenes. Perhaps, he thought if SN could request the production team to temper the controversial scenes a bit. SN could not say anything much, as the production staff calls the shots and if she complains, she might ruin her make or break opportunity. AA tried to understand SN. However, SN had not been replying to messages coming from him, as she was keeping her distance from jealousy and wrath. Being ignored often heightens one’s suspicions and frustrations and AA fell into the trap.
During a lull moment, AA decided to visit SN. OL was about to leave when AA arrived, and thus, AA did not catch anything that would substantiate his suspicion. Subsequently, AA confronted SN and directly asked if she had a physical thing going with OL, as loud rumors were going around the grapevine already. Her reply was that she has a professional relationship with OL and no fooling around was happening. AA would not buy the explanation and in the process might have nudged SN. Allegedly, SN tried to break free from the grasp of AA as well. Naturally, anyone who had been held hard would have bruises. The heated confrontation ended the relationship.
Then, a close personality was shocked to see that other than bruises, SN also had scratches despite AA having left earlier. The appearance of the bruises could be explained, but the scratches later left doubt as to who or what caused them to appear. Were the scratches self-inflicted? The answer will remain a mystery. SN had chosen her career over AA and allegedly advised to keep quiet. Meanwhile, AA has time to reflect on what had happened to him and his relationship and eventually move on.
