Trying New Leads in Her Career

Every celebrity wakes up to reality that he/she is only as good as his/her last project. Such is the cruelty of the entertainment industry when projects do not deliver as expected. However, the silver lining is that certain prime movers in the industry are experts in turning the tables around. A few months ago, no one would ever think that Popular Celebrity (PC) would land in such predicament.

Luckily for PC, her management team is among the most competent insiders in the business. Thus, even if her previous projects did not reach the performance of her earlier accomplishments, PC is not left out in the cold. Her management team did try to give her the best options to make sure she does not end up in the freezer.

After her last program was not received as much as her earlier starrers, her career path had to be restudied. Another project might be too risky and her management team as well as her network would not dare risk unless their investment would be returned. Hence, her team started pushing for PC to get a highly prized and publicized role. The name of PC seemed plausible, but when the smoke cleared, PC was not the chosen one. Her recent involvement in various incidents that resulted in adding negativity to her image affected her chances.

The network then studied the option for PC to appear in a daily show to make sure she remains visible. That strategy was initially met with doubt because the show seemed to be too crowded already, and her presence might affect the dynamics of the other performers. Then, feelers were sent to the rival network, but the station was unresponsive. The third network was not at all considered because the management team of PC knows that moving her there would be career suicide. The team has been there, so they know.

With no clear lead in her career for the moment, PC had to agree to the plan of the network even though it might feel a bit packed. Given the influx of new talents and new faces, PC has to work double time to retain her position in the entertainment industry. However, new things have to be explored to make her evolve, as a secret to maintaining one’s status is the ability of an artist to adapt to changes. Perhaps, a change of image might be in the offing for PC.

‘Seeing, feeling, thinking, believing - these are the stages of how we change our style on the outside and our self-image on the inside.’ - Stacy London
