She Should Get Rid of Her Funny Smell

One of the challenges in the life of wardrobe assistants is making sure that costumes and clothes of stars in a show are organized. For tapings, wardrobe plays an important role in any movie or teleserye because of continuity. Given that most productions prefer taping per scene and location, not according to sequence or as shown on TV or film, the characters have to wear the same outfit for related scenes. If the wardrobe in-charge is disorganized or unable to keep track of the required outfit, the episodes will not be smooth and viewers will notice changes that are illogical.

To make sure that the clothes will be ready for the next taping day, someone gathers the apparel and prepares them. It is during these times that a personality of a celebrity is revealed. How a celebrity conducts himself/herself behind the scenes usually indicates one’s character. On the one hand, a celebrity might have the same attitude on and off cam. For example, several celebrities have been known to have a Dr. Jekyll–Mr. Hyde personality. They are nice when the camera is on, but rude when no cameras are around. On the other hand, many celebrities are consistent. For example, a celebrity can be funny in front of an audience and keeps this sense of humor during personal circumstances. By contrast, a celebrity can be irritating on and off cam.

A similar generalization could be made on the experiences of utility people on the set of a series. Because the scenes demand for continuity, the outfits of the performers should be prepared and organized. Part of this task is the preparation, which includes retrieving the outfits worn during the previous taping day. As people were tidying up a tent, someone became bothered by the odd smell coming from one of the garments worn that day. Thus, out of curiosity, they traced the owner of the said garment Daring Talent (DT), which raised their eyebrows.

The amiable facial features and personality of DT seems to be a mismatch with her seeming lack of hygiene. Her clothes emitted a smell, which could have been prevented if DT mindfully took her personal cleanliness. A thorough bathing and good deodorant could do the trick. However, the demands of her scenes could very well have caused such odor to stick to her apparel. That is not all, sadly. After taping, her tent would be so disorganized and sometimes, personal hygiene products were not properly disposed. Hence, entering her tent and cleaning up became such a challenge for the behind-the-scenes personnel.
