Sarah Geronimo's manager and Viva Entertainment chairman Vic del Rosario has finally spoken up about rumors that the popular singer-actress is pregnant.

In an interview with entertainment reporters, del Rosario denied that Geronimo has been cancelling some events because she is pregnant.

“Hindi buntis si Sarah! Paano mabubuntis ‘yon, eh, virgin pa ‘yon!” he said, as quoted by entertainment website Push.

“Virgin Mary, ganoon? Immaculate? Hindi, di ba? Paano mabubuntis ang virgin? Maniwala kayo!” he added.

In a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, Geronimo revealed that she currently has health concerns that must be addressed.

“Okay naman [ako ngayon]. Hindi naman po siya malalang sakit. Hindi na lang po ako magbibigay ng details pero inaayos naman po,” she said. “Kailangan lang i-improve 'yong health. Kailangan lang bigyan ng atensyon kung bakit nahihirapan sa ganito, or sa ganyan.”

She added that she also plans to take a short break from showbiz from July to August.

Meanwhile, del Rosario revealed that Geronimo will soon mount another concert, as well as a new show in ABS-CBN, which is currently under review.

"Pinag-aaralan niya ‘yong show na offer ng Channel 2, meron. Bagong reality show. Host siya," he said.

Can’t Stop Seeking Attention

One of the tragedies that could come to the career of an actor is his/her realization that his/her glory days are over. Time has passed and such celebrities are no longer as hot or as interesting during their prime. Years ago, a network launched a group of handsome and beautiful talents who were deemed as the next big stars. Naturally, the network gave all the support it could to this group. They were given their own show, which allowed the viewers to favor one over the other. The audience was able to determine who among the group had the “it” or who should just quit as early as then.

The programming of the network was successful because most of the members of the said group were able to gain fans and command screams during their shows in and out of the station. However, dynamism is key to the success of the network. Thus, the station continued to discover and build up other talents, who were younger and more attractive. The initial batch had to reinvent themselves and move away from their cute images.

Among that batch, most of the male talents recognized the need to tone up their bodies and show off their abs. That daring move started a trend and raised the bar higher for anyone who wanted to stay in the business. A Pioneering Talent (PT) of this batch had no qualms on maintaining his physique and showing off his hard work on his body. Over the years, the career of PT saw its rise and fall. His absence in the limelight even gave rise to speculations on the state of his health. However, he resurfaced and tried to regain fame.

Sadly, today’s generation is no longer aware that PT was once an important talent of his network. Now, PT is considered as “da who?” and would not even be given a second look. However, this perception seems to have evaded PT, who still behaves like he is every person’s dream. Thinking he was still two decades younger, PT would send private messages via various social media accounts to good-looking women asking them out on a date. Confidently, PT thought he was still as attractive as ever.

Well, the reality is that most of the women whom he tries to invite have been turning him down, citing that they do not know him too well to go out with him. While disappointment would come into the picture, PT would respond with an explanation that the purpose of dating is to get to know each other better. Perhaps expecting a favorable response, PT is in for more disappointment given that the block feature is put in motion.

Unlike some of his contemporaries who have settled down or accepted the fact that they are better off single because of their maturity and age, PT is behaving like he was still in his twenties and is still the toast of his town. PT has to start accepting that he is neither and the best option is to face reality that he has to live with the times.
