A Not So Pleasant Incident Abroad

Other than seeing various sites, celebrities go abroad to escape the usual frenzy in the city as well as to experience walking along the streets without being recognized. Privacy is often a main factor as to why local celebrities spend their vacation in other countries. However, owing to their tight schedule, celebrities often choose nearby areas.

Except for a couple of favorite vacation spots abroad, celebrities often choose destinations where they think they will not be recognized and stopped for a photo or two. Unfortunately, Witty Celebrity (WC) chose a nearby area, where the chance of her being recognized is higher compared to other places. Nonetheless, WC moved about like a familiar tourist, proceeded to visit the usual places, dined, and shopped around. Given that she is easily recognizable even without makeup, WC was stopped by some of her fans.

As the fans went up to her, they had the guts to talk to her and request for photos. Naturally, WC gave in and did not feel like being bratty, as they are after all abroad. Usually, a photo session would take a couple of minutes. Most fans are sometimes even apologetic for taking the time of the celebrity. However, in this case, WC noticed that these fans were taking a bit long in posing with her. The fans seemed to be enjoying being with her. Thus, after some time, WC reverted to her feisty nature, and told the fans that they seem to be taking too long already. Worse, she told them that she has every right to stop the taking of photos, and in a second, she said, “I’m done!” Then, WC walked away. The fans were quite shocked and did not know the sudden change in the disposition of WC. However, they could not care less, as they got what they wanted, which was to have photos with WC.

Incidentally, WC has been posting quite a number of intriguing posts in her social media accounts. While some followers have attempted to decipher her intended meaning, most of them appreciated the fact that she was again active in social media. Sometimes, she even posts meaningful quotes that her followers appreciate. For one thing, WC is not known to be among those celebrities who hide behind an imaged. WC was endeared to her fans because of her being natural in her reactions and statements. Some fans like her being human, but others find time to lambast her for being too honest.

Cannot Hide Her True Self

Companies are always on a lookout for the celebrity who can best represent their products. In particular, companies are critical when choosing the person who will endorse their products. Thus, when one is chosen as an image model, that celebrity has surely reached a highlight in his or her career. However, the catch is that the celebrity has to live within a certain standard as long as the contract is enforced. For example, if a celebrity is endorsing brand X, he or she should not be seen with brand Y at any given time. Moreover, if a company espouses values, then the endorser has to be an example.

Association with celebrities is always expected to increase the sales of a product. Consumers get to identify with the endorser, which could explain why they would prefer the endorsed brand to another. When a company chose Feisty Actress (FA) as one of their product models, no one questioned the choice given that FA has a pretty face and exudes a certain level when she projects herself.

For a certain period, FA was the face of a particular product, which had always enjoyed competitive sales among its consumers, who are mostly women. Unfortunately, if stories about FA are to be believed, her image for the product is in stark contrast with her inner being.

During a project with the other endorsers, FA insisted that she should not be with anyone else in the dressing room. Of course, this move created a problem, as everything was already set. Besides, FA, although she might have had some hit projects, is not really that of a big and reliable star. Thus, she was expected to mingle with her fellow artists. FA insisted on her demand and the project was halted for a few minutes.

While FA perhaps thought that everything would be fine despite her prima donna attitude, which seems to be her second skin these days, measures were allegedly taken to make sure FA learns her lesson. Thus, the company dropped her, as simple as that. When pictures of the project emerged, FA was not included at all. However, her fans insisted that the pictures were not final and FA will be included. Months have passed and still, no new photos that included FA were released.
