Believes That She's Entitled

Some celebrities have a mindset that because of their fame and mass appeal, they can do certain actions and be allowed to get away with its consequences. For example, manufacturers and merchants often identify a certain celebrity to be their image model , and once that celebrity agrees to the terms, expect sales of the products to rise.

The criteria to become an endorser range from personality to box office receipts. A celebrity who embodies the values of the product can get a positive response from the manufacturers. In the same way, the popularity of a celebrity can be used to endorse a product either through hard or soft sell methods. Hard selling is seen when the celebrity is seen engaging with the product at hand, whereas soft selling could happen when certain products are seemingly innocently appearing in certain scenes of movies of celebrities.

While the product gets to be associated with a celebrity, the celebrity can receive cash or supplies of the product or other non-monetary benefits. Given this setup, some celebrities, especially the younger ones, think that just because they are famous, they can get anything they want. Take the attitude of this Young Controversial Actress (YC).

YC is known as a bankable talent and she can generate publicity and following for a product. However, not every business can simply allow YC to get what she wants easily. Sometime ago, YC ordered some materials for personalized printing. YC knows that anyone who gets a personalized gift from her will value such gift. Thus, she continued with her plan.

Naturally, a business is established for profit. Thus, the firm from which YC ordered her merchandise sent her the bill, as they were already in deep preparation for the order. In short, the business has already incurred costs in designing the order and scheduling their scheme of work. When YC received the bill, she immediately pulled out her order and said that she was not interested anymore. The poor merchant could not say anything, but abide by the decision of YC. Allegedly, YC only wants freebies and she was not willing to pay anything at all. Perhaps, she thinks that just because she is famous, her feeling of entitlement is justified. Imagine if all celebrities followed her way of thinking.

Shrouding Her to Save Her Career

Events that are beyond one’s control could have dire effects on another, and possible effects should be anticipated. Excellent planners are those who are ready with alternatives in case Plan A is no longer feasible. This line of thinking is applicable is most situations, especially for people who want to make stars out of their discoveries.

Having talented parents and imbibing such talents assure the child of a foot into showbiz. Sometimes, just having a familiar last name and kin relations with famous names are tickets to enter showbiz. However, time will prove if the wannabee has what it takes to establish a career.

Newbie Performer (NP) was immediately built up by a network because she was talented and appealed to her generation. Although NP has talented parents, her generation is not aware of the great talent of her father and mother at the peak of their careers. Thus, one can safely say that NP can stand on her own and not bank on the fame of her parents.

One of the challenges the network gave to NP was a lead role in a soap that had so much expectations. The soap had a good message and a competent cast. While the soap did not duplicate as much audience share as the previous soap that occupied the slot, it still performed well. Slowly, NP was carving a name for herself in acting, and given her background, she had to showcase her singing talent as well.

Everything was going well until rumors about NP started to crop up. Instead of responding to such rumors, her camp kept quiet. The threat to end her soap earlier than expected cropped up as well. The people who have worked hard to establish NP’s career were worried. Specifically, a kin (AK) stepped in and allegedly did what every teener feared, which was the confiscation and regulation of communication gadgets. When an instance turned out for the worst, some started linking NP to such tragedy, and some even blamed her camp for such. Consequently, AK became more worried that NP’s career might be stumped by this continued connecting of her name to the incident.

Silence is often the best option to let rumors and intrigues pass. When a camp stops responding, then there is no air to fan the fire. The fire or the rumor will just die down slowly. This path of silence seems to have been taken by NP and her camp. AK has kept NP away from press people, who might continue to hound her and ask her thoughts on an issue that should not be disturbed anymore. However, the question is how long they can evade the press, when publicity is needed to develop the career of NP.
