His Desperate Thoughts

Male Personality (MP) is bothered by the limitations of his current status in the country. Even if he already has the wealth, he could not have full ownership of local properties. Thus, even if he is living comfortably, this problem has occupied his mind. MP is now contemplating on acting out some desperate measures.

MP believes he needs to get married to a local to be able to acquire 100% ownership of properties. In fact, he has already set his eyes on a Young Drama Actress (YD) of the network where they both work. The problem is that YD has a non-showbiz boyfriend, whom she has kept out of showbiz scrutiny.

The alleged plan of MP is to court YD. If he is successful, he will ask for her hand in marriage after a year. Then, he might file for an annulment. Further, MP believes that his good and religious image will make the court believe him and grant the annulment. Of course, MP did not factor in the possibility of falling in love and discovery of the target woman of his plan. In addition, property acquired within marriage becomes community property. Thus, his future wife, rather, ex-wife will get part of whatever he buys during the marriage.

This unbelievable way of thinking of MP brings to mind the parent of one of his former lovers. The mother thumbed down the relationship between MP and her daughter. Was that a case of mother knowing best? Well, the daughter did not follow the mother’s advice in her last relationship, but then, that’s another story.

Going back, perhaps someone should give him better advice as to the reasons why he should get married and the consequences of an annulment.
