Junked So Early

Reportedly, PC1 was and still is indignant that PC2 was hardly beside PP when he (PP) was seriously ill. What’s worse was when PC1 learned that at that time, PC2 was busy doing gigs and ‘rakets’ while PP was suffering. Reportedly, PC2 only appeared on PP’s side whenever she wanted to take photos to post online and when she sensed that media people would visit for interview.
For PC1, it was the height of PC2’s hypocrisy towards PP and the fans.
Apart from that were reports that PC2 was secretly going out and dating rumored New Boyfriend NB at that time, too. Despite PC2’s denials, her photos with NB posted online proved otherwise. Among others, those were the reasons why the rift between PC1 and PC2, including their respective families grew wide apart. Here’s the bomb: Reportedly, PP was already suspicious that something was going on between PC2 and NB.
And now, as if to fuel the fire even more, reports have reached PC1 that many fans of PP and PC2 had given substantial amounts of cash to PC2 supposedly for PP’s expenses, but which never reached PC1 at all. For PC1 and family, it was the worst kind of disrespect and crassness anyone can show PP at that point.
On the other hand, some insiders revealed that PC2’s actions were borne out of self-preservation. She was allegedly weary of her future being just half of the popular team, that’s why she was already moving heaven and earth much ahead to reverse such fear. But apparently, her bold antics antagonized not only PC1 and family but the public as well.
Heard from the grapevine that PC2 is often spotted going to ‘private places’ with NB very often, making people speculate that the frequency of their private dates is such that it won’t be farfetched if something comes out in nine months, geez! In which case, PC2 would be digging her own misfortune. Uh oh!

Vexatious Personality VP was part of a team that handled one of showbiz’s Big Events BE recently. VP was reportedly very impressed with The Place TP that they used as venue for the shoot prior to BE’s big day. Allegedly, VP could not get over it and was raving about TP even days after the event.
Not long after, VP asked The Owner TO of TP if she can have a complimentary night at TP for her Close Kin CK and friends. In return, VP promised TO that TP will get extra promotion at CK’s ‘popular’ Online Medium OM. TO did not give VP a hard time and readily agreed to the request.
Reportedly, TO generously gave more than what was asked for. They were given free food, with a butler service to boot. It was indeed a service de luxe accommodation given to CK and friends. But there’s a catch. VP’s promised promotion for TP did not happen.
TO felt cheated and very disappointed. What TP got were merely posts at the IG (instagram) accounts of VP and CK - not at OM as promised. When TO asked VP what had happened to their agreement, TO was flabbergasted with VP’s reply. She told him that TP did not meet the OM standards for the feature.
“How on earth will TP not meet the standards when it was VP herself who said she was impressed with the place that she asked for (free) accommodation for CK? I did not ask them to, it was a favor I gave them!” remarked the visibly annoyed TO. Uh oh!
Oh well, this is really nothing new for the VP and CK team. The duo has been known in the industry to be hardcore freeloaders who capitalize on their position to get away with just anything, not only freebies. They won’t be called shameless for nothing.
Perhaps, it is high time that TO and those similarly situated to be properly initiated on the ‘culture’ of the people who run the entertainment industry. Anything that sounds and looks nice should not always be taken at face value.

Letter from a Reader: Toothpick Found on Restaurant Food

Dear Fashion Pulis,
March 29, Sunday, my family and I decided to have our weekly family dinner at Pancake House Restaurant, Glorietta 2 branch.
We ordered Golden Brown Waffle, a couple of menu offerings and as a treat to my niece who loves fried chicken so much, the restaurant's latest Hearty Pan Chicken Set which includes 5 pcs. Classic Pan Chicken, House Salad and Mashed Potato.
While waiting for our mains, we were served the Golden Brown Waffle and House Salad ahead. This was when our nightmare began.
As my brother was eating, he suddenly called our attention after he almost swallowed a piece of toothpick from his salad. Shocked, he called for the supervisor and asked for an explanation why a piece of toothpick was in the salad.
Upon seeing my brother's plate with a toothpick in it, the supervisor did not say anything, she just 'plainly' apologized and asked if we wanted to have the salad replaced with a new one. Replaced? What an insult! How can we still continue and have the appetite to eat knowing that they served toothpick (and possibly other 'matters' too ) in our food? And as if trying to fuel our outrage even more, the supervisor even assured us that the toothpick was "clean and unused!" (How the hell did she know?!)
Isn't it disturbing, what kind of people would say such words "clean" and "unused" to justify something that shouldn't have been there in the first place? Was that the only explanation the staff of Pancake House was capable of saying?
Shocked and paranoid, I realized that what if my niece had ingested some foreign object in her food, too? That could have put her at great risk! Would Pancake House take responsibility? Or justify (again) that at least, the foreign object was "harmless?" We then decided to leave and left our food barely touched.
Food safety is serious matter and of paramount importance. But seeing how the staff lightly handled our complaint felt like they didn't value food safety seriously, putting at risk the safety of their customers. I know other restaurants can be as guilty, but an institution such as Pancake House, we expected some credibility to its image, at the very least.
And so may I warn the public to inspect the food everytime you order especially in this restaurant chain, much more if you have kids with you. We really felt lucky that the toothpick was found by my brother and wasn't ingested by my 4-year old niece.
We tried calling Pancake House corporate lines and by the looks of it, we felt it's getting nowhere.
