Everyday Gretchen
EVERYDAY JEWELRY
Diamond Jewelry tends to have a great reputation for being glamorous, luxurious, and expensive. The average woman tends to only consider such pieces in times of special occasions. Albeit being seen as too dressy and posh for a normal day, diamonds are undeniably classic and forever.
Which is why Karat World, with more than 20 years of excellence and dedication in jewelry making, has brought to life the EVERYDAY GRETCHEN collection, in partnership with no less than the brand’s muse: Miss Gretchen Barretto, who handpicked the designs. Ultimately the aim of this line is to provide diamond jewelry designs that are timeless and appropriate for any occasion.
The unveiling was witnessed by Manila media elites last February 27 at Blackbird, Makati. That afternoon, the actress, socialite and model switched from her glamorous image to reveal the Gretchen that all modern Filipinas can relate to: playful, down-to-earth, and deeply unpretentious; while still maintaining, of course, her elegance and classic sense of style.
“For some time now, I’ve been into really minimal jewelry – simple stuff that, once I’ve put on, I never have to think about again. Each piece just seems to become a part of me.” – Gretchen Barretto
This collection could not have come at a better time, especially since big-jeweled pieces have invaded the fashion world. The rise of blinged out bracelets, necklaces, and rings has made it difficult for women to find simple designs to wear with their everyday outfits.
Karat World, being greatly aware of this dilemma, has made it their mission to deliver designs that aid the unanswered demand for modest and elegant pieces. The EVERYDAY GRETCHEN collection promises easy luxury with stylish designs that won’t break the bank.
Karat World is ushering a new era wherein fine jewelry means beautiful and timeless pieces that will surpass any trend or fad in the world of fashion and jewelry. Truly, it is of no wonder why this established brand is making waves in the industry.

Caught in the Parking Lot Having Sex
Talented Artist TA was the toast of the town during TA's heyday. TA's feat is hard to duplicate, a tough act to follow. Apart from being unquestionably talented and smart, TA is the type that anybody would be proud to bring home to meet his/her parents, or so we thought.
Who would have known, that just like most of us – TA has skeletons in the closet as well. And it’s not just the ordinary kind of thing that TA did a few years back. Unknown to the adoring public, TA got involved in a public scandal.
For the longest time, TA had a crush on a middle aged Colleague in the Industry CI. It appeared that it was a mutual liking they had for each other, but owing to TA's image, TA just could not get involved with CI because of CI's status. Thus, what could have been a first public relationship for TA was halted before it could even begin.
Years after, TA and CI paths crossed at an event organized by some industry friends. Seeing each other for the first time in years - sparks flew, emotions ran high. Eventually, TA and CI decided to meet each other privately.
At a parking lot one night, as TA and CI were reminiscing ‘those days,’ they eventually got overtaken by their emotions - one thing led to another - and before they knew it, they were already humping in the car. They were having the time of their lives, until a loud tap on the car's window abruptly stopped them. TA and CI were shocked to see a police officer arresting them for public scandal! Reportedly, TA was shaking in fear when the officer refused to accept the bribe and decided to bring them to the police station for blotter report.
At the station, the situation worsen when the other police officers recognized who TA was. TA realized that for this scandal to go away, they need to offer a bigger amount. Can you guess what happened? Well, to cut the long story short, the policemen ended up splitting among themselves a seven digit bribe that TA offered without hesitation. It was just too good an offer for the policemen to turn down.
“ I think if you live in a black-and-white world, you’re gonna suffer a lot. “ ~ Bradley Cooper
