Controversial Personality CP is known to be fiery and fearless at all times. Through the years, CP has gained a reputation for being arrogant, someone who would always opt for the top and not just second best. If vanity is also arrogance, then she could be guilty as charged.    

Recently, many are amazed at the beautiful transformation of CP. Many wonder if she has found the fountain of youth with her fierce and fresh allure. Followers of her show seem to anticipate CP’s look of the day, yes she has now become that irresistible. People are curious, why her sudden change?

Talks have it that CP had been bothered by rumors that her Significant Other SO is allegedly smitten by one of His Staff HS in his office. The staff, reportedly a no-nonsense lady is herself a looker. Hence, the jealousy aka insecurity got the better of CP – she just can’t have any rival in SO’s heart ever.

Determined to cut HS to pieces, CP went to see SO allegedly confronted her nemesis. She reportedly gave HS a mouthful, a complete dressing down. Right there and then, CP ordered her to resign – or else, HS would regret everything.  Allegedly, HS got the scare of her life and she tendered her resignation asap as told. So ordered!  

For the first time in his life, SO got to have a first-hand taste of CP’s madness. That is assuming that he will stay where he is right now. If he decides to be more ambitious, how much worse can it get?

28th PMPC Star Awards for TV List of Winners

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) and and Airtime Marketing, Inc. officially announced the full list of winners and awardees for the 28th Star Awards for TV held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Ballroom of Solaire Resort Hotel in Paranaque City.

ABS-CBN Channel 2 was named Best TV Station this year by PMPC. This is the sixth consecutive years the Kapamilya Network received the said top award.

ABS-CBN also bagged the major awards such as Best Primetime TV Series for 'Ikaw Lamang', Best Daytime Drama Series for 'Be Careful With My Heart', Best Actor for Coco Martin and Best Actress for Kim Chiu.

The 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television headed by Ms. Tessie Celestino-Howard is set for telecast on November 30 at ABS-CBN's Sunday's Best (10:45 PM).

Intelligent or Disastrous Choice?

The exodus of the artists of a transitioning network (TN) is continuing. After Singer Actress (SA) and Wannabee-Singer Actress (WS) left, the next personality to move is Statuesque Host (SH) Actress. Allegedly, SH is signing up with the rival network (RN), where she once did a movie for its film outfit.

While initially reluctant, SH comes from an interesting parental lineage. Both her parents are successful in diverse fields, and thus, growing up, SH was no stranger to the limelight, and worse, comparisons with her mother. Coming from a showbusiness-oriented family, it was just a matter of time when SH was going to be in front of the cameras. True enough, TN gave her the break by giving her acting projects and hosting gigs. She even had a show with her closest friend (CF), who has proven to be more talented.

However, TN seems to have relegated SH to the corner, as it has been a while since she was seen acting or hosting in a TN-produced show. Lucky for her, she was given a daily hosting gig by a very successful producer, and her appearance in the daytime show (DS) was met with both criticism and praise. During her first few weeks with DS, she was criticized for her lackluster hosting, but she could not be totally blamed as she had to break into the camaraderie of the hosts of DS, and spontaneity was not her best asset then.

The good thing about SH is that she participated in the antics of the show, and shed off her classy image. Behind the cameras, she even gave academic lessons to one of the young hosts. The audience that loved DS loved her, too, and soon, it no longer mattered that she came from upper society, as she was part of the family of DS. However, SH decided to sign up with RN, and that meant giving up DS.

Every time a talent moves to RN or TN, someone will lose a project to the new transferee. While SA and WS are merely coming back to where they started their careers, SH will be a new face in RN. The question is if she will make an appearance in the program that is attempting to compete with DS, and if she does that action, a backlash might follow. Only time can tell if the decision of SH was a wise career move or not.

The other question is who will follow SH to RN. At the way the movement of talents is happening, TN is becoming a training ground for the future talents of RN. In a few months, will the new investors of TN do wonders to make talents stay on?

Eroding the Family's Status

In showbiz, some actors are considered royalty as they belong to at least three generations of involvement in the business. Familiar last names often evoke the kindness of the original patriarch/matriarch. Sometimes, the children turn out to be better actors than their parents or their grandparents, but again, it is the character of the elder generation that is remembered. Nowadays, the youngest of these royal clans are not as careful in protecting the name that their grandparents, parents, uncles, and aunts have built through the decades. Sadly, for some of these new ones, they believe that the name is a privilege.

While this clan member (CM) has yet to formally enter showbiz, her name has been dragged into minor controversies mainly because of her lineage. Being part of the family that is known for their serious acting and sometimes, performing, CM is familiar because she carries the last name of the clan. One time, CM went to a bazaar and started looking at items. Then, she stopped at one booth and pointed at swimwear. 

Thinking aloud enough to be heard by the seller, CM said she really wanted that particular swimwear. The seller quoted the price, and was shocked at the reply of CM. 

CM said that she did not have money, and asked the seller if she would not mind being sponsoring the outfit. Puzzled, the seller looked at CM. Pushing the idea further, CM said that she and her sister would post the “sponsorship” on their IG accounts. Of course, older sister (OS) is famous and controversial, and has thousands of followers. 

Allegedly, CM has been doing this routine quite too often. The question is if her sister and the rest of her half-siblings know what she has been doing. Her father would not be too pleased, as well as her aunt who exudes such a classy personality.
