The Morally Righteous

Every media appearance of a celebrity often depends on the people behind the scenes. While very few celebrities are innately witty and knowledgeable, a number can pretend to wing it and think that all viewers can tolerate their mistakes and not mind them at all. Even if writers have done their jobs and instructions have been given, some celebrities will lapse into their fossilized mistakes, which could be embarrassing at this age of grammar Nazis.
Thus, when Righteous Celebrity (RC) kept mispronouncing common words, some people in the audience could not help but be irritated by her speech. For example, she kept saying “Columbian,” instead of “Colombian.” While many will not mind the difference between the “u” and “o” sound, the pronunciation means a great deal in conveying meaning. In this case, the former refers to a university in New York, while the latter refers to a citizen from a country.
Incidentally, an FP follower pointed out certain errors in a recent work of RC. RC, having placed the country on the map in a contest a few years ago, is expected to be knowledgeable about the competition. Unfortunately, her work had several inconsistencies, such as the number of finalists in the competition where she participated years ago. Another alleged error is the year when a former winner ran in her home country for a national position. The year was 1998, but it was indicated as 2008. Either the work suffered from bad proofreading or RC did not check her facts.
As of now, RC has kept a low profile in the entertainment industry, and has opted to attempt to inspire the public to have a change of heart by using her experiences to convince them. However, most no longer find RC that credible as her last public pronouncements have created unwanted controversy among the different sectors of society, and perhaps, RC might want to check her facts as well.
You can't go around hoping that most people have sterling moral characters. The most you can hope for is that people will pretend that they do. –Fran Lebowitz

Always Prurient

Admittedly, men are sexual - they’re wired for it – can’t live without it. They say that a man's sexual awakening happens even before the onset of puberty. As men mature, their sexual thoughts consume most of their day. According to a study, men would spend more than four hours having sex and only three and a half working during their 'ideal' day.
But not all men are the same. While some are responsible enough to temper themselves, others would have none of it, as they give in to their cravings like mad. Much like the popular and Horny Actor HA who once happened to have a beautiful girlfriend in Snooty Actress SA who loved him so much.
After a short, colorful stint together, the couple finally called it quits. SA confessed to have loved HA so much and often got jealous even with his leading ladies. But their sweet, intimate moments together, the little and big things they did, more than covered up for their teenie-weenie issues.
SA was allegedly totally submissive to HA when they were still together. Some say that SA is just procrastinating as seen on her social media posts, but those privy to the ex-couple believe that she has every reason to after all. Apparently, it is only now that they've broken up that everything started to sink in to SA - how she had been used and exploited by HA in those times as she recalled that he was like a sex-starved gigolo. Even amid their tight schedules, HA often made an effort to go out on dates with her for some 'quality' time as he labeled it - but which would always turn out to be just a date for his 'sexual release.'
SA claimed that HA's sexual cravings were just too much that she could hardly handle it. It was acceptable to her in the beginning but not all of their sexual trysts were fun and pleasurable - especially for SA. Just like how HA would insist himself in her even if she didn't like to or if it was not the right time. Women, as we know, need time to get revved up. While some men may be more than willing to pull out all the stops to get a woman hot, HA was not the type as he was only after his own pleasure.
It happened many times and that was the start of her shattered image of HA. It got her to thinking she was being ravaged too much - and those talks that HA was also spotted secretly dating other girls was the last straw. Indeed, nothing that lusts ever lasts.
“A man can be happy with any woman as long as he does not love her. ” ~ Oscar Wilde

Epic Fail: Catching His Unguarded Moment
The gauge of good acting is based on the responses from the audience. When an actor plays the role of the maltreated lead and elicits sympathy from the public, then he/she achieved the ideal in acting. Similarly, contravidas are often assumed to be mean in real life. Often, the opposite is true, and a close and unguarded moment with an actor often exposes the true personality. This lesson was learned by one of the major anchors (MA) of a network.
Over time, MA was so impressed with Dramatic Performer (DP) that she instructed her staff to schedule him for an interview for her program. Based on the roles DP had portrayed in several of his hit dramas and the way he carries himself, MA assumed that he was as intelligent and profound as well. The staff paid DP a visit to set the interview. At the set, DP’s assistant received the questions for the interview and presented them to DP. The staff said they wanted to get a glimpse of the ordinary life of DP as well as his plans for his career as his teleserye was about to end. Follow up questions might be asked spontaneously, but since MA was not really known for stirring controversy, her line of questioning was deemed safe. The assistant returned, and said that DP was okay with the questions.
Just as when the staff thought everything would go smoothly, they were shocked with the next request. The assistant asked the staff to write the answers to their questions, so that these replies can be flashed on the teleprompter, and DP would just read them. The staff raised the point of spontaneity, as the interview was free-flowing. Besides, the answers should be from the point of view of DP, and DP’s natural reactions were important. The assistant then said that he would just be the one to write the answers, as DP will be tired to even think of his replies to the questions as he was shooting a big scene.
When MA found out what happened, she realized that DP was indeed a very good actor because he had managed to convince her that he was as intelligent as the characters he portrayed. Nonetheless, she kept poised and conducted the interview in her usual style, but this time, a teleprompter was behind her. When their cameras rolled, DP did his role quite well. He answered her questions convincingly, paused, and smiled every so often, as the non-verbal cues were also written on the teleprompter as well. However, MA could not feel the authenticity of DP throughout their interview, and she, too, had to act to hide her dismay at how DP opted to be interviewed.
Acting is a nice childish profession - pretending you're someone else and, at the same time, selling yourself. –Katharine Hepburn
