Not Ready

2014 seems to be the year of Fast rising Star. FS’ star shines brightly as he continues to be overwhelmed by projects and fortunes coming his way. Observers quip that he is quite lucky as well as His Partner HP, although some believe that FS’ popularity only rubbed off on her. As expected, they were told to keep a positive image, to be professional and maintain a good relationship with their fans, among others.
Meanwhile, their numerous fans continue to grow in number and is one of the reasons why FS and HP can capably command huge attendance in their tours/shows together. The public and fans find their chemistry perfect. When asked in one of their interviews, both FS and HP admitted that they mutually admire and like each other. To some fans, that’s good enough for now ‘though they wish that FS and HP will level up and be a couple for real. Is that a possibility? Let’s see.
A Group of Fans GF have spotted FS at a popular beach in the north where GF had a chance to talk to him briefly and had him sign autograph. However, FS told them that he was not allowed by his manager to have photos with them at that point. Though disillusioned, GF chose to abide by his request and just watched him from afar.
FS was then with his friends, including a girl who was with him along the waters of the beach. He and the girl were alone together while his other friends were in the pool. GF witnessed how sweet FS and the girl were, making them conclude that she could be FS’ girlfriend.
Apart from GF, there were also other people there who saw that FS and his friends were so loud and full of foul and cuss words when they talked, totally unmindful of the people around them. GF couldn’t believe their ears hearing FS uttered such words – they were oh so turned off by it all. Even their girl companions were no different, shouting swear words as they were struggling on surf boards.
The final blow came when they saw a young fan girl came to FS and she motioned to take a picture with him. FS blurted out to the girl, "I'm here for vacation and not for pictures!"
Hurt and embarrassed, the girl walked away.

Promotion Awaits MMDA Man Selling ‘Kakanin’ on the Side

A Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic constable who ended up on social media sites after he was spotted selling “kakanin” (native delicacies) to motorists was cited by the agency on Monday for his honesty and “creativity.”
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino met with 51-year-old Fernando Gonzales at the agency’s headquarters in Guadalupe, Makati City, where he was commended for finding an honorable way to raise money for his sons’ education instead of asking for bribes.
Tolentino, who described Gonzales as a good example for other traffic enforcers, advised him to continue what he was doing, adding that he had endorsed him for a promotion.
But not before he made sure that the traffic constable’s side job was not interfering with his primary duties and responsibilities.
“I am selling kakanin during weekends only since these are my days off,” Gonzales told Tolentino.
He explained, however, that he made the decision to wear his MMDA uniform to encourage more people to buy from him.
Gonzales became an instant hit on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter when photos and videos of him selling native delicacies to motorists on Edsa and in Caloocan City were shared by netizens who lauded his “amusing and honorable” way of striving to earn extra money for his family.
Gonzales was trembling and seemed to be in shock when he showed up at the MMDA headquarters on Monday because he initially thought he would be getting a reprimand from Tolentino.
He told reporters that he has been a traffic aide and member of the MMDA Motorcycle Unit since September 1990. He earns P15,000 a month.
“I thought of selling tupig, puto and other delicacies prepared by my wife to help send my two sons to school,” he said.
Asked if he ever thought of asking bribes from motorists, Gonzales said that he feared losing his job and his children’s trust.
