So Much Promise

Actress and Aspiring Singer AS is just a few of the talented stars under the network’s stable. AS who comes from a huge showbiz family has had her own share of controversial issues including those that almost cost her her career. Fortunately, she is made of tough stuff and is a real survivor.
Professionally, AS is passionate with her craft and knowing how competitive the industry is, she continues to reinvent herself which somehow elevates her a bit from the rest. AS was thus very excited upon being told that she was being considered to interpret a song for a musical event. She felt that it was the break of a lifetime for her, a big milestone for what her fans claimed as her promising musical career.
AS did not want to disappoint the people who believed in her that’s why she did her part and did not waste a minute. Soon after, she underwent voice lessons and really trained hard for it. Amid her busyness as an actress, she did make time for everything that was asked of her.
As such,she prepared herself psychologically and emotionally long before the actual recording of the song and prayed real hard for that she would clinch it. However, when the finished product aka AS' song interpretation was presented to the Song Composer SC, it was a big letdown. SC did not mince words when he said that AS has no musicality, she was out of tune and that she can’t do live. In other words, AS was declined!
Not long after, she learned that SC replaced her with a Refreshing Talent RT, a scion of a musical lineage. SC justified his choice of RT as one who was younger, sweet and definitely talented.
AS was devastated - more so when she learned who RT was. What a small world, indeed.

No Love and Regard for His Movie

Everyone knows how important reputation is. One’s image in a community is what makes or breaks a person. If one is good enough to have established a solid reputation, then half the battle is won. But if you have a bad/questionable one, sooner than later, you will reap what you sow. That is the law of the universe aka karma.
Film Director FD was allegedly very disappointed with his Lead Actor LA in The Movie TM that he just finished. FD complained that LA did not even make any effort to help promote TM considering that it was a big opportunity given to him to be cast in the lead role. FD claimed that unlike other TM stars, LA hardly promoted TM even in his social media accounts. For a lead actor in a movie, LA did not at all look the part, he was just so unexcited and apathetic.
What’s worse, LA did not and refused to attend TM’s premier night, making excuses and alibis like he was busy with his network obligations, shows, etc. In fact, production head pleaded with him but to no avail, as LA proceeded to go abroad for his commitments when he could have squeezed in a day for the premiere night and he would still be okay with his schedules. But LA would hear none of it.
When TM Producer TP was told by FD about LA’s indifference, she reportedly got mad and swore that she will never ever get LA again in her future movies. Indeed, why was LA so uncooperative with TM?
Some insiders had their take on the issue, noting that it was not a case of LA being inconsiderate, as he is a professional worker. It dawned on them that perhaps LA lost interest in TM knowing how shrewd and cunning TP can be when it comes to paying her stars. It is common knowledge that TP pays her talents with checks postdated for a year!
What talent will be inspired? Quite understandable – TP reaps what she sows.

His Distasteful Conduct

Has success gone into the head of Hot Actor (HA) after his drama series topped the ratings game? Being in the business for more than a decade and having experienced moving from one station to another, HA finally made it big with a series that surprised the public and the network as well. Since he started, HA has gained a reputation for his excellent acting skills, but the artistry of his projects hardly dents the box office results. Although competent, HA is not bankable enough when it comes to the big screen.
When HA finally starred in a much talked about project, he was once again propelled into the limelight and enjoyed the popularity that has eluded him for so many years. Finally, he was getting recognition for his craft and no longer for his notoriety with women. Even after the series ended, some sectors are clamoring for a rejoinder, which is an indication of the success. Sadly, quite a number of people realized that HA became more arrogant with this success.
One time, when HA was about to fetch his child, the guard refused him entry to the school. HA was not wearing the fetcher’s ID card. While the guard was just imposing the regulations of the school, HA got mad and confronted the guard. With an air of pride, HA said, “Don’t you know who I am?” The nannies and the moms who were staring at this beautiful actor turned their eyes away as they were turned off at the way HA conducted himself.
Although HA has an influential management team and the backing of his home network, incidents with ordinary people and away from the limelight tell much of his character. As a parent, HA should set an example of abiding by school rules and behaving with class, and not arrogance.
