Why is She Always Complaining?
If her actions are to be the basis, “success” has definitely eaten up and consumed this Rising Actress RA this early. The swell-headed star is often the target of complaints from some of her co-actors and production staff as she is getting too difficult to work with as days go by.
At the workplace, RA is always grouchy, unapproachable and throws her weight around. While other older stars would settle for less, RA would always demand for solo tent as she hates just anyone entering what she considers her private abode. Ditto, she also now refuses to eat catered food. Oh, people are in wonder…why so suddenly fastidious, RA?
Production Staff were also ordered by RA that she can only be woken up when it is already her scenes to be shot and not earlier – meaning, everything has to be on her own terms. Insiders ask what’s with RA, and where is her superiority and feeling entitled coming from?
The thing is, RA seems to have a lot of angst as she also resorts to lambasting people she doesn’t like, even fellow stars in her network, as what happened to Cheerful Actress CA recently.
RA was the interview subject of CA in a show where the two appeared to enjoy exchanging stories and banter with each other. But after the said interview, RA reportedly started to badmouth CA claiming how her (CA’s) grammar is always so bad and that CA only masks her flaws with what she perceives as classy accent.
Oh well, it’s just so unfortunate that RA had turned out this way. Observers remarked that her “success” should have given RA happiness and brought out the best in her since she is slowly realizing her dreams as she claims in her online accounts - but why is her demeanor seems to show the opposite – what gives?

Letter from a Reader: Lost and Found and Kept

Dear Fashion Pulis,
I am an avid follower of your blog, and I want to share with your readers my mindboggling experience with a shameless fast food crew.
Last August 18 (Saturday), I did an online reservation at Sureseats.com for three (3) tickets for a movie that me and my two (2) friends C1 and C2, planned to watch the following day, August 19 (Sunday) for a 5:10pm screening time at Greenbelt 3 cinema. As a policy, I had to screenshot the confirmation number to be presented to the ticket station and that the tickets have to be paid 45 minutes before the screening time or it would be automatically cancelled.
Sunday, around 4pm, C1 and I were already at Greenbelt and bought the 3 movie tickets. I didn’t bring my bag so I asked C1 to keep the tickets since my pocket was already full. Since C2 had not arrived yet, C1 and I decided to have a snack at a popular Fast food Restaurant FR while waiting for her. After eating, we headed back to the cinema to check if C2 was already there, as I asked C1 to bring out the tickets. She was shocked to find out that the tickets were missing!
After a while, C1 recalled what happened earlier at FR. He said that while we were lining up to order our food, he remembered reaching out for his cellphone inside his pocket, then noticed a male FR Crew FC passed by and picked up something beside him (C1). This C1 just ignored - but which he belatedly realized and was 100% sure that what FC picked up were our missing tickets!
Quickly, he headed back to FR to look for that FC while I remained near the cinema to wait for C2, but already stressed as the movie was about to start in minutes. After 5 minutes, C1 messaged me saying that when he arrived at FR, he didn’t immediately see FC and that it was a female crew who attended to him whom he reported the incident to. He inquired if the tickets could have been handed to her or their manager (read: lost and found).
The female crew said that she didn’t know a thing about the tickets, she also said there were already some crew members who finished their shift and left. It was at this point that C1 saw FC and asked him about the tickets. Feigning innocence, FC said that he thought it was nothing and that he threw the tickets to the trash bin.
C1 countered that they could go and search for it at the trash - which they did - but oddly, no tickets were found. Then the manager came and upon being told of the incident, remarked (verbatim), “ Ganun po talaga dito, pag may nakakalat sa sahig pinupulot at tinatapon.” Really? What kind of manager would say that unused movie tickets found are to be trashed is beyond me.
Pressed for time and realizing the futility of it all, C1 told me to just proceed to the ticket station to ask what can be done about the problem. When I went to the station and told the staff about our missing tickets, I was shocked when they told me that there were two (2) guys who went earlier to ask for a refund of the tickets! When the staff asked them for a confirmation number (for sureseats.com online booking), the guys failed to present anything and reasoned out that their friend who had the number already left. At this point, the staff thought that the guys may have decided to watch the movie instead, thus she asked the guard to go inside and checked if our seat numbers I-12,13,14 were occupied. The guys were still lucky that they did not watch, or what a scene it would have been!
Finally, after all the anxiety that we went through, my friends and I were finally able to watch the movie! After watching, we would have wanted to go back to FR to confront FC, but it was already late in the evening. When I got home, I got online and went to FR’s website and emailed them about the incident. Luckily, they replied quickly and said that they are going to conduct an investigation and would revert back to me.
Early this afternoon, I got a call from a representative of FR to apologize for the incident and likewise informed me that the matter was already relayed to FC's employment agency for appropriate action to be taken thereof.
As an afterthought, it deeply saddens me that this thing happened, and FC had to lie and take interest on the tickets as to refund them. It was obvious that FC asked his fellow FCs to refund the tickets for him and then perhaps would divide the loot among themselves..tsk tsk tsk. Was that what their training made of them?
It just dawned on me that what happened to us was not an isolated case – that this maybe a common practice to some FCs. What a way to repay their loyal customer.
The movie tickets worth Php750 wouldn’t have hurt so bad, but what if it were the more pricey stuff that their customers left, like gadgets – or cash? Will these FCs go for the Kill?
To all FC’s and the like, always keep in mind – Finders are not Keepers. Your customers are to be served, not robbed.
Thank you, Fashion Pulis, for giving me a space in your blog. God bless!
Sincerely,
Cheska

Can't Ask Much
How is friendship tested? To what extent are you going to help a friend in need? Surely being there and giving her/him your time comes much easier - but what if the problem is about money? Regardless of the amount, money is such a sensitive matter between friends, as it can cause stress for both the borrower and the lender. Ultimately it can ruin their relationship in the process if the borrower turns out to be irresponsible.
Some years ago, Business Minded Actor BA and Hunky Actor HA were together in a group that honed their skills to stardom. Together with their batch mates, they became one happy family doing movies and shows together. The years saw them reinventing themselves - BA becoming a big success in his field while nothing much can be said of HA, who except for some controversies and brief television appearances in the past, is now hardly visible on screen.
One day, HA went to BA to ask for a loan - like a few hundred thousand pesos. HA frankly told BA that his expected money was arriving quite late as His Benefactor HB was still busy out-of-town, and he already needed the money to pay for his utilities, among others.
On hearing this, BA told HA to see him A days later in one of BA's establishments located in the northern metro. HA was so happy and thanked BA for agreeing to help him. On that day, HA was at the venue, came even earlier than the appointed time and waited for BA.
But to his big dismay, he was informed that BA was not there and would not be coming as he was somewhere in the south attending to some other business matters. Oh, HA at the north while BA at the south, how odd was that? HA was brokenhearted.
Anyway, if HA was smart enough, he would realize that perhaps, the astute BA could be sending him a message – that money, especially that kind of money he was asking doesn’t come easy, as he (BA) works very hard to earn it. And that if the very able-bodied HA wants a certain lifestyle, he might as well do the same and stop relying on benefactors. If indeed, BA must have truly spoken from experience. Smart.
