Just Evade the Breakup Story
A few months ago, a rumor went around that a married political figure (MF) was playing beautiful music with the favorite daughter (FD) of a well-loved politician (WP). The rumor was fanned further as MF and WP were no longer seen together in political functions as often as before, and thus, the conclusion was that WP was not in favor of the alleged relationship of FD and MF. The story eventually reached a higher level, when it was alleged that MF had gotten FD pregnant.
However, when asked about the said rumor, MF immediately denied such story and said he was happily married. WP said that the story was rubbish as FD was still married to the scion of an influential family (SO). Incidentally, the wedding of SO and FD was highly noted as their union merged two powerful families in business, politics, and society. As SO and FD have kept low-profile lives despite their famous families, mainstream media have not really paid much attention to exposing the kinks in their marriage.
Just as when the rumor between MF and FD seems to be dying, sightings of SO and his “girlfriend’ (HG) have become frequent. SO has been bringing HG around, which had added to the doubt that all is well in his marriage with FD. HG comes from a big network that is associated with another side of his family.
Was MF such a gentleman then that he was the shoulder to cry on for FD? Did he not think that falling for FD could endanger his political plans and the loss of support from WP? While the life of WP has always been open to the public, he puts his foot down when matters involve FD.

MTRCB Bars Minors in 'GGV' Audience

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has ordered ABS-CBN to undergo "remedial and self-regulatory measures" for three months after it received complaints against two programs hosted by comedian Vice Ganda.
The regulatory agency said the complaints were in relation to insulting scenes and words with double meaning on both the noontime program "It's Showtime" and the late-night talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice."
In connection with this, the MTRCB has ordered ABS-CBN to no longer accommodate minors in the audience of "Gandang Gabi Vice," which airs taped episodes on Sundays.
The MTRCB also recommended that Vice Ganda, whose real name is Jose Marie Viceral, and the staff of both programs should undergo a seminar about audience and child sensitivity.
ABS-CBN, which assured MTRCB of its cooperation for the benefit of its audience, is set to submit its self-regulatory recommendations on September 1.
The MTRCB earlier had Vice Ganda and ABS-CBN staff attend a dialogue with the Ateneo Human Rights Center and the National Counfil for Children's Television.

Arrogant Beauties

Much negativity has been said about Overrated Star OS and her Aggressive Mother AM. OS and AM have gained quite a following on social media where both are active. It is where followers get updates from OS and where they also express their admiration for her. Rightly or wrongly, AM heavily monitors and guards OS’s accounts against online bashers.
Ever since OS became a household name, AM has been overzealous in protecting her and oftentimes, she’s fast on the draw when dealing with AA’s followers’ unsavory comments. AM minces no words whenever she reacts to each and every basher of OS. Consequently, AM gets her own share of bashers, too.
Allegedly, as OS’s star continues to rise, so thus AM’s pride and conceit. Notably, accusations that mother and daughter have become arrogant because of OS’s new-found fame has stirred various reactions from the public, particularly the netizens. Not long after, they (especially AM) became the favorite people to bash on social media.
Anyone who messes up with OS is sure to get a mouthful from AM. Thus, in retaliation, she gained bashers/haters who called her names. Ruthlessly labeled as social climbing, attention seeking famew*****, the two were once told by netizens that more than their looks, it is their attitude that badly needs extreme makeover. Hard!
AM just couldn’t help herself from incurring the ire of people when she displays such overbearing attitude everywhere.. One of the incidents reportedly happened at a steakhouse restaurant where OS and AM were having dinner.
After dinner, OS wanted to go to the ladies room. AM called on the waiter and reportedly told him to disinfect the ‘CR’ because OS will use it. Although surprised by such request, waiter replied that the ladies room was well-maintained. But AM wouldn’t hear of it and insisted that he did what he was told.
Waiter left and returned, told AM, “Okay na po.“
Not content, AM allegedly asked her personal assistant to spray some more disinfectant to the cr. PA did as told, and to abide by AM’s specific instruction, parked herself by the door so that no one could use the cr while OA was inside.
“Good breeding consists in concealing how much we think of ourselves and how little we think of the other person.” ~ Mark Twain

Tart-tongued comedian Joan Rivers was rushed to a Manhattan hospital Thursday morning after she stopped breathing during an operation, a family source told the Daily News.
“We are scared,” the source said. “This is not looking good. No big medical decisions will be made until (daughter) Melissa arrives.”
An assistant to the renowned 81-year-old comic was overheard saying that Rivers, who TMZ says is in critical condition, was inside Mount Sinai Medical Center after arriving a short time earlier.
“She’s not conscious, but she’s stable,” said an obviously distraught Graham Reed, the comedian’s assistant. Reed refused to provide any details when approached by a reporter
But the family source said friends were gathering Thursday inside Rivers’ apartment.
Joan Rivers' assistant, Graham Reed, is seen Thursday outside Mount Sinai Hospital, where the comedian was rushed after she stopped breathing during surgery at a clinic.
“She would want us all to laugh,” the source said. “But at the moment, we are all praying.”
Emergency medical help was dispatched to 201 E. 93rd St. at 9:40 a.m., with the patient in “cardiac and respiratory arrest” at the scene, the FDNY reported
Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai Medical Center on Madison Ave. at 99th St.
The Brooklyn-born Rivers was reportedly undergoing surgery on her vocal cords at a clinic when the problem occurred, and she was quickly rushed to Mount Sinai, according to TMZ.com.
Rivers, 81, is a longtime Manhattan resident. She appeared in good shape Wednesday night for a performance at the Laurie Beechman Theater on W. 42nd St.
“She was incredible, sounded great,” said one fan who attended the gig.

Apparently Hello Kitty is a Human Girl, Not a Cat

The cat's out of the bag!
In a Los Angeles Times interview, Christine Yano, curator of an upcoming exhibit on Hello Kitty at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, said Sanrio considers its billion-dollar icon to be a human girl. As she put it:
“I was corrected — very firmly. That’s one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show. Hello Kitty is not a cat. She’s a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She’s never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature. She does have a pet cat of her own, however, and it’s called Charmmy Kitty.”
Cue the collective—and understandable—”What?!?!?!” on social media.
Sanrio indeed confirmed the news and also pointed us to Hello Kitty’s official bio:
As tall as five apples, and as heavy as three, Hello Kitty is a bright little girl with a heart of gold. She loves to bake cookies and play the piano, and dreams of one day becoming a pianist or maybe even a poet. She has a gift for music and English, and a soft spot for Mama’s apple pie. Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy are the best of friends.
