The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has ordered ABS-CBN to undergo "remedial and self-regulatory measures" for three months after it received complaints against two programs hosted by comedian Vice Ganda.
The regulatory agency said the complaints were in relation to insulting scenes and words with double meaning on both the noontime program "It's Showtime" and the late-night talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice."
In connection with this, the MTRCB has ordered ABS-CBN to no longer accommodate minors in the audience of "Gandang Gabi Vice," which airs taped episodes on Sundays.
The MTRCB also recommended that Vice Ganda, whose real name is Jose Marie Viceral, and the staff of both programs should undergo a seminar about audience and child sensitivity.
ABS-CBN, which assured MTRCB of its cooperation for the benefit of its audience, is set to submit its self-regulatory recommendations on September 1.
The MTRCB earlier had Vice Ganda and ABS-CBN staff attend a dialogue with the Ateneo Human Rights Center and the National Counfil for Children's Television.

DeleteKaya nga late na sa gabi ang GGV para tulog na ang mga bata. Tsaka anong klase naman mga magulang yan pinapayagaan mga anak. Alam naman ng lahat na comedy bar humor yang si Vice.

ReplyDeleteYung mga humahanash dyan na rated SPG, hindi yata kayo nagbabasa. Yung mga minors, bawal na sa LIVE AUDIENCE. Ibig sabihin nun, may mga bata mismo dun sa set. Yun ang issue, hindi yung mga bata na nanonood sa bahay. Kayo talagang mga little Ponies, kulang sa comprehension skills.

ReplyDeleteAyan ha, nakalagay, audience ng GGV during taping. Hindi yung nanonood na mga bata sa kani-kanilang bahay kundi yung mismong nandun sa set. Hay kaloka ang ibang readers mo FP, kuda ng kuda, hindi naman pala naiintindihan ang binabasa!
hindi ba dapat responsibility ng mga parents yung mga minors na yun...
DeleteDear FP readers, magkaiba yung audience dun sa taped episodes sa mga televiewers. Yung aired episodes eh edited na yun, wala na yung mas lewd na jokes pero yung mga audience na nasa studio mismo during the taping, naririnig nila lahat. Yun ang issue dito ng MTRCB--na may minors dun sa audience DURING taping, hindi yung minors na televiewers. Medyo paganahin natin ang synapses ng utak natin ha?

ReplyDeleteMinsan kase hindi na nagiisip si Vice. Ang bibig walang kontrol. Kung anong gusto sabihin kahit na may mga batang audience walang paki. Dami pa naman nyang mga batang viewers. Sana bawasan na lang nya pag sasalita ng hindi maganda sa tv. Ok lang sana kung nasa comedy bar sya eh.

pang comedy bar kasi ang style nya. sa comedy bar kasi, enter at your own risk. pero sa tv, i don't think so. hindi naman sa lahat ng oras nababantayan ng mga parents mga anak nila. pwede naman magpatawa na hindi ka nambabastos ng kapwa or nanglalait. wag nya dalhin ang comedy bar sa tv.
