Kind of Cold and Indifferent to Her Loving Fans
Expectedly, during taping breaks, Eager Fans EF take every opportunity to have photos taken with their favorite stars, most notably, with the leading actors of TS. Reportedly, among them celebrities, it is Snooty Star SS who is always distant and aloof towards EF.
Not only is she aloof, but on the very rare times that SS gave EF the chance to pose with her and shook their hands, SS never failed to degrade EF or to make them feel small. Countless times, EF often saw her immediately applying sanitizers on her hands right after each encounter with them.
There is nothing wrong in what SS does, but to be outright rude is a different thing altogether. Expectedly, SS habitually hides from EF and onlookers to avoid being seen and requested for photos.
On the other hand, contrary to SS’ aloof attitude, Charming Actor CA, Hunk Actor HA and Pretty Star PS were always accommodating to them. Understandably, everytime EF’s approach these stars, they don’t feel intimidated as the stars always have ready smiles for them.
This was not the first time that SS was complained about for the same reason – lack of refinement in her words and actions. Allegedly, SS doesn’t choose whom to show her rudeness to – she’s often the same anytime, anywhere and to anyone – except when cameras are rolling.
In fact, in the same province not too long ago, SS was allegedly severely reprimanded to mend her ways and get her act together after the Head of the Parish HP himself was not spared from SS misbehavior the last time she was there. HP complained and she was reportedly banned to do taping or shooting in the area.
Lucky for SS that she was allowed to shoot there again. Local folks reported that HP was recently transferred.
Indeed, SS is a character, definitely her own person - only her.

KIA, NLEX, Blackwater Approved as New PBA Teams

PBA Commissioner Chito Salud announced applicants KIA, NLEX, and Blackwater have officially been approved as new teams in the PBA after a lengthy board meeting on Thursday, April 10.
"Three applied, 3 were recommended for approval, 3 were approved," Salud announced.
The 3 companies -- the Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC) for KIA, Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc. for Blackwater, and the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) for NLEX -- are set to join the PBA for its 40th season, which will tip off in the last quarter of this year.
CAC is the exclusive distributor of KIA Motors in the Philippines, while Ever Bilena and MPIC are the parent companies of Blackwater and NLEX, respectively.
Both Blackwater and NLEX have teams in the PBA Developmental League or D-League. On the other hand, KIA is known to be a supporter of football in the country, which is best exhibited through its sponsorship of the Philippine Azkals, the national men's football team.
According to Salud, it was a unanimous vote from the board in favor of the new teams.
"The board saw that each of the applicants was liquid, profitable and would add value to the league."
Salud started conducting due diligence early in March, where he assessed each of the team's financial capabilities and their willingness to join the 39-year old league.
"They have been informally and verbally notified of their acceptance. We will be sending them the formal acceptance of their membership within the week," Salud said.
"And we will expect their formal reply in the soonest possible time. Although as I understand, Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. has already signified its acceptance of the approval of the board."
No direct hire
The 3 new teams were not allowed the privilege of directly hiring players for its roster, considering KIA will be at a disadvantage since it has not formed a team yet unlike Blackwater and NLEX.
"As much as we wanted to give direct hire, we could not, because we wanted to treat all of the applicants evenly," Salud explained.
Instead, Salud said the 3 new teams will be given the "11th, 12th, and 13th pick of the first round (in the 2014 PBA Draft). The order of which will be determined by lottery."
For acquiring players, which is the greatest concern for the teams, Salud said the current 10 teams have agreed to release their two restricted free agents as the PBA will conduct an expansion draft between the 3 new teams by mid-July at the end of the current season.
The current teams will have to decide until the end of the season which 14 players to keep and which two players to release.
He also said 40 veteran free agents as well as rookie free agents will be included in the pool for the expansion draft.
As far as scheduling is concerned, Salud said there will be a minimum of 4 game dates a week and "most probably 5."
He noted the current 3-conference set-up will stand.
Voting powers
As new members of the PBA, the 3 teams, according to Salud, will have full voting powers much like the current 10 teams "as full-fledged members of the league."
However, with the case of MPIC, who is owned by the MVP group like the Meralco Bolts and Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters, they will only be allowed to vote "on policy matters, but not with respect to policy matters."
That set-up holds true for the third team of the San Miguel Corporation, San Mig Super Coffee.
Ever Bilena and MPIC will carry over its team names from the D-League: Blackwater Sports and NLEX Road Warriors. While KIA is set to hold a contest for its team name.
"Well, it's a first. I think this is a momentuous occasion in the PBA," Salud remarked. "Three new teams, 3 expansion teams coming in all at the same time in time for our 40th season. Nothing can be more exciting than that."
Illegal Detention Case Filed vs Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo, Others

In a 42-page consolidated resolution released Thursday, aside from Lee and Cornejo, charged are Cedric’s sister Bernice, Simeon Raz, Jose Paolo Gregorio Calma, Ferdinand Guerrero and Sajed “Jed” Fernandez Abuhijleh.
No bail was recommended for their temporary liberty.
The alleged mauling incident took place last Jan. 22. The DOJ cited as among the basis of the case is the severe beatings and mauling supposedly inflicted by Cedric Lee’s group on Navarro as mentioned in the medico legal report and certificate issued by St. Luke’s Medical Center.
“In this case, the vivid recollection of complainant Navarro of what transpired on Jan. 22 from the time he entered the condominium unit of respondent Cornejo up to the time he was brought out of the said place indubitably shows that he was actually restrained or deprived of his liberty against his will and that makes respondents liable for serious illegal detention,” the DOJ resolution stated.
“It can only be gathered that during this period, there was no occasion for Navarro to free himself from captors, as they had beaten him up, pointed a gun at him and threatened him, once he was inside respondent Cornejo’s unit, and even tied his hands at the back and was brought to the police station for a blotter to be taken…From a serious and introspective assessment of these facts, it can only be gleaned that Navarro was detained in a manner that deprived him of his liberty because of the serious physical injuries he sustained,” the resolution further stated.
The DOJ also dismissed the defense of Lee’s group that the money they demanded from Navarro was in a form of damages in favor of Cornejo.
The DOJ said the demand for money while Navarro is under their supposed custody is still considered “ransom.”

After a tight hug from the show’s cheering co-hosts including Kim Atienza, Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford and Jhong Hilario, among others, a sobbing Navarro faced the audience and expressed his gratitude for the support of his fans and stars in the show.
“Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at muling pagtitiwala, at pagbibigay ng second chance,” the emotional Navarro said during the show.
(Thank you so much for the love and renewed trust, and for giving me a second chance.)
He also thanked his lawyers, his manager Chito Roño, his co-hosts, and family for believing in him despite his case.
“Ayaw ko po mabahiran ng krimen ang aking pagkatao… Gusto ko magpasaya ng tao kahit may pinagdadaanan akong mabigat,” Navarro said.
(I don’t want my personality to be tainted with a crime… I still want to make people happy even though I’m going through a burden.)
He also acknowledged the fact that he cheated on his girlfriend with Denice Cornejo.
“Siguro nagkasala ako sa girlfriend ko, inaamin ko,” Navarro said.
(I admit I sinned against my girlfriend.)
“[Pero] naging mabuti akong anak. Ang pagiging mabuti kong anak ay gusto ko ipakita sa mga anak ko,” he said.
(But I have been a good son. And that I want to show to my children.)
Meanwhile, the justice department filed illegal detention case against Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee and several others involved in the mauling of Navarro.
