Ex-Couple Carmina Villaroel, BB Gandanghari Spotted in Kathryn Bernardo's Debut

All eyes were on former couple Carmina Villaroel and Rustom Padilla, who is now more known as BB Gandanghari after he came out of the closet in 2006, during the birthday celebration of Kathryn Bernardo on Saturday which they both attended.

Villaroel was Bernardo’s co-star in the hit series “Got to Believe” while Gandanghari is the uncle of Daniel Padilla, Bernardo’s leading man.

But Villaroel admitted on “Buzz ng Bayan” Sunday that they did not get the chance to talk.

“Alam ko lang na nandoon siya kasi nauna kaming dumating. So nung dumating sila, 'yung Padilla family, alam ko na. Nakita ko na sila from afar. Hindi kami nagkakitaan. Nakita ko lang na dumating siya kasama sila Robin and sila Mariel (Rodriguez),” she said.

Admitting that she was anxious the entire time, Villaroel said she felt people were watching them carefully to see if they would greet each other.

“Naupo na ako sa table namin. Guess what? [Magkatabi ang table namin],” she said. “Na-feel ko 'yung mga mata nila nasa amin. Bawat galaw ko tinitignan kung magbabatian ba kami or anong mangyayari.”

“Basta kasama ko si Zoren and 'yung kambal. Basta naupo na lang ako and nate-tense talaga ako. Kunyari wala lang, naka-smile lang ako to death. Kasi kapag ninenerbyos ako, naka-smile lang ako,” she added.

According to Villaroel, it’s probably not yet time for them to face each other.

“Bilang respeto din kay Kathryn dahil debut niya, ayaw ko naman mag-create ng [scene]... Hindi kami nagkita. Siguro baka hindi pa oras,” she said.

Just like what she said in the past, Villaroel is hoping that when the time comes for her and Gandanghari to talk to each other, it would be just the two of them with no cameras.

“Kasi maliit lang ang mundo natin, magkikita at magkikita talaga kami. Sana walang camera muna. For now, hi BB. Dito na lang muna kami sa TV,” she said.

Villaroel and Gandanghari tied the knot in 1994, but separated in 1996. Their marriage was annulled in 2002.

Poll: Did Sen. Sonny Angara Ruin Pia Wurtzbach’s Chances at Bb. Pilipinas?

Source: www.inquirer.net

Did Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara’s question affect Pia Wurtzbach’s chances at Bb. Pilipinas?

Netizens think it did.

The names of both the senator and the actress-turned-beauty queen occasionally trended on Twitter on Monday, with pageant fans weighing in on the controversy.

Many believed Angara’s decision to ask in Filipino threw off Wurtzbach, who hails from Cagayan de Oro and lived in England.

“Ano yung pinakamagandang leksyon na maituturo ng isang babae sa buong mundo (What is the most important lesson that a woman can tell the world)?” Angara, who was among the competition judges, asked.

(The lesson that a woman may impart to the world is having trust in herself. What you call intuition. If you have intuition you will be able to find your place in the world. Even if you are not sure with what you feel or think, if you are intuitive, then you will become successful in whatever you do in your life.)

Before giving his question, Angara asked Wurtzbach, “Okay lang ba Tagalog (Can I ask it in Tagalog)?”

“Opo, pwede ko ring sagutin ng Tagalog kung gusto nyo po (Yes, I can also answer it in Tagalog if you want.),” the contestant answered.

The 24-year old did not win any crown during the Bb. Pilipinas pageant but bagged special awards from the contest sponsors. She received the She’s So Jag Award and was hailed Miss Philippines Airlines.

Fans of the actress, who is a former talent of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, said it was Angara’s fault why Wurtzbach didn’t place in the competition. Meanwhile, others defended the senator, saying he shouldn’t be the one to blame.

Even the Instagram accounts of both Angara and Wurtzbach received unsolicited comments from netizens.

Nevertheless, the actress, posted on Instagram, “Grateful that I was able to experience what it’s like to be a part of the pageant world. When I placed 1st runner up last year, I gave all my time, effort & love to my job. I had so much fun! I just tried again because I wanted to know of this was really meant for me. But how do you know if you don’t take chances, right?”

“I’m glad I made it this far. No doubt that I learned so much from it. I’m a better person now than I was a year ago. Thank you to my mentors from Aces & Queens for teaching me everything I know & transforming me! & to my supporters for pushing me & encouraging me. Thank you!!! Time to turn the page & move on to a new chapter!” she added.

Wurtzbach, known by her screen name Pia Romero, was born in Stuttgart, Germany but raised in the Philippines before spending several years in England. She was the sole runner up in last year’s Binibining Pilipinas competition.

The Pick of the Season

The appeal of Good-looking Singer GS caters to general audience and to the straights and gays alike. GS looks wholesome, reserved and clean cut. Physically, he looks like someone that a girl would take home to mommy.

However, some gay rumors attributed to him have been persistent to this day. Expectedly, nothing has been confirmed from GS’ camp. For years, he had succeeded in evading the sensitive issue of his preference. It helped that he is a quiet guy and had no known enemies who would want to nail him down.

But somehow, rumors like these were doused off when GS had a relationship with a Hot Celebrity HC which kind of shocked his fans and showbiz followers. His sudden but brief affair with HC had sparked ugly rumors once more that GS was just trying to divert the public’s assumption from his real persona.

At a just-concluded reality search of his network, GS took a liking at one of the Show’s Finalists SF who stood out for his singing prowess and extremely good looks. When the television search ended, SF being a finalist got to have some regular appearances on the network’s special variety show.

Prior to the rehearsals for the show that weekday, GS reportedly took the opportunity to engage SF to a private tutorial – in GS’ house of course. GS was allegedly so smitten by SF that he started doing the tutorial regularly at his home.

Everytime the said tutorial was done at his home, GS would make sure that SF would feel really special and cared for. How? GS would reportedly have the food specially catered for them and that SF would be picked up and delivered home only by GS driver.

Clearly, if that is not special enough, I don’t know what is.

Will GS and SF’s togetherness be for a long haul this time? As they say – only time will tell.
