Nonetheless, rumors are going on that the series will be cut short and may just last one season (or even just end within the next six weeks). The ratings are below the expectations and the tandem of LC and PA did not generate the anticipated chemistry. Moreover, the continuous negative publicity that hounds CT is not helping at all.
While fans will definitely create an uproar over this rumor, such is the game of the network. The network has already been criticized for ending a highly publicized drama within a few weeks. The network simply said the series was designed merely for a season. Yet, that response was not accepted easily because of the highly competent cast that series had.
Thus, with the series of LC that banks only on the strength of the three leads, the series apparently did not live up to expectations. Besides, the premise has already been tried and tested, and the viewers might already be tired of such a story.
Of course, if the series does end soon, the blame might be pointed to PA, who has already made public his personal plans that will definitely impact on his career. As for CT, the series will not be a loss on her part as her role is reinforcing the perceived image her controversies have created.
You want good ratings, you want people to like the show, you want to be appreciated for the hard work you put in. You don't always get it. Every show is not beloved. -Yvette Nicole Brown
