Demanding Celebrity DC is someone who is often peppered with nasty comments from people who associate her with notoriety. Ever since she hit big time, DC had began acquiring attitudes which are at best, annoying. DC feels such conceit and grandeur as if anything that is done or connected to her must be something grand, expensive and flamboyant. She makes no bones about making unreasonable demands everytime she is tasked to do a shoot, hosting gig, pictorial, among many others. She would fuss over many little things until she gets her way.

DC has a forthcoming tv show which is something different, a deviation from her usual forte that she hasn’t done yet. During the negotiations for the new show NS, DC specified her demands, among them - she will have her own team to style her and do her makeup every episode taping. Her own team are all top names in their field, aka pricey - something that the production PR balked at because NS is no variety show that would merit a budget for DC’s big demands. In fact, DC knows that shows like NS runs on low budget and has short airtime only.

Unfortunately, DC who some people label as undeserved entitlement personified, has incurable desire to always look glam in any show, regardless of. Too bad for her this time – PR is not biting on her demands. DC has no choice but to push through with NS – whether she feels doll or dull.

Maja Salvador to Bashers: Wala akong Inagaw

After keeping mum for a very long time, actress Maja Salvador finally addressed her bashers who continue to call her names in various social networking sites.

Salvador earned some haters when actor Gerald Anderson admitted that they are in a relationship.

“Ang daming puwedeng sabihin, pero ayaw ko nang i-defend ang sarili ko o iklaro kung ano ang tingin ng tao sa akin. Majarot? Ahas? Isipin na lang nila 'yon. Pero sa akin, never akong naapektuhan dahil unang una, wala akong inagawan, at wala akong inagaw,” she said.

Anderson is the former boyfriend of actress Kim Chiu, Salvador’s erstwhile best friend.

In the July 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Salvador said her bashers can say what they want to say but she will not waste time worrying over what others think of her.

Salvador said her decision not to talk about her rift with Chiu was because she still treasures the friendship that they had.

“Kung para sa kanya, hindi niya nakita ang foundation ng friendship namin, sa akin gusto ko makita niya na para sa akin, nandoon pa din. At the end of the day, gusto kong piliin ang maging kaibigan. She knows everything from the start,” she said.

Salvador said people should not put all the blame on her because Anderson and Chiu also had their share of mistakes.

“Aminin natin, aminin ko na. May mali ako, may mali si Kim, mali si Gerald. 'Yung sa akin, sige mali, dahil magkaibigan kami at ex niya. Si Ge, mali dahil alam niya magkaibigan kami tapos pumasok [siya sa eksena], at si Kim, dahil three years na nga [since naging sila],” she said.

While she doesn’t get affected by whatever her bashers say, Salvador said she is sad for her friendship with Chiu.

“Mahirap, masakit. Every day nakikita ko si Kim sa set. 'Yung dati mong kaibigan, stranger na ang turing sa 'yo. Pero kailangan mong tanggapin at intindihin,” she said.

Amid this trying time, Salvador said she just tries to hold her head up high and brave every controversy.

“Tumatakbo pa rin si Thelma sa loob ko. May mga bagay na pagiging matatag na lang ang puwede mong panghawakan, kasi kung wala 'yon, saan ka pupunta?” she said, referring to her role as a runner in the movie of the same name

The actress said she does not regret fighting for Anderson because the actor also did the same for her.

“Anong magagawa mo kung sabihin sa 'yo, ayaw niyang ihinto?” she asked.

“Ang ipaglaban ang pagmamahal na hindi mo naman alam [kung magwo-workout], that’s the bravest thing I ever did. Kung pinaninindigan ka naman, bakit hindi mo rin panindigan?” she added.

Bewildered Actress BA seems determined to reclaim lost glory at all cost. BA’s feistiness is on fire as she is set to prove to her detractors the stuff she is genuinely made of – real talent. BA admitted to her past indiscretions that pulled her down significantly, and she is now in fighting form ready for the game.

BA’s management BM has for her a movie to be co-produced with a Major Network MN. But long before talks went off the press, speculations were already wild that BA’s estranged relative ER is set to thwart any attempts by BA to make a comeback to MN. Astute ER knows that she has the force to muscle her way through MN having earned some good points with the company in the years that she worked with them. In the process, those good points leveled up to good relationships with MN’s top guns.

ER worked with MN extremely well. Production People PP were one in saying that working with ER provided them ease and savings in terms of production cost. PP were relieved that ER shouldered all the stuff and requirements needed for her various roles in some shows she did for them. Those indeed were huge sums in savings for PP and MN. Much unlike BA in her last days with MN, where she was everybody’s major headache. Those were the days of BA’s infamy which she allegedly tried making up for with MN – but to no avail.

There were earlier reports of BA sending not just feelers, but flowers as well to her former MN benefactors. But these reportedly fell flat, too - as the “wounds” were too deep to vanish so soon. Lucky for BA that she has a no-nonsense BM in the industry which MN can hardly say no to. But at the rate things go, BA’s involvement with MN will be limited to movies co-produced with BM – and not teleseryes which BA and her fans have long dreamed of.

Hopefully, BA would have learned her lessons well - in this industry, character is sacred.

As the last of the confetti fell on the winner TW, and the last hoots were heard, this contest will remain as one of the most controversial as far as its winners are concerned. First, over the years, the finalists were almost the same faces, and thus, winners were often questioned whether they deserved the accolade or not. Second, in this year’s awarding, conspicuously absent were several finalists. Thus, the winner did not have her court.

Finally, the most controversial rumor is that the outcome of the contest was the result of a promise of the organizer to the former manager of FM. Is this the reason for the absence of the other finalists? Nonetheless, TW has one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz, and regardless of the intrigues, she brought home the honor. In other words, the rumors will die down, but her proclamation will be etched in the contest's history.

On hindsight, another parallel story is that the alleged real winner was one of the absent finalists. However, AF just doesn’t have the charisma of the other finalists, and with TW, AF will definitely pale in comparison. Although AF has been in the business for a time, she has yet to have a strong following. The question is how AF allegedly managed to win in a voting contest. Allegedly, it was through the help of a scion SP of a political family that got her the votes. It’s just too bad that SP lost last May despite the support of several showbiz personalities, and the strong family name.

What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts to each new twist of fate. -Donald Trump

It came like a shock to some of her friends when Celebrity Editor CE posted in her social media account a strongly-worded statement that somehow caught her followers by surprise. CE who is not known for anything combative in her posts left her friends wondering who could she be alluding to.

From some sources, it was gathered that CE’s staff made invitation to Passionate Actress PA to request her to be their magazine cover. It was learned that PA not only declined the offer but was reported to have uttered something unsavory about the magazine and CE. Those unsavory remarks had reached CE and caused her outburst.

At their editorial meeting, CE blew her top and infront of everyone, she called PA “unprofessional, mayabang at walang talent.” Certainly, the staff knew where CE was coming from, and they understood her.

In a way, showbiz is such a small world, everyone knows that whatever conflict one has towards a colleague/s should not be a reason to close and lock one’s doors because it is definitely a no-win situation.

But one may ask, why would PA decline an offer to pose for a magazine cover where CE works. Well, it’s a no-brainer question for people who are privy to the history of PA and CE. Is it not public knowledge that the two have a common denominator in the person of a low-key and elusive bureaucrat? Some people surmise that for the three of them, the circumstances behind their love story are not exactly worth looking back to.

Maja Salvador Finds New Friend in Angel Locsin

Actress Maja Salvador considers her upcoming series a big step in her career since she will be sharing starring with two of the most acclaimed stars of this generation.

Following the success of “Ina Kapatid Anak,” Salvador said she is already looking forward to working again – this time with Angel Locsin and Jericho Rosales.

“I am very excited kasi panibagong step at panibagong challenge 'yun sa career ko. The story is all about love. Parang hanggang kailan mo kakayanin ang lahat para sa pag-ibig,” she said in an interview.

Salvador said she is glad to have found a new friend in Locsin, who she described as a very kind person.

“Kapag nakikita ko siya parang walang siyang ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti. Parang angel talaga. Ang gaganda din ng projects na ginagawa niya. Excited ako na makatrabaho siya. Happy din daw siya na magkasama kami sa isang teleserye,” she said.

As for Rosales, Salvador admitted she has been a fan of the actor because of his brilliance as seen in his previous work.

“Never ko na-imagine [na magiging leading lady niya ako] pero excited din ako. Kasi dati pinapanood ko siya sa ‘Pangako Sa ’Yo.’ Parang walang pinagbago 'yung galing niya sa pag-arte. Masasabi ko na being part of this teleserye is a big step and big challenge for my career,” she said.

Having been in showbiz for 10 years now, Salvador said she is extremely grateful to ABS-CBN for giving her different projects that will showcase her talents.

“Never pa kasi ako nakagawa ng project na halos parehas. Yearly, palaki ng palaki. Laging bago. Ganon lagi sa akin. Feeling ko mas okay 'yun kasi kapag naging kampante ka sa isang bagay, baka maapekuhan yung trabaho. Kaya ako okay ako na laging may kaba, takot na baka hindi swak sa akin yung isang character or kung magagawa ko ba ng tama 'yung role ko,” she said.

The working title of Salvador’s upcoming series is “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.”
