Sorry, Pinoys Still Need A Visa to Visit Japan

On Thursday, the Japanese embassy issued a statement denying it had removed visa requirements for Filipinos.
"The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines would like to clarify to the public that Japan has not lifted the visa exemption for the Philippines contrary to the recent reports. However, Japan has opened multiple-entry Visas to Filipinos," it said.
Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on June 25 saying it is granting multiple entry visas for Filipino citizens, valid for three years.
"In celebration of the 40th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, the Government of Japan has decided to begin issuance from July 1, of multiple entry visas for short-term stay to nationals of the Republic of the Philippines (ordinary passport holders) who reside in their home country," the MOFA said on its website.
Granting multiple entry visas is expected to increase the number of Filipino tourists who visit Japan.
The MOFA said Filipinos who have fulfilled certain conditions and who have an ordinary Machine-Readable passport (MRP), which meet International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards or an ordinary IC passport, may get a multiple entry visa.
With the visa, Filipinos may stay for 15 days in Japan. The multiple entry visa will be valid for up to three years.
Filipino netizens were abuzz about a report that erroneously indicated Japan granted visa exemptions to the Philippines and four other ASEAN countries.
However, Japan only granted visa exemptions to nationals of Thailand and Malaysia.
Filipinos who are interested in getting a visa to Japan should apply at the Japanese embassy through accredited agencies. The Japanese embassy in the Philippines does not accept direct visa applications.

The beautiful couple who were once sweet together had a very promising start having just come from broken relationships. The affair developed on the set of a project they did together, and even spent a lot of time with each other even after the show ended. Yet amidst all that, both never officially admitted that they were ever a couple.
But now, the writings are on the wall - reports of their alleged break-up are all over.
HH is is now being linked to a popular actress PA – the alleged reason why they broke up. Malicious tonques point to PA, as she was often seen with HH being sweet prior to HH and SS break-up. PA and HH have worked together in some projects in the past, including movies.
But did PA really cause it?
Recent talks have it alleging that HH’s courting of SS was just a set-up – a sort of vendetta. SS split with an ex EX prior to her rumored affair with HH has caused EX to almost commit suicide from depression. HH and EX have common friends CF who were very close and sympathetic to EX. CF’s could not take EX’s plight sitting down and vowed to take up the cudgels for him.
CF’s reportedly devised a plot against SS for dumping EX so bad that they felt she, too, deserved to have it. CF’s met up with HH to talk and convinced him to help them as it would mean justice for their dear friend EX. The plan meant HH would court and charm SS until she would eventually fall for him. And just as SS would have gone madly in love, HH would abandon and drop her like a dirty, old rug. Yes, very much like what she did to EX.
And the way thing have turned out of late, justice was indeed served.
“Justice is sweet and musical; but injustice is harsh and discordant.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Dear Fashion PULIS Readers (Supporters and Haters)
Screen grab of the letter from micki*****@yahoo.com.ph
The "Letter from a Reader: Carrying Her Karma" was emailed to me without me knowing who the person behind the letter sender is. He/she provided the details and I edited them as I saw fit. Had I wanted it another way, I would have written it as a BLIND ITEM and gambled my credibility - but I did not.
One of the reasons why Fashion PULIS has become widely read is because I try my best to be unbiased. I write and publish anything worth posting, no matter who the personalities are. It is not my fault when celebrities feel alluded to and they and their fans react and become uncontrollable. Fashion PULIS has evolved to become an online venue for readers to praise, critique, vent, laugh and be entertained by the articles published and through comments that they diligently post.
Please be informed: I write what I see, what I hear, and what I read. That is my responsibility to all my readers.
Thank you very much!

No More Jeering About the Birds and the Bees

Controversial Teen CT has gotten involved in issues that are way too “adult” for someone her age. Not too long ago, she got embroiled in a major scandal that almost ruined her person and wiped out her career. Some say that CT’s personality and ways are too matured for her age, making her a target of malicious talks – both real and imagined. For someone like her, CT’s adult choices certainly do her more harm than good.
CT must have been so enamored with seductive actor SA when they were doing a project together, such that even after the show’s conclusion, they continued to get in touch and update each other - eating out and dating. Until the attraction became uncontrollable – that one day, ‘something intense’ happened. CT’s adventurism caught her off-guard, never realizing that the “act” would rip and pain her a lot. Insiders had a field day exchanging notes that the act confirms SA’s rumored “giftedness,” while alluding to CT’s much-older ex as tiny.
Anyway, the unstoppable CT is at it again – now reportedly contemplating a serious relationship with a cute tv actor TA. The feelings between the two are mutual, but as opposed to CT’s daring and bold moves, the guy TA is mature enough to prioritize career over love matters. But some friends cautioned him though that he better be on-guard all the time to watch out for CT’s advances. One thing may lead to another and he’ll never know.
When that happens, where does that leave TA’s big-hearted benefactor BB? Can BB afford to lose CT? Not when he’s clowning around.

FP, I am not a relative of the the actress, but just an insider privy to the happenings and milestones in the family. But I feel just as miserable myself having witnessed the events and the major upheavals in their lives.
Over the years, this actress has denied knowing the whereabouts of her loved one. In fact, this longing has been played on as a sad story on her part, perhaps, to gain sympathy, or to portray her as someone longing for love and affection.
But the truth is that her loved one had a certain illness - a fact that the actress knew all along, but never admitted. Was she so embarrassed that this will adversely affect her career?
Her loved one had been staying in a city down south (ironically, this city used to be very familiar to her being her ex's hometown), under the care of private nurses and some relatives. Only once did the actress give money to help, but she had never visited her, not even once. How her relatives hate her for treating an important family member this way.
Now we wonder if this actress and her management will exploit this personal matter to gain sympathy and publicity. Will she cry her heart out in a showbiz interview and express regret for all that she failed to do? Definitely, crying stunts like those will boost up her popularity while she’s on hiatus. Is her consistent denial commensurate to the fame and fortune she is now enjoying?
The public deserves to know the truth. While she projects herself as the underdog, she has committed the biggest sin of denying someone. Yet, we can only pray that she realizes how much pain she has caused her loved one, and that she changes her ways before it’s too late.
More power, FP!
Micki
