The Filipino showbiz watcher has a peculiar trait that lords over the decisions of producers, talent management, and even advertisers. When talents are paired and subsequently accepted by the public, stakeholders move heaven and hell to plan the best course of action that would bring in the money. Now, the fandoms would demand that the reel loveteam should be real.

Several reel partnerships eventually succumbed to the pressure of transforming their work relationship into a love relationship. When the couple admits they are official, fans are delighted and give their full support to the celebrities. That support, however, comes with a price when fans start demanding as though they are the ones in the relationship. In addition, fans want to be informed and aware of every moment of the couple. Worse, showbiz couples are subjected to unsolicited opinion or advice and bashing if the fans do not get their way.

Given this situation, a number of celebrities have decided to play along with the fans and keep quiet about their private lives. For the sake of their careers, the truth of having a relationship with a non-showbiz partner is always kept away from the public. Lucky is the celebrity who has an understanding non-showbiz partner, who has to accept that he/she might not be acknowledged in public for the sake of keeping fans sane. In some cases, the non-showbiz partner becomes the recipient of insults and negative comments by fans who insist a reel couple should end up together.

Is this scenario the reason for the silence of Handsome Actor (HA) when it comes to his relationship with his reel partner? HA often plays along with the fandoms to make them swoon whenever he is seen with his reel partner. Allegedly, HA is in a relationship with a well-to-do non-showbiz woman. To protect her, HA does what is required for his loveteam to flourish and please fans.
