Endorsements are beneficial for celebrities and the endorsed products. By using the status of a celebrity, a product can gain mileage visibility and potential sales increase as well. These days, social media followers are considered as a factor in choosing the face of a brand along with the values or reputation of a celebrity.
When Popular Company (PC) chose Well-known Figure (WF) to work with, the company valued the mileage of WF and her overall preferences. After all, many find WF a role model. For years, WF proved PC made the right choice. However, as soon as the contract ended, WF immediately unfollowed the social media accounts of PC.
Nonetheless, her camp opted to continue with projecting her nice, clean image. Like many other endorsers, a gratitude message was issued. However, something was allegedly off in the note in terms of the actual role WF had in the company. WF claimed a higher designation than what was projected to the public.
The question is if that claim was intentional to attract the attention of other brands, as bridges seemed to have been burned behind the statement.

Questionable Choice

After the recasting of a project was announced, cast members and production staff were surprised at the choice of the management. Reliable actresses from the network expressed their interest and were among the ones left wondering why they were snubbed.
Initially, an actress was approached for the role, but she refused at being the second choice. Besides, she did not want to be in lockdown for the shoot. Meanwhile, Another Actress (AA) was confident to be chosen, as other female possibilities had just completed work or were dealing with personal matters. AA was confident she would get the role.
Sadly, AA was disappointed as the role was given to Female Talent (FT), who does not have as much acting experience as she has. Tongues started wagging at the choice of FT for the plum role in the project. Even the lead cast members wondered when FT was named. One lead even approached the production head and expressed his apprehension. He was assured that FT would be able to pull it through.
What then was the reason for FT’s choice? Rumors indicated that Influential Personality (IP) pushed for FT to get the role. As IP is among the trusted and dependable production heads of the network, his expression of support for FT was given weight. Now, alleged stories of IP and FT being seen in a car in the network’s parking lot are spreading. What is puzzling to those who have seen IP and FT together is that he is rumored to be in a relationship with a female celebrity.

Talents these days have to be extra careful with their words and actions, as walls have ears and talk easily reaches people who are not supposed to know their thoughts. Haughty Talent (HT) and Unsettled Female (UF) were already prepared and ready to leave for a stay-in shoot. After many months of between jobs, they finally had a project. Then, at the last minute, they were informed that they were no longer part of the cast. The reason given to them was unclear and ‘management decision’ was said. Even their handlers were clueless why the cast was changed.
Apparently, HT and UF were talking about moving to other management teams while they were waiting for a meeting with what could have been their project. UF was worried that her career was going nowhere and that her talent fee had been slashed, as her exposure has not been maximized. UF felt she has not been visible to her fans outside of Luzon, where her following is plenty. Similarly, HT shared that he wanted to move, as he had offers before. UF said that he should take her as well. Further, they agreed that they would move after they complete their project.
What HT and UF did not know was that a Production Executive (PE) was listening to their discussion. PE was not pleased and believed that the two were out to get money and exposure. Commitment to the network seemed unimportant. Subsequently, PE told higher management about HT and UF. Hence, the two were booted out. For now, the future of the two are hanging, as no management teams are interested.
