Marriage Crisis

Sometime ago, Retired Talent (RT) was on the verge of making a stable career. She was a fresh face amidst the usual singers and dancers, and her name had recall. Soon, she was in various programs and movies. Such was a sign that she could make it big in the industry. Typically, with the space for fame once again occupied by wannabees, RT had to find her own opportunities and had to take a break from acting.
Meanwhile, RT found love with a Showbiz Personality (SP). SP, who is related to a controversial Network Personality (NP), tried his luck in showbiz. However, his career remained at a certain level, as being in the shadow of NP did not do much wonder. Thus, SP had to strike on his own and explore other opportunities. However, acting offers would come once in a while and SP would make himself available. With his work came the balancing act of maintaining a family life with RT.
Although often away from the limelight, the state of marriage of RT and SP is making its way into the grapevine. Apparently, the rumor revolves around an alleged Health Professional (HP) who is fancying SP even if she knows he has a family and kids. HP is familiar with showbiz insiders, as she has participated in various functions that touched on a bit of the entertainment industry. Age was not an issue between HP and SP. SP was pursued.
Friends who are hearing about the rumors started to worry for the marriage of RT and SP. After all, the two seemed like an ideal couple and a third party might not be a welcomed factor in the life of RT and SP. What troubled their friends is that HP has an image, which makes her a role model of sorts. Thus, having the alleged affair with SP does not speak well for her professional and personal reputation.

Even if PP has lasted for many years, his career has undergone the typical life cycle of many talents. He gained fame early in his career, then puberty hit. Unless one pushes for a teeny-bopper career during puberty, one is assured of a strong career. In the case of PP, competition for loveteams was too high at that time. Soon, PP was relegated to supporting roles.
Then, maturity was good for PP, as fans started to notice PP for his talents once again. When PP regained his slot in the consciousness of fans, his effort was acknowledged, but such came with a price. His quiet private life was unearthed. Usually, talents are instructed to keep their lives private, especially if they are involved with non-showbiz personalities. As soon as rumors started to float about PP seriously pursuing Non-showbiz Girlfriend (NG), his handlers were at a loss at how they can bury PP’s personal commitment.
PP tried hard to keep NG away from the limelight, but circumstances changed all that. NG became the subject of speculations. Curiosity was heightened for knowing who NG was. Unfortunately, her privacy was intruded upon by bashers and subsequently, PP received harsh comments for not keeping true to his reel commitment.
PP was not pressured in giving up NG. Between his career and NG, his choice was obvious, that is, love. When issues surrounding PP and NG slowed down, the rumor has started to spread. Allegedly, NG was spotted at a hospital, looking as though she had gained weight and in the expecting stage. Meanwhile, PP has not made any announcement to verify or deny this rumor. However, his fans are rooting for his fatherhood role in the life of NG.

SM Assures Employee Compensation; Gives Financial Assistance for Guards and Janitors
With the unprecedented global health crisis, companies under SM today stand in solidarity with the nation and the citizenry in the battle against COVID-19.
SM today assured all of its employees their regular compensation as well as the extension of an Emergency Financial Assistance to its front liners, security guards and janitorial staff during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period from March 16 to April 14, 2020. The extent of this assistance includes the following:
All employees will receive their regularly scheduled salaries during the ECQ period without deductions made against their Vacation and Sick Leaves;
The company’s front liners, who comprise the skeletal workforce, will, in addition, be provided with premium pay;
All Security Guards and Janitorial staff will receive financial assistance of PHP5,000 for the period.
It is focused on helping these key resources so that they in turn can be of service to others.
On a daily basis since the ECQ, SM has also been undertaking measures to protect the safety and welfare of its front line personnel with protective gear, meals, and transportation whenever possible.
“In these trying times, we are in unchartered territories. Let’s be one with each other, united in the spirit of service. Let’s be mindful of our front liners and help with their need to be alert so they can continue to do their best in working for the safety and health of our communities,” said Hans T. Sy on behalf of the Sy family.
SM continues to assess the health crisis with vigilance; enjoining its employees and the public to follow guidelines and precautions to help combat the virus.
This financial assistance is another commitment to fighting the negative effects of COVID-19. Earlier, SM made separate announcements to waive tenant rentals nationwide as well as to support health workers as they actively fight the spread of COVID-19 with PHP100 million worth of protective equipment, testing kits and supplies.
