Falling in love with a woman who comes from a closely-knit clan means one has to gain the clan’s approval as well. In other words, much adjustment and giving-in must be done to ensure relationships would be smooth for the sake of the couple’s love. However, if the relatives find something they dislike, a couple’s relationship might eventually collapse.
When Passionate Actor (PA) and Wealthy Offspring (WO) hooked up, the clan was cynical as to what future PA could lead WO to. Although WO could afford to do what pleases her, she stood by PA for the moment. At the height of their relationship, the clan’s attitude toward PA did not change. Worse, PA did not change either and showed the clan who he is, which disappointed WO’s family.
Thus, as their relationship of PA and WO allegedly ended, the clan made it clear that they can support WO and her child. They do not need him, as WO and her child will always have plenty without PA even lifting a finger. The family was turned off at the way PA would present himself. He was unkempt and smells of smoke and liquor. He gave the impression that he hardly bathed. With hygiene concerns, WO’s family prefers PA to stay away from the child.
Apparently, WO has already moved on from a failed relationship with PA. She’s raring to resume her life, which was stalled with the entry of PA. However, PA did not want her to go back to her career and this disagreement caused tension in their relationship. WO has been known to move on or bounce back from her encounters with men. Thus, PA is just but one of them. WO is even teased as an expert on moving on in her circle of friends. Who knows, WO might even make a bigger comeback than PA.
‘Take those chances and you can achieve greatness, whereas if you go conservative, you'll never know. I truly believe what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Even if you fail, learning and moving on is sometimes the best thing.’ -Danica Patrick

Repost: Kathryn Bernardo Is Certified Dual 800M Plus Box Office Queen

There is no doubt Kathryn Bernardo is a superstar of her generation.
That status was cemented Tuesday with the announcement of the record-breaking gross of “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” her lastest film with long-time collaborator Cathy Garcia-Molina.
The OFW drama has totaled P880,603,490 in worldwide earnings as of September 3, making it the highest grossing Philippine film of all time, according to producer Star Cinema.
It surpassed the record set by “The Hows of Us” — also a Star Cinema production starring Bernardo and directed by Garcia-Molina — which grossed over P800 million at the conclusion of its international run in 2018.
With the box-office milestone of “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” Bernardo and Garcia-Molina now hold the distinction of being the only Filipino actress and director with two films earning more than P800 million each.
Bernardo was in tears Tuesday, as she took her turn to give a speech during the thanksgiving party celebrating the success of “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
The 23-year-old actress, whose acting career spans 16 years, admitted she had been apprehensive about taking on the project, noting it would be her first romance film without Padilla, her boyfriend of seven years and perennial leading man.
“Tinanong ko ‘yung sarili ko, ‘Ready na ba? Kaya ko na ba ‘to mag-isa, na wala si DJ (Padilla)?’” she said, recalling her hesitation to accept the role. “Ngayon, na-realize ko na kung hindi ko tinanggap ‘tong project na ‘to, iyon ‘yung biggest regret of my life.”
“Hello, Love, Goodbye” saw the first team-up of Bernardo and Alden Richards — a noteworthy pairing given their backgrounds. Aside from being homegrown talents of rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA-7, Bernardo and Richards are identified with two of the biggest love teams in local showbiz, KathNiel and AlDub.
Against their expectations, the untested tandem got overwhelmingly positive response, not only going by the movie’s box-office performance, but the goodwill built among their loyal fans, old and new.
“Hindi ko alam, grabe,” an ecstatic Bernardo said, when asked for her reaction to beating her own record. “Dito ko napatunayan na kapag minahal mo ‘yung project o ginagawa mo, babalik sa ‘yo. Kung ano ‘yung tinanim mo, aanihin mo talaga. Siguro, nag-reflect lang kung paano ‘yung pagmamahal na binigay namin sa bawat pelikula. I’m really thankful. [It’s] surreal. Hindi ko alam kung paano nangyayari ‘to ngayon.”
