Humility Matters

Often, one’s background could dictate one’s choices in life. Such adage applies to everyone regardless of status. Choices matter, but how choices are made is just as important. For children of celebrities, the pressure to live up to the expectations of the followers of their parents can be a burden. A celebrity’s child, if not properly raised, might even rebel against having a famous parent.
Coming from a respected family and being raised by reputable parents, Reluctant Personality (RP) realized at an early age that he is not an ordinary child. A well-off lineage and high-profile parents have spelled his fate and RP knew that he could either live to the expectations demanded by heritage or live incognito.
As RP was growing up, the public knew about his existence, but his privacy was well kept. He himself had not exerted effort to gain attention and declare his presence. RP is good-looking and can pass off as a showbiz heartthrob. Given the connections of the family that raised him, RP could have done that and lose his privacy in the process. He could have enjoyed the limelight.
However, RP has turned out to be different compared with other children of celebrities. Instead of exposing himself to the public or displaying his real identity, RP preferred to take the backseat. Occasionally, he would be seen with a noted parent, but more often, he would shy away. Allegedly, he has consciously expressed his desire that he would rather be a private citizen and work in a private company. RP does not want to draw attention to himself and in case, he is recognized, he politely acknowledges the recognition and goes on his way.
By contrast, the humility of RP is in stark contrast with the family that raised him, who has the responsibility of making sure he is well-guarded. His parents can sometimes be a bit showy and catch people off-guard with their attitude.

Cruel or Admirable

Finding out the truth can be as hurtful as hiding the truth. Thus, when Gifted Talent (GT) realized he would soon be in the middle, he knew he had to decide. On the one hand, Hopeful Celebrity (HC) was falling for his charms and on the other hand, His Love (HL) was figuring out where she should place herself. Between his career and his love, GT had to make up his mind.
Sometime ago, GT surprised the industry by reinventing himself and awakening the following of fans who grew up with him. During his awkward phase, GT, like most actors, reached stagnancy in his career. He was too awkward for kid roles and too young for matinee idol characters. Though talented, GT had to take the backseat and figure out what to do with his career. As time moved, new actors, more good-looking and exciting, emerged. Soon, roles that could have been given to him were allocated to give the newbies a try. GT’s career was in limbo.
A good actor cannot be left out in the cold for long. Producers took a gamble on him and GT grabbed the opportunity to make a mark for each role. Once again, GT was in the consciousness of the big producers. In a wink, GT was the toast of the town. Roles were given left and right because his old followers were now back to support him.
Unfortunately, much of his past had to be played up. Predictably, GT and HC were partnered to see if they still have the ‘it’ factor. Their partnership work and their loveteam, as adults, became hot. Followers supported the pairing and soon, the reel feelings were being transformed on the side of HC allegedly. Meanwhile, GT never spoke of his present personal life, which made things colorful with HC. The fans loved the pairing of GT and HC, while HL was never mentioned at all.
One day, evidence emerged from social media that GT was with another woman. The posts infuriated the fans of GT and HC. HL was on the receiving end as well. The situation had potential to explode in the face of GT. Meanwhile, HC was posting cryptic messages, which were interpreted to be against GT. Accusations of HC being used by GT were common, but he had to man up at the risk of his career. While others sympathized with HC, others could not understand her sometimes over the top reactions. The hurt was real.
Apparently, something deeper was in the truth of the relationship of GT and HL. They were not just a simple couple, as they were already live-in partners. Even when GT was playing along with HC, HL was at home waiting. Hence, the gravity of the frustration of HC can now be understood.
