Cooperation At Its Kindness

When a business deal seems to good to be true, options are carefully studied to make sure the benefits are equal to both parties. Once, every detail has been ironed out, implementation should be done immediately. What started out as a rumor and even thought of as unthinkable started to materialize. Fans were caught off guard, as the project seemed impossible to happen, as competition is too tough.
As soon as Creative Camp 1 (CC1) thought of doing something offbeat and risky for Box-Office Talent (BT), the only thing that was needed was for Creative Camp 2 (CC2) to agree. Although CC2 has been known to free talents for projects that are not confined to their walls, CC1 could only be happy that CC2 agreed to let go of Matinee Personality (MP).
After talks were finalized, CC1 was surprised at CC2’s odd request of moving the start of production earlier than the original mid-year schedule. There was no need to sugarcoat reality and CC2 admitted needing help from CC1 via the said project. The career of MP needs recharging, as the mystery behind his lack of personal interest in Popular Figure (PF) has been getting too much flak. Moreover, questions about his preferences and getting his family involved are becoming uncontrollable.
CC2 thought that an MP and BT project could lessen the fixation of the public on pushing MP to PF, even if the latter seems to have set aside MP already. CC1 was understanding concerning the issues of CC2 and thus, the management agreed to start the ball rolling. Hence, all the requisites prior to the actual filming were implemented within a few days. MP is ready and so is BT, as both are between projects. In addition, the production team of CC1 is excited to work with MP, who is deemed as dedicated to his craft and easy to work with. The attention coming from fans and bashers of MP and BT clearly gave the two camps an optimistic picture of the project’s outcome.

“Sobrang saya namin ni DJ ngayon.”
This was Kathryn Bernardo’s statement as she belied rumors suggesting that she and boyfriend Daniel Padilla have already called it quits.
During a Facebook Live broadcast for one of her endorsements on Sunday, Bernardo was prodded to address the issue.
“Sasagutin ko na ito kasi ang dami talagang tweets. Saan ba galing 'yung news na 'yun? Hindi talaga. Sobrang saya namin ni DJ ngayon,” she said.
“Hindi porke’t hindi kami nagpo-post na magkasama kami, hindi ibig sabihin hindi kami okay. Privacy na lang namin 'yung iba. Wala kaming problema. Super okay kami,” she added.
Reiterating she doesn’t know where the rumors are coming from, Bernardo said: “Just to be clear, we are okay. Nothing to worry about. Wala talaga ito, I swear to God.”
During the same broadcast, Bernardo also talked about their decision not to work together this year.
“I think this is the most challenging year for me. At the end of this year, gusto ko ma-achieve 'yung growth ko siguro individually… Kasi for the longest time, kami [ni DJ] 'yung magkasama, and this year 'yung pinakamalaking challenge sa akin and sa kanya kasi magkahiwalay muna kami, not in real life but as a love team,” she said.
Bernardo said their time apart at work would make them look forward to their reunion project with eagerness.
“'Yan ang gusto namin ma-achieve para by the time na magka-reunion project kami, we are both ready individually. And, ewan ko, feeling ko mas buo kami,” she said.
For now, she intends to give her 100% when she finally begins filming her upcoming movie with Alden Richards.
“I'm very happy kasi I said yes. Tinanggap ko itong project na ito with open arms. Gagawin ko siya 100% na kaya ko ibigay. Napa-proud ako sa sarili ko na nagawa ko 'yun. Malayo 'yun sa comfort zone ko. So sabi ko I want to take this challenge. I have to do this for my growth,” she said.

Not Really Spontaneous

After much speculation, a loud secret was finally confirmed and the public could only react with, ‘We already know’. While everything looked spontaneous, behind the scene stories indicate otherwise.
Veteran observers and experts of public relations would often be more conscious and cynical of what celebrities project on traditional and non-traditional media. The public, fans, and stakeholders would see the image or statements of celebrities depending on their perspective. For example, fans would praise their idols for a statement of admission, whereas stakeholders know that any public statement made by a celebrity has an underlying objective.
Thus, when seemingly Innocent Actor (IA) went on air and admitted information about his relationship with Pretty Performer (PP), viewers had diverse reactions. The common reaction was toward the seemingly nonchalant way of IA in responding to questions about his private life. Then, the usual praises about being honest and brave started coming in for IA.
What is not known is that the revelation was an alleged well-crafted plot that had a two-fold objective. The first is for the issue to finally die down and second, to generate interest in a project of PP. Prior to the said revelation, the staff wrote questions that would eventually lead to IA’s admission. As an actor, IA knew how to react and act as though it was an ‘oops’ moment. Although PP has been hinting about their status, she really wants the truth to come from IA.
Such admission should not go to waste and obviously, was done at a perfect time. With PP doing a major project, her management team wants her to prove that she can be independent, but at the same time, feared she might not be able to deliver the expectation. So, to have something to be talked about and place PP in the consciousness of the audience, a personal matter was chosen as the best way to generate interest. Thus, the big admission was done by IA.
Whether the supposed to be controversial spilling of beans helped PP reach her goal in the project remains to be seen.

The Sandiganbayan's 7th Division ordered the "prompt" suspension of Quezon City Councilor Roderick Paulate over a pending graft case for allegedly having some 30 ghost employees on his office's payroll.
"Accused Roderick Mendenilla Paulate is hereby ordered suspended from office and...is directed to cease and desist from further performing and/or exercising the functions, duties, and privilege of his position as Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Quezon City," the anti-graft court said.
Associate Justices Zaldy Trespeses, Maria Theresa Dolores Gomez Estoesta, and Georgina Hidalgo ordered Interior Secretary Eduardo Año to implement the order and submit a report on actions taken within 5 days.
Paulate's suspension will last 90 days, from the start of the order's enforcement.
Paulate is facing one count of graft and multiple counts of falsification of public documents. He is accused of pocketing P1.109 million in taxpayers' money from July to November 2010 by claiming these were the salaries of some 30 ghost employees.
Prosecutors said Paulate's staff prepared documents such as personal data sheets for the 30 ghost employees. These were then endorsed to the city's Office of the Vice Mayor for approval, along with certification that the employees completed 40 hours of service per week.
Paulate's driver and liaison officer Vicente Bajamunde was also implicated in the case as he allegedly collected the salaries of the ghost employees by using undated authorization letters.
Paulate opposed the suspension order, arguing that the Court of Appeals reversed the Office of the Ombudsman's ruling against him in a related administrative case as there was insufficient evidence.
Paulate also said suspending him would serve no purpose as the Ombudsman had already completed its investigation. He added that the Local Government Code of 1991 also prohibits suspension of local officials 90 days before an election. The 2019 elections are set for May 13, with Paulate running for Quezon City vice mayor.
The Sandiganbayan, however, rejected the councilor's arguments. The court cited Republic Act No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, which mandates the suspension of public officials facing corruption charges.
The Sandiganbayan also said that as an incumbent official, Paulate "logically possesses influence."
"This is a reality that we cannot ignore, hence, the legal presumption that unless the accused is suspended, he may frustrate his prosecution or commit further acts of malfeasance or do both," the court said. – Rappler.com
