Challenging Diva

The production staff of rival network sighed when they were told that Diva Actress (DA) would no longer be working with them. Although highly respected in her own right, DA has been a cause of headache for the staff. She would demand nothing but high professionalism for her co-actors, who were essentially newbies and could not match the standard she wants. Well, with the stars of the series unable to act, DA would get a bit irritated. Besides, DA can be frank and outspoken, which made some staff uneasy.
Thus, when DA was offered to do a project in Another Station (AS), this network welcomed her with open arms as well as a higher talent fee. Other than recognizing her competence as an actress, AS needs senior talents to hone their growing number of young talents, some of whom have potential to become important performers later on.
Even if AS has heard about the diva attitude of DA, that did not matter, as their Work Team (WT) would reciprocate with professionalism. After all, WT knew they had a good project in their hands and DA was perfect for her role. Nonetheless, WT witnessed the behavior of DA, which made them work on their toes whenever she has a scene.
DA had a number of requests that WT had to give in, otherwise, their project would not be as good as it had turned out. First, DA brought her own glam team, which, of course, implied one less makeup artist from their pool. Moreover, a separate glam team would mean extra production budget. Second, to keep her figure and looks, DA was allegedly allocated a budget for her food. Although WT seemed to find these whims of DA, to their surprise, DA was so effective in her role that their project delivered more than they had expected. Besides, DA had good words and did good deeds for her young co-actors as well. However, her next project is still up in the air, as WT is still thinking if they could withstand working with her.

Marvel Studios´ co-president Louis D´Esposito broke up with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, who is fighting skin cancer.
The breakup happened a few weeks ago, a source close to Torres told El Nuevo Día.
Last February 4, the Puerto Rican actress and model announced she was diagnosed with cancer and explained that it was her now-ex fiancé who insisted and made an appointment for her to see a doctor.
El Nuevo Día learnt that the couple broke up soon after the announcement and that D´Esposito did it over the phone.
D´Esposito´s decision to call off the engagement with Torres affected her kids Cristian and Ryan, revealed the Spanish version of People, today.
A source close to Torres told People that D´Esposito said “It´s too much for me”. “He told her that he too much work and that it was too much for him,” said the source.
Just last Friday, former Miss Universe posted a video on Instagram where she looked happy, calm and strong as she undergoes skin cancer treatment.
Her friend and stylist Paul Anthony was all the time by her side while the Puerto Rican actress and model started her melanoma treatment. Torres thanked her friend for being one of the “angels on earth” that brings her peace and did not mention her now ex fiancé, neither did she do so on social media.
"Always grateful for so much ... And with these angels on earth ... @paulanthonylove Thank you for your light, your peace, for teaching me to meditate and for your beautiful friendship and my Queen Mother, Lela ... Thank you, your example taught me to be strong and to get ahead ... I feel so blessed to have you here with me and to be holding your hand to walk on ," wrote Torres who received thousands of encouraging messages and good wishes from her followers in a few hours.
Their love story was revealed last year and they got engaged in October.
That touching moment came on Saturday, October 27 after Torres´ birthday party. They were surrounded by their families and closest friends.
El Nuevo Día learnt that the D´Esposito asked for Lucy (Torres´ mother) and Ryan and Cristian´s (the two sons she had with Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony) for their approval before proposing to her.
The producer gave her a 6 carat cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.
During her visit to Puerto Rico, Torres told this newspaper that she was in love and happy. “I have never been happier in my life, that´s why I am trying to keep it quiet. Once it comes out, if it comes out, we´ll see,” she said back then.
The Puerto Rican beauty queen said they had fallen in love really soon and they had been together for less than a year.
