Whenever celebrities grace a special occasion in a town far away from the capital, some behave differently from the image they project in public. Away from the press and nosy cityfolk, celebrities would show their personality or the side that they think is apt for the audience.
During a town celebration, Known Celebrity (KC) and His Wife (HW) were invited to grace the occasion. Unknown to them, the people in the crowd comprised people coming from the town and from other places. Although KC and HW would often shuttle from this town to the capital, the event was an opportunity to observe the couple up close and personal. Whenever they are in the capital, they are usually with security and are hard to watch.
As the people gravitated to the couple, others noticed the difference in their behavior. Although he is the bigger celebrity, KC took time to pose with the crowd, do small talk, and make the people feel he was with them. KC was charismatic in dealing with people and impressing most of the crowd. By contrast, HW gave a different stance. She was aloof and hardly smiled at the crowd. She was physically present, but some people in the crowd felt she seemed bored and wanted to leave. She did not even make any eye contact with the audience. Worse, she made people feel how small they were with her attitude.
The couple’s humble beginnings moved KC and HW to work hard to achieve whatever they owned now. From being known simply as KC’s partner, HW was noticed and she eventually became a celebrity in her own right. With money coming in, HW started to dress in fashion and even developed a taste for high-end European bags.
As KC worked the crowd, HW made her presence felt by her negative attitude throughout the event.
