Costly Letting Go

When one feels the time is right, one simply plungers into settling down without regard for the what-ifs. As long as the feelings are right, some people commit their lives to forever even if they have known their partners only for a short time. Then, when all filters are down and the best foot has been taken aback, the test begins.

Eager Actress (EA) thought she found Her Forever (HF) in low profile man. Although HF is new to showbiz life, it did not matter to EA. All she thought was that she found the man with whom she was willing to share her life with. That also meant, her sharing of everything she has worked for in her impressive career in the entertainment industry.

By going steady with EA, HF found himself thrown in the limelight, as EA is far more popular. Her fans became curious as to the man who could make EA settle down and forget her career. For EA, family came first and thus, she took time out from entertaining people. It seems she has found bliss.

After some time, the commitment was showing cracks, which were causing problems. Throughout her public life, EA has been known to be a workaholic. She worked hard and was moving from one project to another, which made her financially secure. Then, she decided to drop everything to be with HF, who was allegedly not as he had expected in a partner.

Allegedly, HF could not brush off a laidback lifestyle and his attitude toward work and fending for his family was disappointing. In terms of standards, HF was deemed ‘lazy.’ He has no solid career outside of his field and it seems EA was supporting him. She could not take it and thus, she made a decision: It was over. However, such is not easy, as that meant swallowing her pride for EA and facing the ‘I told you so’ moments for her whirlwind romance.

Between living with contempt for HF and her peace of mind, EA chose the latter. However, the choice came with a hefty price. EA opened her wallet and gave HF a very hefty sum of money for him to leave. So much for his laziness. For such an amount, EA is slowly realizing that nothing is cheap, but if it’s for her serenity, financial matters can be resolved later anyway.
