With her predicament, FT talked to her handler and aired her frustration. FT has the looks and talent, but still, something is missing, which is preventing her from achieving fame and a steady career. Unfortunately, truth hurts and a reality check shows that past choices and attitude of FT have kept her at the lower rung of the steps toward fame.
When she was starting out, which was a time when she and her contemporaries were on the same footing, FT showed her attitude when she was being matched with Cute Discovery (CD). At that time, FT actually had a slight advantage because her name was already being associated with Non-showbiz Heartthrob (NH).
Instead of embracing the possible loveteam with CD, she refused the idea and instead, stuck it out with NH. CD was a virtual unknown then, which FT could have considered. The problem was that while she had a love life with NH, her career took second priority. Rumor had it that FT would sometimes sneak out with NH and spend long hours with him. Nothing came out of her relationship with NH, as his family had other plans, which did not include FT in the picture.
As FT is the breadwinner and without a sustaining project, she decided to accept out of town gigs without formally telling her management, who should get a commission for her appearances. Instead of sympathizing with her situation, the management reprimanded FT. FT has to learn to follow rules, especially with her management who holds the key to her career.
Meanwhile, as FT struggled with her career, CD has gone from being an unknown talent to one whose potential has been tapped by the management. At this time, CD has several projects and has even gained recognition for his work. Moreover, CD seems to be caught in between two female talents who seem to like him. One has yet to admit anything formally, while the other used to be a significant person in his life. The latter, similar to what FT probably thought, did not bother with CD then. Times have changed and stories have it that she still has feelings for CD.
Allegedly, FT, as a fallback, has sent feelers to another station. Citing reasons that she wants to grow as an actress and explore other options, FT is looking at the other station as her new home once her contract expires. Sadly, this station is not reacting as expected. For the network, FT is not a coveted star, which makes the network not too keen on offering FT anything yet. For now, FT would just have to be content with what her present management could do for her career and take advantage of social media, where she could establish a strong influence in persuading her followers to become interested in products she is endorsing.
