Offer Denied

After No Longer Famous Actor (NL) left them, The Fan (TF) was left beleaguered and unsure of what had just transpired. The choice was between being rude and not thinking, and TF could not believe NL could have been both at one time.

Although NL has long left his glory days, he is still very recognizable and would make heads turn. After all, at the height of his career, he was among the gorgeous and attractive talents the network had. However, as times changed, age caught up with NL and thus, casting him became difficult. The younger and more talented actors started their claiming of their status in the network. This situation eventually made the environment tougher for NL, who is not exactly an “A” actor. Impatient and failing to adjust to the times, NL left his network and tried his luck away from the entertainment industry.

NL tried various ventures even before he left the industry. He was admired for investing his savings in projects that gave employment to others. However, one wrong move and what he had worked hard for started to close one by one. Then, his career fluctuated and retirement seems to be quite attractive. Despite the years, however, his fans remained loyal to him.

One day, while dining at a restaurant, TF saw NL and requested if they could have a photo together. TF was excited as it is not every day that she would come across a celebrity. Asking permission from her companions, NL asked TF. Then, NL said that he would personally take the selfie with his phone. At first, it did not strike TF and the gesture was even thought to be considerate. However, TF and her companions realized that NL might be hinting that he does not want a selfie with anyone at all. After all, how would be send the photo from his phone to TF? When TF realized the meaning of the response of NL, she moved away and felt very disappointed.

Cannot Close the Gap

The local showbiz industry takes pride in the saying about having no permanent enemies, only permanent interests. Thus, the industry and the public rejoice whenever celebrity enemies reconcile and let bygones be bygones. However, such might not be the case between Top Personality (TP) and Favorite Celebrity (FC). TP and FC are the latest best friends who have just cut ties and this news is sending shockwaves in their network.

The relationship of TP and FC began long before they became famous. Both became close when they were just starting out and were not even sure if they would be able to achieve their dream of fame and fortune. As hard work and persistence pay off, along with certain connections, TP and FC became a hit with the audience, and assured their network of a very bright future.

Although time and work created a gap in their closeness, FC and TP managed to rekindle their friendship years after the days when they were both wannabees. All was supposed to go well until TP created a major faux pas that offended FC.

In the spirit of joking, TP poked fun at part of a project that involved FC. This joke was taken personally by FC, as he felt that there was no need to ridicule a senior cast member in social media. FC gave a piece of his mind to TP and that created a deep crack in their friendship. Now, their professional dealings seem to have been affected as well.

Allegedly, TP has a silent request that none of the performers in the projects of FC be allowed in his show. This rule will have repercussions as the show of TP is a well-received venue for advertising upcoming shows and showing celebrities in their spontaneous moments. To add insult, TP would have more posts in his social media accounts on other shows and have none or keep at a minimal any post concerning FC and his program. Thus, Young Talent (YT) is caught between TP and FC, both of whom are like elders to him. TP has grown fond of YT and has supported his career, and FC has done the same.

While others think that their separate endeavors might have affected their friendship, the crack has actually started long before. The gap is widening, and kibitzers even likened their feud to families returning each other’s candles.
