Pia Wurtzbach Manager's Statement in Reply to the Allegations of Brunei Businesswoman

Official statement:

I thank Kathy for clarifying the issues she raised against Pia, and for apologizing for what she has done. Clearly, what happened was misunderstanding as she never heard Pia talk bad about anything. Pia is thankful for the hospitality that Kathy provided during her private vacation in Brunei.

As her manager, I was prepared to answer Kathy's claims, but she reached out to clarify her issues. Communication is really important to settle conflicts and prevent misunderstanding.

We learn from mistakes, however, and I hope what happened will serve as a lesson for artists, talents, managers and producers to formalize arrangements in order to avoid confusion and any problem.

Meanwhile, Pia is focused on her career, and watch out for her next endorsement, even as she continues to promote her advocacies on anti-bullying, and HIV/AIDS awareness and helping an organization send kids to school. In the next days, she will start to play a big role in these efforts.

A Crass Deed

Aging Actor (AA) seems to be heading for disaster if he is not careful with his actions. Sooner or later, someone might accuse him, of all crimes, rape, or at the very least, sexual harassment. While AA is struggling in his career, he has not really lost his appeal and could still manage to make head turns. However, his attitude could very well get him in trouble if he does not take heed.

Sometime ago, AA asked His Acquaintance (HA) if she wanted to hang out and that he will even be the one to pick her up at her place. Given that it was almost near midnight, HA said that she’ll take a rain check, as it was already late. A few days later, HA returned the favor and AA picked her up. As soon as she got in the passenger seat, she asked AA where they were heading and what they were going to do.

When AA spoke, HA started to worry because she could not believe that AA actually said with a serious face his intentions. AA allegedly said that since HA asked him to come over from his taping, he was taking her to his pad and they were going to have sex. The language was blunt, straight to the point. AA did not try to sugarcoat his intentions, and just said it out loud.

Trapped in his car and feeling a range of emotions, HA said, ‘No!’ Then, AA stopped his car, and asked HA to step down his vehicle. Immediately, HA got down and after a few seconds screamed at HA and called him, ‘Jerk!’ She was too astounded to say more, and she hardly heard the words HA uttered in response. Still shaken, HA tried to recollect what had just happened to her. The moment she regained her composure, she went back home.

After the incident, HA could not believe that AA could act in that manner, especially since they were not really close. Besides, she was not just any woman whom AA can just toy around with. While he has his needs, he chose the wrong woman to go to bed with. Thus, HA was so turned off and for someone in the stature of AA, his attitude toward women was uncalled for. Behind his amiable face apparently was someone who had distasteful intensions.

Incidentally, during the prime of his career, AA was indeed one of the crushes of his generation. He looked fresh and mastered the discipline to make sure he stayed in top shape and form. Thus, he could give his contemporaries a run for the one who has the best abs. Over the years, maintaining his body seemed to be easy for him, as he has been conscious that his edge over the younger ones is his physique. However, he was unable to maintain the momentum of his career, which resulted from several issues as well as lack of skills in the acting department.
