A Meaningfully Loaded Joke

Clients at a high-end salon were shocked when they experienced first-hand, the tactlessness of Antagonistic Celebrity (AC). Although AC has been subjected to commentaries on her attitude and way of dealing with people, she has become immune to such criticisms. Sometimes, when tabloid blind items are alluded to her, denials are immediately issued to protect her image. Despite all the damage control, AC unwittingly exhibits her true nature when cornered during ambush interviews.

When AC entered the high-end salon, waiting clients did not really budge as they were not interested familiar with her. AC probably looked familiar, but they did not care much, as they were getting their expensive treatments. Like the usual salons, various magazines where available for clients to read. From the corner of her eye, AC saw that one client was looking at the cover that featured Pretty Performer (PP) and Versatile Beauty (VB).

To have PP and VB together in a photo is a feat in itself, as both have accomplished so much in their careers since the time they were starting out in the same studio. Although VB was already active in the industry doing bit roles and ads, it was PP who had the head start. Since getting her big break, PP has never looked back, which sometimes gave the impression that she also did not want to look back to the time she was with her first network. Meanwhile, VB rose to fame because her projects clicked with the audience, but fame went with a price. Every move that she made seemed to be watch, and every faux pas was deemed laughable.

When AC saw that other clients were peaking at the cover of the said magazine, she overheard them praise the classy posts of VB and PP. Apparently, the clients were impressed with the spread and the fashion concept of the feature. AC jokingly went to see what the fuss was about, and with one look, she threw a one-liner. She allegedly said that VB looked like the aunt of PP. After a few seconds, she walked away and proceeded to the treatment room. The client could only shake her head and did not bother to respond because she realized that AC was not even worth comparing with the looks of VB and PP.
