Detained former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was rushed to the hospital on Saturday morning due to hypertension and vomiting, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
In a statement, PNP said Revilla was brought to the emergency room of the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame in Quezon City after he experienced vomiting, severe headache and hypertension. This is not the first the former senator has had a bout with hypertension.
Based on the recommendation of the hospital’s head doctor, PNP said Revilla was brought to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City onboard an ambulance. Revilla arrived at around 11:15 a.m.
As of posting time, the former senator is undergoing x-ray examination.
Revilla has been detained at the PNP custodial center after since June 2014 after he was charged with plunder in connection with the pork barrel scam for the alleged misuse of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF). IDL

An Admirable Move
Early in his career, DP was feared to be one of those talents who were only as good as their looks, with no acting depth to brag about. After all, DP was always considered for cute roles that required him to do the passion of teens, which was performing in front of an audience. However, he proved his critics wrong, as he impressed moviegoers and the industry when he ventured into drama.
Typical of any impressive actor is his being attractive to fans. Thus, DP was always a favorite for female fans and celebrities, as well. His settling down with His Wife (HW) surprised many of his followers, as they had a very low-key relationship. Nonetheless, DP proved that he indeed loves HW very much and that nothing would break them apart.
When Talented Celebrity (TC) expressed her desire to make another movie, she hinted that she might prefer DP to be his leading man, just like the old times. It seems that whenever TC meets DP, she gets all giddy and excited. TC never lets any opportunity pass to show that she herself goes into fan mode whenever she meets DP.
HW at first did not mind TC reconnecting with DP, as the two have been friends, anyway. Then, one day, the children of DP and HW started to become curious as to why TC behaves that way towards their father. Stunned at the query, HW was at a loss for words to respond. Thus, she told DP. During one of his taping days, TC arrived along with some goodies for DP. Then, they spent time talking. When HW learned of how TC goes out of her way to meet up with DP on his set, she told him to stop. To stop the tension, DP then told TC that she should lessen her visits to his set, so as not to aggravate the situation. This time, HW won and DP behaved.
