Veteran actor Julio Diaz is now on the road to recovery after undergoing cerebral angiogram and coiling.

In an interview with DZMM's "Aksyon Ngayon" on Friday, Diaz said that he is now stable but still can't say if he is already out of danger.

"Medyo may kaunting kirot pa pero so far papagaling na ito," Diaz said.

"I need more prayer," he added. "This angiogram, medyo mahal itong proseso ko ng medication na ito. I'm still looking for resource na pwede kong utangan."

Diaz said he is really lucky to have survived.

"Napaka-swerte ko pa din," he said, noting that the scorching summer heat also affected him. "At the same time kasi 57 na din ako hindi na din ako bata."

Diaz said that it will take two more weeks before he can finally leave the hospital.

Meanwhile, Diaz also thanked directors Mario J. delos Reyes and Brillante Mendoza, as well as fellow actors Gina Alajar, Robin Padilla, Cherry Pie Picache and Coco Martin, among others, for extending their help.

Diaz is best known for the 1993 award-winning epic "Sakay." Before his surgery, he was able to finish work on Mendoza's latest film, ""Ma' Rosa," which is set to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
